Abstract

This community service program (PKM) was implemented in Jago Village, Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, which is known as one of the papaya producing areas. This village faces a major problem when the harvest season arrives, especially because many papayas that meet the standards are not export (grade Ab1 or local (grade Ab2), resulting in a pile of fruit that eventually rots and has the potential to pollute the environment. To overcome this problem while improving the village economy, the 2025 PKM DRTPM Kemenristek Grant fund together with the Nusantara Global Education Institute Campus supports the development of Papaya chip products in Jago Village, so that they can be marketed well and provide significant economic benefits. The methods used in this activity include Socialization, Training, and Evaluation. The results of this activity showed a positive response from the participants, but further assistance is needed to ensure more optimal results in the future.

Abstract

This community service program developed eco-trap innovation as a sustainable solution for mosquito vector control at SMA Negeri 3 Tahuna Barat. This initiative has addressed environmental health issues caused by mosquito breeding and the accumulation of plastic waste in the school environment. The implemented method combines a participatory educational approach with practical training in making mosquito traps from used plastic bottles. A total of 54 students participated in the program, which was conducted in September 2025. Evaluation using the pretest-posttest and Wilcoxon statistical analysis showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge (Z=-5.689, p=0.000) and attitude (Z=-4.534, p=0.000). This program not only succeeded in enhancing students’ capacity for environmentally friendly vector control but also instilled the principles of a circular economy through the use of recycled materials. The results of the activity demonstrate the effectiveness of participatory environmental education in building ecological awareness while supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals in health and education.

Abstract

The main challenge identified during the community service program was the limited experience of vocational teachers in effectively utilizing the available concrete design laboratory equipment at the school. This limitation has hindered the effective delivery of practical learning in concrete design, resulting in suboptimal skill development among students and reduced alignment with industry standards. This community service program contributed to enhancing vocational teachers’ competence in applying SNI 03-2834-2000 through hands-on training and mentoring on the effective use of concrete design laboratory equipment in SMKN 2 Medan. The community service program was conducted through several stages, including field needs analysis, development of a technical guidance manual, initial socialization, mentoring sessions, and evaluation of the resulting concrete design projects. The results of the community service program showed that the training participants successfully understood the steps of concrete design in accordance with the established standards, as evidenced by an evaluation involving 22 participants which indicated an average achievement score of 89% across the aspects of ease of use, usefulness, attractiveness, and satisfaction. In conclusion, the program effectively strengthened vocational teachers’ competence in concrete design based on SNI 03-2834-2000, and its implementation model can be replicated in other vocational schools to enhance the quality of practical construction learning.

Abstract

MSMEs represent a strategic sector in the national economy, contributing approximately 60% to the GDP and absorbing more than 97% of the workforce. However, most MSMEs face serious challenges in financial management, such as the absence of a structured bookkeeping system, low accounting literacy, and minimal internal control. This community service initiative aims to enhance the understanding, skills, and practices of audit-based bookkeeping among MSMEs affiliated with ASPIKMAS in Banyumas Regency. The implementation methods include outreach, training, mentoring, and participatory evaluation, involving lecturers and students as facilitators. The results show that MSME partners participated enthusiastically in the program, with the main challenges identified as limited access to capital, weak financial record-keeping, and suboptimal digital marketing strategies. The implementation of automated Excel templates, mobile-based financial recording applications, and education on basic internal auditing emerged as practical solutions tailored to the partners’ needs. This program contributes to improving financial literacy, strengthening competitiveness, and promoting more transparent and sustainable business practices.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in the economic growth of Padang City, particularly in the handicraft sector, which represents both cultural identity and a vital source of local economic activity. However, technological limitations and low production efficiency remain major obstacles to improving the competitiveness of local crafts in the global market. This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to integrate 3D printing technology with conventional production methods as an effort to enhance product quality, efficiency, and design innovation. The implementation method includes identifying the potential and challenges faced by artisans, conducting training on the use of 3D printing, and providing mentoring in the design and production processes. This approach combines the artistic touch and craftsmanship of conventional manual techniques with the precision and speed of digital technology. The results show an improvement in artisans’ ability to utilize digital technology for prototyping and developing new designs that are more responsive to market trends. Furthermore, the training and equipment facilitation support continuous knowledge transfer, strengthening the innovation capacity and independence of MSMEs. The combination of traditional skills and modern technology not only produces products with high aesthetic value but also opens opportunities for market expansion and increased economic value. Therefore, the application of 3D printing has proven to be an effective innovative solution for enhancing the competitiveness and sustainability of the local handicraft sector in the era of the digital creative industry.

Abstract

The high national prevalence of early marriage in Indonesia, affecting 5.90% of women aged 20-24 who were married before 18, and particularly 8.45% in South Sumatra, poses a significant risk to adolescent physical and mental well-being. Early marriage often leads to severe health consequences like high maternal and infant mortality rates, preeclampsia, and anemia due to an immature reproductive system. The current minimum marriage age is 19 years for both genders as regulated by Law Number 16/2019. This community service aimed to address the lack of knowledge among adolescents on this critical issue. The activity at Junior High School 23 Palembang utilized the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, focusing on legal counseling and interactive discussions for ninth-grade students. The core material covered legal provisions, social, mental, and reproductive health impacts, and the roles of parents and schools. A key finding was the significant improvement in student understanding, as evidenced by the evaluation: the average score increased from 56.25 on the pre-test to 90.82 on the post-test, an increase of 34.58 points. This result confirms the effectiveness of the legal counseling in enhancing students' legal knowledge and fostering a positive attitude to reject early marriage and act as agents of change.

Abstract

Sumbawa cattle play an important role in meeting the needs of local, regional, and national markets. However, the increase in demand has not been balanced with the quality of livestock, management skills, distribution network, and the fulfillment of meat quality standards according to SNI 3932-2008. Farmers still depend on wild feed whose nutrients do not support productivity, thus having an impact on health, fattening, and economic stagnation of livestock groups. This activity aims to identify problems, empower farmers, and formulate training strategies to improve independence and welfare. The output produced is in the form of a manual for processing silage and ammonia feed, utilizing traditional feed ingredients that are abundant during the rainy season and can be stored for 6-12 months. Feed fermentation technology training is expected to be able to increase productivity up to 1.5–2 times compared to before. In addition, the formation of livestock business groups with a good management system is carried out through socialization and workshops related to business management, product packaging, and selling price determination. The program is carried out through three stages: (1) preparation in the form of problem identification, coordination, and socialization with partners of the Keban Jamu Hamlet Hamiri Breeder Group; (2) implementation in the form of socialization, planting grass feed banks, as well as fermented feed training and business management; (3) monitoring and evaluation to assess the improvement of knowledge, skills, and marketing capabilities oriented to long-term livestock growth.
