Abstract

Hypertension is a degenerative disease that is often referred to as the silent killer because people with hypertension do not know if they have hypertension. The cause of hypertension in the elderly generally comes from the condition of the blood vessels. Hypertension is mostly suffered by the elderly age group because with age, the arteries will become harder and inelastic. There are many factors related to the incidence of hypertension, one of which is due to diet, diet is a way to regulate the type or amount of food in order to maintain health, nutritional needs and prevent disease. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between diet (sodium, fat and potassium) on the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. This study uses a cross-sectional research method, this research is a qualitative study whose data were obtained by using FFQ questionnaires and interviews. Respondents in the study amounted to 156 people aged over 60 years with hypertension who visited the Sukatani Health Center. This study showed that there was a significant relationship between sodium and fat consumption and the incidence of hypertension as indicated by p value = 0.009 for sodium consumption and p value = 0.018 for fat consumption, while there was no significant relationship between potassium consumption and the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. indicated by p value = 0.157 with an error rate of 5% or 0.05. Therefore, it is important for the elderly to maintain their diet to prevent the incidence of hypertension.

Abstract

Bioelectrochemical systems (BES) are an umbrella term for a family of technologies that have evolved from traditional electrochemical systems and in which the electrodic processes are related, either directly or indirectly, to the metabolic activity of particular microorganisms. Despite the fact that BES have not yet reached the commercial scale, these technologies show significant promise because they enable for the valorization of various liquid and gas waste streams. The potential of BES in waste management and valorization is investigated in this chapter. To be more precise, it examines the pragmatics of utilizing BES for energy valorization of wastewaters and CO rich streams. Here, BES is demonstrated to be competitive with standard wastewater treatment methods in terms of energy usage by making use of the energy content of certain compounds found in wastewater. Furthermore, it investigates the potential for BES to allow wastewater treatment plants to be used as a load regulation mechanism for electrical grids. Some of the ways in which BES can help the energy-intensive fertilizers business save money include explaining how it can be used to extract fertilizers from trash. Abstract

The use of language by children born in the 90s to 2000s seems to have led to a shift towards modernism. In recent years, a new trend has emerged for the "Jaksel" language. This language has become a trend lately, and when someone finds someone using English and Indonesian combined, it is considered the language of "South Jakarta" ("Jaksel"). This study has the aim of looking at the motives and meanings of the use of the "Jaksel" language among students who use the "Jaksel" language in their daily lives. The research method used by the researcher is qualitative research with phenomenological studies and also uses Alfred Shcutz's phenomenological theory, because the researchers want to see the phenomena resulting from the communication experiences of the respondents so that the motives and meanings of respondents using the "Jaksel" language in their daily lives can be known. This study has the result that the motives for the respondents to use the "Jaksel" language include difficulty in finding the appropriate equivalent, work needs, habits since childhood. The purpose motive (in-order-to motive) is to find the appropriate equivalent, validation of language skills, To educate and familiarize the family with English. The meaning of the use of the "Jaksel" language as a language that can help in interacting and interpreting that interaction using the "Jaksel" language at this time is something common and is not something new to the public, especially the Jakarta area and its surroundings.

Abstract

This study aims to develop scrapbook learning media in writing procedure text materials for students. class XI SMK Negeri 1 Kersana. The type of research conducted is the type of research and development (R&D). The stages carried out to examine the type of Research and Development (R&D) research include 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, and 5) design revision. The samples of this study were students of class XI Welding Engineering (Welding), XI Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR), and XI Multimedia. The total number of students sampled by the researcher was 87 students. Data collection techniques in this study include; observation, interview, questionnaire (questionnaire), and documentation. The results of the validation of this study, namely the aspect of content which consists of seven components is appropriate. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the total score obtained, namely 87.21, the presentation feasibility aspect consisting of three components is appropriate. This is evidenced by the total score obtained, namely 91.25, the linguistic aspect consisting of two components is appropriate. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the total value obtained, which is 93.5, the graphic aspect which consists of five components is appropriate. This is evidenced by the total score obtained is 89, that the total score for Scrapbook learning media for procedural text writing skills in class XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Kersana is 360.96. Thus, this learning media is declared suitable for use with revision.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of cartoon puppet learning media on short story writing skills (short stories). Used in this study is the experimental method. The subject matter used in the research is the material for writing short stories (short stories). This study was analyzed by using the hypothesis test paired sample t test and independent sample t test. The results obtained from the paired sample t test Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The calculated t value is 15,783 and the t table value is 2,086. This shows that the value of t count 10,883 > t table 2,086. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average value between the results of the pretest and the average value of the posttest results in the experimental class. This proves that there is a significant influence from the use of cartoon puppet learning media on the short story writing skills of students in class XI SMK Negeri 1 Kersana. The results obtained from the independent sample t test test the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The calculated t value is 16,900 and the t table value is 2,021. This shows that the t arithmetic value is 16.900 > t table 2.021. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average value between the posttest results of the experimental class (using cartoon puppet media) and the average value of the control class posttest results (not using cartoon puppet media). This proves that there is a significant influence from the use of cartoon puppet learning media on the short story writing skills of students in class XI SMK Negeri 1 Kersana. Descriptively, there is a difference in the average posttest score for short story writing skills in the experimental class (using cartoon puppet media) with the average posttest score for the control class short story writing skill (not using cartoon puppet media). This is indicated by the average value of the posttest results of the experimental class which is higher than the average value of the posttest results of the control class. The average value of the control class posttest results is 65.24; while the average value of the posttest results of the experimental class is 87.86.

Abstract

Gender Equality in the field of Legislative Representation is a discussion that still has gender gap problems in it. This research discusses the lack of women's participation in the legislative institutions of Karawang Regency, there is no movement of women's legislatures in women's rights and problems, community culture that still hinders the creation of equality for women. in the legislative field, then the role of the government and the problem of gaps in the quota of seats in the legislature by looking at the Gender Mainstreaming (PUG) program. So that it aims to find out the results of these problems and the solutions that need to be confirmed by the Harvard Gender Analysis method. This research uses descriptive qualitative method prioritizing secondary data with literature study techniques.

Abstract

This research departs from the curiosity to measure and find out the effectiveness of learning strategies in teaching al-Qur'an learning materials in improving the ability to read the Qur'an by conducting experimental research with strategies that have never been carried out before in the research place, namely the card sort learning strategy. to children at the Sidomulyo TPA, Palangka Raya. The research used a quantitative method research approach, with the type of research design being a one-group pretest-posttest design by conducting pretest and posttest. The population used is all students at TPA Sidomulyo with the type of sample being total sampling. Data collection techniques used pretest and posttest and data analysis techniques were tested with normality test, paired sample test. The results showed that (1) the use of card sort learning strategies can make the classroom atmosphere more active than passive, not monotonous and make children remember the learning materials that have been explained. (2) The significance value of 0.200 > 0.05 has been obtained. So it can be concluded that the residual value is normally distributed. Furthermore, the data is tested and the results obtained from the paired sample test are 0.00 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant effectiveness of using the card sort learning strategy in improving the ability to read the Qur'an.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of using the PAI-PTU e-module for independent learning for students of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Nahdlatul Ulama University, Lampung. The research method used is a quasi-experimental, this research is classified as pre-experimental research. One group pretest and posttest to see the improvement of student learning outcomes before and after using PAI-PTU e-module learning materials as independent learning materials. The sample in this study were 100 students obtained by random sampling. The result of this study is the use of the PAI-PTU e module as an independent learning material can be seen from the results of the paried t-test, based on the results of the paired t-test, the 2-tailed significance is 0.000 < 0.05, because the 2-tailed significance result is smaller. of 0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the results of the pretest and posttest of the use of the pai-ptu e-module at Nahdlatul Ulama University Lampung. Next for the t-count value is 13,554, then for the t table with df 99 it is 1,984. Then it can be seen that the t count is 13,554 > 1,984 t table, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference from the pretest results before using the pai-ptu e-module learning material with the posttest results after using the pai-ptu e-module.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the cognitive improvement of children through environmental media at Tk Kristen Melati Makariki, Amahei District, Central Maluku Regency. This research uses the type of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Based on the results of research conducted at the Melati Makariki Christian Kindergarten, there were 29 children, using environmental media, it turned out that there was an increase in the mastery of using environmental media in improving children's thinking skills. In class learning activities with the knowledge that children have to distinguish stones through environmental media and can count well or clearly.

Abstract

Visual Media is a medium that has the main elements in the form of lines, shapes, colors, and textures in its delivery. The purpose of this study is to find out the Use of Visual Learning Media for Sociology Learning for Students with Intellectual Disabilities Class X at SLB Negeri Kota Ambon. The research method used is a method using qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used are the results of observations and interviews. visual learning on the learning outcomes of class X students with intellectual disabilities, the level of inter-achievement influence was 29.455% on the low criteria while the remaining 70.545% was in other factors. While the magnitude of the correlation coefficient or the closeness of the relationship is 54% on the medium criterion.
