Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital information has created a paradox within contemporary Islamic education. On one hand, social media serves as an effective medium for da'wah; on the other, it has become a channel for disseminating radical ideologies and religious disinformation that threaten the sustainability of religious moderation in Indonesia. This study aims to describe an integrative multidisciplinary strategic model for countering radicalism and disinformation on social media. Employing a qualitative approach with a multiple case study design, data were collected through social media content analysis, in-depth interviews with Islamic education teachers, and participatory observations conducted in several pesantren across East Java. Thematic analysis was carried out with the assistance of qualitative data analysis software. The findings reveal five central components: the anatomy of digital radicalism and disinformation; the Framework of Islamic Learning and Technology for Ethical Reasoning; the integration of technological, narrative, and operational dimensions; the development and contextual validation of the FILTER prototype model; and the recontextualization of Islamic epistemology in the digital era. First, the vulnerability of young generations to radical content is shaped by weak critical thinking skills and fragmented religious understanding. Second, the integration of hadith studies, ushul fiqh, cognitive psychology, and digital communication proves effective in strengthening ideological resilience. Third, the FILTER model demonstrates its potential to enhance students’ ability to identify and reject problematic content during limited trials. Therefore, these findings affirm that multidisciplinary digital literacy strategies not only enhance learners’ technological competence but also reinforce ideological immunity against the growing waves of radicalism and disinformation. The implementation of the FILTER model further represents a new form of digital sanad an adaptive knowledge chain responsive to contemporary scholarly dynamics and technological developments.

Abstract

Numerous institutions, each with unique traits, power dynamics, and political stances, have contributed to the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. Qur'anic Learning Centers (Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an/TPQ), Islamic Elementary Schools (Madrasah Diniyah/Madin), Pesantren, Madrasah, and Islamic Higher Education Institutions (Perguruan Tinggi Agama Islam/PTAI) are the five categories of Islamic educational institutions in which this study seeks to characterize the politics of education and institutional differentiation. This study investigates how differences in institutional structures are created by political configurations and how they, in turn, affect the quality and accessibility of Islamic education through a methodical literature review of laws, regulations, and socio-political dynamics. The results show that, in terms of institutional standing, societal legitimacy, state regulation, curriculum autonomy, and finance sources, the five institutions hold distinct positions along a continuum. Madin and TPQ have a great deal of autonomy but little assistance from the government. Pesantren's dual model (salafiyah–khalafiyah) places them in an intermediate position. In the meantime, Madrasah and PTAI are subject to more stringent regulations and are completely integrated into the national education system. Decentralization, bureaucratization, and digital transformation exacerbate the problems of resource inequality and quality discrepancies among institutions. The concept of differentiated governance within Islamic education, the identification of a bureaucratization paradox that may limit institutional innovation, and a mapping of state-civil society organizational relations that is specifically embedded in the Indonesian Islamic education context are the three main theoretical contributions made by this study. To improve the standard and equity of Islamic education, the report suggests more flexible, inclusive, and cooperative policies engaging local communities, civil society organizations, and the government.

Abstract

This is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) aimed at enhancing the speaking skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri Satu Atap 3 Dusun Hilir through the implementation of the Role Play method. The background of the study is based on the students' low speaking abilities, which are evident from their shyness, lack of self-confidence, flat intonation, unclear pronunciation, and limited vocabulary. Initial observations revealed that only 25% of the students met the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 70, with an average score of 64.63. This situation indicates the necessity for the application of active learning strategies that provide students with opportunities to practice speaking in a pleasant environment. The study is a PTK study that is carried out in two phases and uses the Kemmis and McTaggart design models, conducted over two cycles. Each cycle includes stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study consisted of eight students (5 males and 3 females). Data collection techniques involved observation, speaking ability tests, interviews, and photographic documentation. The assessment instruments covered six aspects: pronunciation, intonation, vocabulary, sentence structure, expression, and courage, with a scoring range of 1–4. Data analysis was performed using both quantitative and qualitative descriptive approach-es, with validity tested through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the Role Play method is effective in improving students' speaking abilities. The average score increased from 64.63 (pre-cycle) to 70.63 (cycle I) and 77.38 (cycle II). The percentage of learning completeness also rose from 25% to 62.5%, and then further increased to 87.5%. Qualitatively, students became more courageous, confident, expressive, and capable of using good intonation and pronunciation. Learning activities became more vibrant, collaborative, and aligned with the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile.  Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Role Play method is a strategic approach to enhance students' speaking skills.

Abstract

Supreme Court Regulation (PERMA) Number 1 of 2019 regulates the mechanism of electronic administration and trials, including provisions regarding electronic summons as stated in Article 18. However, the phrases “valid” and “appropriate,” which are requirements for the validity of electronic summonses, do not yet have clear conceptual boundaries, giving rise to potential differences in interpretation and legal uncertainty in judicial practice. This study aims to analyze the meaning and normative limitations of the terms “valid” and “appropriate” in the context of electronic summons by reviewing the construction of regulations, doctrines, judicial principles, and their application in court. Using a normative juridical method through a regulatory, conceptual, and case-based approach, this study finds that the validity of electronic summons must be understood as the fulfillment of formal procedures and authentication of the identity of the summoned party, while appropriateness relates to the accuracy of the electronic address, the deadline for delivery, and the accessibility of information by the party concerned. From the perspective of the principle of legal certainty, a clear interpretation of these two terms is an important prerequisite for ensuring the protection of the rights of the parties and preventing procedural disputes in the electronic trial process. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate more detailed guidelines so that the implementation of electronic summons meets the standards of legal certainty, effectiveness, and fairness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of students' ability to solve group material problems based on APOS theory reviewed from differences in mathematical ability. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach that focuses on revealing students' thinking processes in understanding abstract algebraic concepts. The research subjects consisted of three students who were purposively selected based on the results of the mathematical ability test, namely students with high, medium, and low mathematical ability. The research instruments include mathematical ability tests, group material problem solving tests designed according to the stages of APOS theory, and semistructured interview guidelines. Data is analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing by referring to the indicators of each stage of APOS, namely action, process, object, and schema. The results of the study show that students with high mathematical ability are able to fulfill all stages of APOS completely and consistently. Medium-skilled students are able to reach the action, process, and object stages, but have not fully reached the schema stage. Meanwhile, low-skilled students are only able to perform part of the action stage and experience difficulties at the process, object, and schema stages. These findings show that early mathematical ability has a significant effect on the construction of group concept comprehension. This study confirms that APOS theory is effectively used as an analytical framework to map students' conceptual understanding of abstract algebraic materials, especially group concepts, and provides important implications for the design of mathematics learning in higher education.

Abstract

The rise of bullying cases in primary education underscores the urgent need for effective character education media that are engaging, contextual, and value-oriented. In response, the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs has recently introduced the Kurikulum Cinta, which emphasizes compassion, empathy, inclusivity, and non-violence, particularly within Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. As a newly implemented curriculum, its practical application remains limited and underexplored, especially in terms of instructional media. This qualitative study investigates the use of P5P2RA-based digital comics as character education media to support the Kurikulum Cinta and prevent bullying in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The research involved teachers and students from three madrasahs in Madura, Indonesia. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis, and were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that P5P2RA-based digital comics effectively promote empathy, mutual respect, cooperation, and anti-bullying attitudes among students. The study highlights how narrative-based digital media can translate abstract curriculum values into meaningful learning experiences. This research contributes empirical evidence to support the implementation of the Kurikulum Cinta and enriches scholarly discourse on innovative character education practices in Islamic primary education.

Abstract

This study look into the revival of Palang Pintu tradition as a key cultural practice in Betawi Society, emphasizing on its role in maintaining local heritage and cultural identity in the face of modernizing problems. Palang Pintu, which is a traditional part of Betawi weddings, uses poetry, martial arts (Silat), and religious expression to represent hospitality, strength, and bargaining. However, the rapid growth of Jakarta's metropolitan culture has slowly pushed this practice to the edges, making people worry about how long it will last and how important it is in today's world. Qualitative research was used in this study. Ethnographic observation, interviews with cultural leaders, the arts, linguists, and Betawi society were all used in this study. The findings show that three interrelated strategies have been used to carry out revitalization: boosting cultural education in schools and community-based organizations; integrating Palang Pintu into the tourism and creative industries; and utilizing digital platforms to increase public exposure and facilitate intergenerational transmission. In addition to preserving Betawi cultural identity, these initiatives promote intercultural interaction and aid in the development of more inclusive cultural policies in Indonesia. This study confirms that Palang Pintu serves as a cultural symbol that strengthens social solidarity and collective memory among the Betawi people, going beyond a ritualistic display. The resurgence of this custom in contemporary times illustrates the resilience of local heritage amidst globalization, providing valuable insights for sustainable cultural preservation. To enhance scholarly debate on protecting intangible cultural assets in heterogeneous cultures, future study is advised to investigate revitalization approaches among various ethnic communities.
