Abstract

This study was motivated by the fact that mathematics learning in elementary schools is still largely procedural and memorization-oriented, causing students to struggle in understanding spatial concepts, particularly in the topic of cuboid nets. Spatial ability plays an essential role in supporting reasoning and geometric visualization. Integrating cultural contexts through ethnomathematics can serve as a solution to create meaningful and contextual learning. One relevant local culture is the traditional Engklek game, which contains geometric patterns, symmetry, and spatial movements related to the concept of cuboid nets. This study aimed to develop an ethnomathematics-based student worksheet integrating the Engklek game to improve elementary students’ spatial ability. The research employed the Design and Development method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results indicated that the developed worksheet was highly feasible and effective, achieving 90.8% from material and media experts and 95.8% from teaching practitioners. The Engklek-based worksheet effectively enhanced students’ spatial visualizationskills while fostering cultural awareness and appreciation of Indonesian heritage through meaningful and contextualized mathematics learning

Abstract

The Elementary School StudentsElementary school students are at an age with a very critical developmental phase so they can accept any values and behavior from the environment around them. Apart from that, the problem with children today is due to a lack of internal religious values schools, many of which do not practice moral and religious values good (Raharja & Nurachadija, 2023). Therefore, religious and moral education is a strong foundation building a solid character foundation for the future(Aiena, 2023). This research aims to 1) analyze the religious character of Islamic boarding school students, 2) analyze character values in Islamic boarding school educational institutions, and 3) describe the results of implementing character values in Islamic boarding school institutions in schools. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with analytical techniques Miles & Huberman whichincludes 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation and 3) drawing Conclusion. The results of this research show that students at school can accept the teachings of religious character values applied by teachers. The hope is that over time, students' religious character will stick and develop as a foundation for students' character in the future

Abstract

Modern education often overemphasizes cognitive achievement, neglecting internal student factors crucial for holistic learning success. This study aims to deeply synthesize and analyze the synergistic role of spiritual intelligence and self-efficacy in enhancing the academic achievement of elementary school students. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, relevant articlesfrom databases such as Google Scholar and Garuda were identified and analyzed through a rigorous selection process to map the existing evidence. The synthesis results reveal three main findings: (1) Self-efficacy consistently proves to be a strong predictor of academic achievement, functioning as the "I can" belief that motivates students to strive and persist. (2) Spiritual intelligence positively influences achievement by providing the foundational "why" students should learn, fostering meaning, purpose, and intrinsic motivation. (3) A significant reciprocal relationship exists, where spiritual intelligence can be the foundation that strengthens the development of resilient self-efficacy. It is concluded that the combination of spiritual intelligence and self-efficacy creates an optimal internal psychological ecosystem for academic achievement. The implication of this finding is the urgent need for a shift towards a more holistic pedagogy in elementary schools, one that not only hones intellectual aspects but also consciously cultivates students' spiritual dimensions and self-beliefs to create a complete learning system

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social habits in developing social awareness in elementary school students as part of efforts to strengthen character education. The background of the study stems from the importance of instilling social values such as mutual assistance, mutual help, and cooperation as the foundation for character formation in students in the modern era that tends towardsindividualism. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational method involving 30 fifthgrade students at Cileungsir Public Elementary School, Petir District, Serang Regency. Data were collected through social habits questionnaires, social awareness questionnaires, and observations of student behavior during school activities. Data analysis was conducted using a Pearson correlation test to determine the relationship between social habits and levels of social awareness. The results showed a significant positive relationship between social habits and students' social awareness (r = 0.743; p < 0.05). This means that the more social habits students practice, the higher their level of social awareness. This finding confirms that instilling social values through mutual assistance, cooperation, and helping each other can strengthen students' empathy, sense of responsibility, and social participation. This study recommends that schools systematically integrate social habits through character education strengthening programs and school community involvement, thereby fostering a generation of students with character, caring, and contributing positively to their social environment.

Abstract

Character education is essential for building children's moral foundations early on, but existing research often focuses on policies, evaluations, or theories, overlooking teachers' everyday classroom practices in fostering values like honesty. This study fills that gap by exploring micro-level pedagogical strategies in daily civics (Pancasila) lessons at an Indonesian elementary school a rarely examinedpractical aspect. Employing a qualitative case study, the research at SDN 160 Sukalaksana, Bandung City, involved three teachers from grades 4-6. Data came from in-depth interviews, extended observations, and document reviews. Key findings highlight three approaches: (1) behavioral modeling, (2) integrating honesty dilemmas into lessons, and (3) habituation via moral reflection. Challengesinclude inconsistent home support and time limitations. This work offers novel insights into feasible "micro-pedagogies" for character education in real settings, emphasizing the need for school support and teacher training. It shows that effective honesty cultivation relies on teachers' consistent, smallscale efforts rather than broad programs alone.

Abstract

Bullying in elementary education poses a significant threat to student psychological well-being and academic safety, requiring urgent pedagogical solutions. This study aims to explore the strategic integration of the Islamic values of compassion (rahmah) and brotherhood (ukhuwah), derived specifically from Surah Al-Ma'un and Al-'Asr, to strengthen anti-bullying character education. Employing a qualitative case study design at SDIT Ibnu Majah in Bekasi. The data was collected through triangulated methods, including structured interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results reveal that thematically integrating these Qur'anic values highlighting the obligations to assist the vulnerable and the prohibition of belittling others was proven effective in significantly building students' emotional awareness and cultivating a profound sense of empathy. The study identified that key implementation strategies deliberately moved beyond traditional rote memorization, instead utilizing interactive storytelling and role-playing to foster a deep, practical internalization of social ethics. In sum, the research concludes that contextualizing religious values of compassion and brotherhood is essential for comprehensively strengthening anti-bullying character. By formulating standards of behavior through reference to spiritual principles, educators can establish a sustainable culture of mutual respect, suggesting that faith-based interventions offer a vital framework for mitigating interpersonal aggression and hostility among young learners.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of morning wake-up habits on student discipline at SDN Kareogenggong. Discipline, an essential component of character education, is reflected in punctuality, responsibility, and behavioral consistency. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 45 students through questionnaires, observations, and school records. The results show a strong and significant positive correlation between morning wake-up habits and key discipline indicators, including punctual arrival, task completion, and adherence to school rules (r = 0.779, p < 0.001). This study addresses an empirical gap by providing direct evidence that morning wake-up habits can serve as behavioral predictors of discipline—an area seldom explored in Indonesian elementary education. The findings suggest that structured morning routines at home and school may strengthen students’ character development and daily learning readiness
