Attadib Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam a scientific journal for disseminating results of conceptual research or studies on Islamic religious education, is published two times (June and December) a year. The Attadib Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is managed by the Islamic religious education study program at Bone State Islamic Institute (IAIN Bone).The publications through Attadib Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam include results of research or conceptual studies about Teaching Islamic Education and Islamic Education Studies in the Indonesian or international context. The manuscript must be original research, not be simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. All submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by editors and then evaluated by a minimum of two external reviewers through the double-blind review process. This is to ensure the quality of the published manuscripts in the journal. Please kindly submit your manuscript on submission by referring to the template and author guidelines. Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the ISMUBA curriculum (Al-Islam, Kemuhammadiyahan, and Arabic Language) at Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Palopo, Indonesia. The research aims to analyze how this curriculum integrates Islamic values and character education within a boarding school system. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a phenomenological method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects included curriculum planners, ISMUBA teachers, and school administrators. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that the ISMUBA curriculum at MBS Palopo is implemented regularly and contextually through well-planned integration of theological, pedagogical, and contextual dimensions. Formal learning in classrooms is extended into non-formal character development programs such as religious mentoring, tahfidz, halaqah, and Islamic practices embedded in students' daily routines. The collaboration between teachers and dormitory supervisors reinforces the internalization of Islamic values, resulting in increased student discipline, spiritual awareness, and moral conduct. Evaluation mechanisms involve regular teacher coordination, behavioral observation, and student character monitoring, ensuring responsiveness to student needs. The study concludes that the ISMUBA curriculum at MBS Palopo serves as a central framework for character education, blending religious instruction with academic learning in a boarding school context. These findings contribute to the discourse on integrated Islamic education and provide a model for character-based curriculum implementation in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Muhammadiyah in fostering interethnic harmony between the Muslim Dayak and Banjar communities in South Kalimantan through Islamic education. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, the research relies primarily on document analysis, supported by limited informal interviews. The data reveal that Muhammadiyah employs da’wah bil hal -a practical and socially responsive approach- as a key strategy to empower Dayak converts and promote social interaction with the Banjar community. Through inclusive educational programs and culturally sensitive outreach, Muhammadiyah has contributed to building intercultural dialogue, enhancing social solidarity, and supporting grassroots integration in a multiethnic society.

Abstract

Islamic religious education in Madrasah Aliyah plays an important role in shaping students' understanding of Islamic law, including the material of Mawaris. However, Mawaris learning is often considered difficult because of its theoretical nature and the lack of an applicable approach. This study aims to develop a Mawaris material module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) that can be used as a learning medium in Madrasah Aliyah. This module is designed to improve students' understanding of the Mawaris concept through an approach that focuses on problem solving. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the study indicate that MAN 1 Nagan Raya needs a Mawaris learning module based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to improve the quality of learning. The needs analysis revealed that the school does not yet have an interactive and relevant module, so learning tends to be theoretical. Teachers feel that PBL-based modules are very necessary to deliver material effectively and applicable, while students want a more practical approach to facilitate understanding. PBL-based modules are expected to be able to connect theory with real-life practices, improve critical thinking skills, and help students understand the concept of inheritance law better.

Abstract

The application of the Active Learning "Team Quiz" method in increasing students' learning motivation and disciplinary character in Islamic Religious Education and Character lessons in class VII.4 at SMP Negeri 1 Barebbo is the focus of the research. This research aims to increase learning motivation and disciplinary character by using the Active Learning "Team Quiz" method. This research uses the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK) and is carried out in two cycles. Cycle I was held on 15 November 2024 and cycle II on 23 November 2024 at SMP Negeri 1 Barebbo which is located in Apala Village, Barebbo District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The research subjects were 27 students in class VII.4 consisting of 12 female students and 15 male students. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The resulting data was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results obtained show an increase in students' learning motivation and disciplinary character after implementing the "Team Quiz" active learning method in PAI learning both in cycle I and cycle II. Indicators of increasing motivation to learn are feelings of joy/focus in learning and student participation in discussions, while indicators of disciplinary character are punctuality in entering learning and neatness and modesty in dress which reached up to 92.58%. Therefore, it can be concluded that students' learning motivation and disciplinary character by applying the "Team Quiz" active learning method in Islamic Religious Education and Character learning in class VII.4 SMPN 1 Barebbo has increased.

Abstract

Education plays a vital role in shaping students’ character and moral values, particularly through the Aqidah Akhlak subject, which focuses on instilling Islamic teachings. This study aims to examine the influence of learning motivation, learning creativity, and teacher competence on students’ academic achievement at MTsN 4 Surabaya City. This research uses a quantitative method with a survey approach, and the instrument used is a questionnaire.The population consisted of 723 students, with a sample of 173 eighth-grade students selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The findings reveal that learning motivation, learning creativity, and teacher competence each have a positive and significant impact on students’ achievement in Aqidah Akhlak. Learning motivation and creativity contribute to enhancing students’ understanding, while teacher competence plays an important role in creating a conducive learning environment. Based on these results, it is recommended that teachers continue to develop their competencies and implement innovative and interactive teaching methods to foster student motivation. Schools are also encouraged to support teacher quality improvement and provide facilities that stimulate students’ creativity and learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of AI use in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. This research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection procedures used observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis procedures involved data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that the use of AI in PAI learning at SMAN 1 Gedeg has brought significant changes for both teachers and students. The main findings show that AI accelerates the creation of teaching materials, expands references, supports independent learning, and increases efficiency and interactivity in assignments and evaluations. The presence of AI also boosts students' confidence in seeking new knowledge and encourages them to explore information beyond conventional teaching materials. The adaptive and contextual use of AI has been proven to be adjustable to learning needs, although the role of the teacher remains crucial as a validator and gatekeeper of material, especially to maintain the authenticity of knowledge delivery in accordance with Islamic tradition. However, this study also identified several weaknesses, such as limited data on Quranic verses and hadith, difficulty in understanding complex religious concepts, and the potential for student dependence on AI, which can reduce critical thinking skills, self-reliance, and interest in reading. Additionally, there is a risk of decreased learning motivation and misuse of AI outside of the educational context. Other weaknesses noted include limited internet access and the need for supervision to ensure that information from AI remains aligned with Islamic values and appropriate religious education practices.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of parental attention towards pai academic achievement of grade xi students of sman 1 sabang. Religious education, especially Islamic Religious Education (PAI), plays an important role in the formation of students' character and personality. However, parental attention to children's religious education is often less than optimal due to busyness, changes in lifestyle and the influence of technology. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational method. The sample of the study was 68 grade XI students of SMAN 1 Sabang, with a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire and documentation of PAI subject PTS scores. The results showed that the contribution of parental attention had a positive and significant impact on PAI academic achievement of grade X1 students of SMAN 1 Sabang, with a correlation coefficient value of 0.768 and r table of 0.201. Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, because r count > r table with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the more attention parents give their children, the more positive the impact on their academic achievement in Islamic religious education. Conversely, the less parental attention a child receives, the lower their academic achievement in Islamic religious education.

Abstract

This research was carried out with the aim of describing and analyzing the role, process and results of instilling religious motherhood attitudes by PAI teachers in students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kutorejo. This research applies qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of the study were PAI teachers and students of Muhammadiyah 3 Kutorejo Junior High School. Data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collection technique goes through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that: First, the role of PAI teachers in instilling religious moderation attitudes in students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kutorejo is as: educators, supervisors, role models. The second process of cultivating religious moderation attitudes at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kutorejo is through: PAI learning materials on moderate attitudes, morning habit of Dhuha prayers and reading short letters, Sunday Morning Public Recitation (PUAP), Gemajusa/BTQ, Darul Arqom. The three results of instilling a moderation attitude in students are: punctuality during worship, high social concern, growth of tolerance, and obedience and obedience to school regulations, accommodating to local culture.

Abstract

This study analyzes the development of religious education curricula in three educational settings in Indonesia: Islamic boarding schools, schools, and madrasahs. The curriculum is positioned as a strategic instrument in shaping students’ religious character and adaptive capacity in facing contemporary challenges. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature study to examine curriculum models, principles, and implementation strategies tailored to the characteristics of each institution. The findings indicate that Islamic boarding schools emphasize preserving classical Islamic scholarship, moral education, and spiritual formation. Schools integrate religious values into the national curriculum through modern pedagogical approaches, while madrasahs apply an integrated model that combines religious and general education with a greater focus on religious subjects. In addition, curriculum contextualization, digital integration, and the implementation of religious moderation values are identified as the main innovations and challenges. These results highlight that curriculum development in these three institutions significantly contributes to shaping a generation that is academically competent, morally grounded, and able to play a constructive role in society.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of Islamic educational values in the Naung Ri Ere tradition. The type of research used is qualitative research. The data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the Naung Ri Ere tradition is a customary ritual performed in the context of marriage. The process begins with the preparation of halasuji, which is decorated with young coconut leaves and filled with offerings. The halasuji is then placed on the riverbank while prayers are recited by a sanro (traditional healer or ritual leader). After that, the halasuji is released into the river along with a chicken as part of the ritual. Community members then compete to retrieve the contents of the halasuji that are floating on the water. The newlyweds are baptised with river water as a symbol of purification. This tradition ends with a prayer of blessing at the couple's home, together with their family and the sanro. The Naung Ri Ere tradition reflects the integration of Islamic educational values through faith, morals, and sharia law, which complement each other. From a faith perspective, it strengthens faith by fostering gratitude to Allah SWT, although it needs to be corrected from beliefs that could potentially contradict tawhid. in terms of morals, this tradition is a means of social education that strengthens friendship, mutual cooperation, and maintains harmony in the household and community; while in terms of sharia, it demonstrates a dialogue between custom and religion, where cultural elements that are in line with Islam can be maintained and those that are contradictory can be abandoned, thus creating harmony between Bugis local wisdom and Islamic values.
