Indonesian Journal of Society Engagement (IJSE) merupakan jurnal tahunan yang membahas praktik dan proses keterlibatan masyarakat. Jurnal ini terbit tiga kali setahun (April, Agustus, dan Desember). Untuk itu kami menyediakan forum bagi para akademisi, praktisi, dan perwakilan masyarakat untuk mengeksplorasi isu-isu dan merefleksikan praktik-praktik yang berkaitan dengan rangkaian penuh aktivitas masyarakat yang diikutsertakan. Jurnal ini merupakan online peer-review yang didedikasikan untuk publikasi penelitian berkualitas yang berfokus pada penelitian, implementasi, kebijakan tentang keterlibatan masyarakat. Kami berharap jurnal ini dapat menyebarkan isu-isu pelibatan masyarakat di seluruh Indonesia. Indonesian Journal of Society Engagement diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Kajian Demokrasi dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (LKD-PM). Jurnal ini memberikan kesempatan untuk berbagi wawasan terperinci dari berbagai pemahaman dan praktik yang terkait dengan layanan masyarakat. Keterlibatan Masyarakat berarti pengembangan masyarakat, layanan masyarakat, pemberdayaan masyarakat, penjangkauan masyarakat, dan penelitian tindakan. Abstract

The use of technology in education is a necessity that cannot be avoided. Information technology-based learning such as presentations using Microsoft Power Point is an interesting process for students. Teaching materials/materials delivered using Microsoft power point can help students understand the material being taught. Generation Z as a generation that is already familiar with technological advances, of course, is also familiar with this technology. This affects their learning process. Visual learning style by relying on visual acuity is a mainstay for generation Z in the learning process. Attractive media and teaching materials will help them understand the material being studied. High school students BP FAI UMJ Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) "Ki Bagus Hadikusumo" are included in generation Z who like visual learning styles. Therefore, the teaching staff of SMA BP FAI UMJ Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) "Ki Bagus Hadikusumo" needs to deepen the use of attractive learning media in delivering material so that students more easily understand the subject. In this mentoring activity, it is expected that the teaching staff can explore the features in Microsoft Power Point so that they can create attractive teaching materials that can be implemented in the teaching and learning process in class or online.

Abstract

Community service activities. Scientific Manuscript Writing Training Journal of Educational Research at SMP Negeri 17 Tangerang Selatan aims to help elementary/junior/junior high school teachers in South Tangerang City in writing scientific manuscripts that will be published in ISSN journals. The training method is carried out using the method of mentoring, discussion, workshops and technical guidance (bimtek) of writing scientific manuscripts in accordance with journal manuscript standards. The results of the training were obtained as many as 11 elementary school teacher manuscripts (73%) and 4 junior high school teacher manuscripts (27%) published in the INVESTIGATION journal of SMP Negeri 17 Tangerang Selatan Volume 2 Number 2 Month September 2021 - December 2022. Publishing teacher scientific manuscripts in the INVESTIGATION journal is certainly very important. assisting teachers in fulfilling their obligations to journalize their scientific texts, so that they are not constrained in promotion of class or position. The targeted output in this community service activity is the publication of the results of community service activities in national scientific journals with ISSN.

Abstract

A large population is an asset for a nation in improving its quality of life. However, the rate of population growth that is not matched by increases in other fields, such as the economy and other fields, results in the narrowing of employment opportunities which in turn will increase the number of unemployed. In connection with the narrowness of employment opportunities and the large number of unemployed, one of the solutions offered is to provide materials, motivation and skills to high school students. The young generation since school was given lessons, skills about entrepreneurship so that when they graduate from school, they will not only think about applying for jobs or working for other people or companies, but also thinking about how to create jobs. The method used in this Community Service is to provide knowledge, share experiences and provide motivation about entrepreneurship. To increase the life skills of SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Ciputat students, during this PKM activity, the practice of making food that is easy, tastes good and is liked by many people is also carried out. In addition, they are also taught how to properly package food, in order to increase the selling value of the food. This activity is carried out in accordance with health protocols. The results of this Community Service activity showed increased knowledge, insight, motivation experience of SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Ciputat students. In addition, it was seen that was enthusiasm from SMA Muhammadiyah 8 Ciputat students to practice making food that had been taught.

Abstract

Time management is one of the important skills for housewives, it is even one of the keys to success in running a business. Housewives are the first educators in the family. The education provided by parents, especially mothers, is the core and foundation of overall education before taking formal education or living in society. For this reason, a mother figure is needed who can devote her time to her family, and we will see this more often in the figure of a housewife. Being a housewife and taking care of a business will also be very complicated. However, with good time management all these things can be done. Time management is a way that we can do to balance our time for study or work activities, have fun, and rest effectively. We are given the same time by God which is 24 hours. However, there are some people who are successful in dividing their time there are some who are not successful in dividing their time. The main purpose of dividing time is to be able to do things effectively and efficiently. The problem with mothers is that they actually don't like being targeted, but they themselves are targeting themselves. Therefore it needs to be managed efficiently. Effective time management can help do important things in every working hour. In it every individual or leader can use their time well, delegate tasks, organize work, plan the time for meetings (meetings), carry out effective mental and physical rehabilitation after doing heavy work and experiencing heavy pressure. These are some of the main tasks, which can be carried out well. The location of this service is in the cassava chip business, Mrs. Imah Rosyidah, in the Pengsinan Village of Gunung Sindur, Bogor. The purpose of this service is to provide assistance to employees because most of them consist of housewives so that they can manage their time well. The results of this service can be concluded that managing time is very important and needs to be managed properly so that their activities can be organized and do their work optimally.

Abstract

Since the outbreak of the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic that occurred both domestically and abroad, almost all snack food business sectors have experienced a slump. One of the businesses that is still able to survive the pandemic is the cassava chips business. Because the cassava chip business is growing day by day, it is increasingly able to adapt to the development of current tastes and trends. The flavors given by the typical cassava chips include savory and crunchy. The cassava chip business is included in the micro, small and medium enterprises during the pandemic and is currently experiencing a very significant decline. In this case, business actors operating on a medium-low scale, namely the cassava chips business run by Mrs. Imah, having her address at Pengsinan Gunung Sindur Village, Bogor, have experienced a 50% decrease in sales from the previous one. For this reason, in order to keep attracting consumers, creativity and innovation are needed in developing cassava chips business products. Community service carried out by Pamulang University Lecturers has the aim of providing assistance and assistance to micro, small and medium business actors how to create innovation and creativity from the cassava chip product. The method used in this community service is by way of observation, namely observing and direct surveys to the field. From the results of the survey, it can be concluded that this business is not supported by local government agencies, especially the cooperatives and banking services, because the capital factor is also very important for the sustainability of the business going forward. In addition, innovation and creativity factors also need to be improved continuously so that they are not abandoned by consumers. Some of these obstacles need to be given attention because they have an important role for the development of the snack food industry.

Abstract

The development of the advertising world at this time is increasingly rapid and supported by the growth of print media and the number of television stations (electronic media) which continues to increase, making companies have to be selective in making advertisements to support their sales. Appropriate and efficient marketing and promotion strategies are needed to build a brand image so that the products offered are embedded in the minds of consumers. To see the relationship between advertising and the brand image of the Cassava Chips Production Center with purchasing decisions, the research will be conducted in Gunung Sindur, Bogor, a business owned by Mrs. Imah Rosyidah. The selection of the object of research on Mrs. Imah's Cassava Chips in Gunung Sindur was due to the growing interest in cassava chips in the Gunung Sindur area and its surroundings. The Cassava Chips Production Center, Ibu Imah, is a mini-business that sells various flavors of cassava chips. Consumers who will become customers of this production certainly need comfort. Consumer purchasing decisions to buy cassava chips that they want to consume, when they have a tendency to like both the endorser model and the functions and benefits of the cassava chips themselves. The cassava chips advertisement is one of the advertisements that is planned to be displayed in both print and electronic mass media. Usually, the product advertisement displays an influential figure (Influencer) which aims to attract consumers, especially teenagers. In this advertisement, how to show the unique taste of cassava chips found in all consumers.

Abstract

The main problem, which is commonly faced is the concerns in running an entrepreneur and the lack of leadership spirit that grows in the student environment. We try to motivate and provide counseling that the spirit of leadership needs to be grown and nurtured early on, especially in entrepreneurship.  Let us not be afraid to start but seize the opportunities that exist accompanied by strong intentions. Strong desire can be the driving force of our start in entrepreneurship Is expected by providing counseling to improve the Spirit of Leadership of Muhammadiyah 8 High School students. Ciputat in the management of entrepreneurship planning can foster the spirit of leadership as well as this becomes the expected external with the implementation of this PkM.

Abstract

The main problem faced in implementing a good education pattern is digital development which is increasingly fast today and affects every line of life, including the world of education. Through community service activities carried out by lecturers of Pamulang University, the Management study program is expected to provide direct benefits to the community in the environment the Al-Mukhlishin Cares Community Foundation, Pesona Pamulang Housing, RT 002 RW 15, Pondok Petir Village, Bojongsari District, Depok, West Java 16517. The implementation of this community service activity is an effort to produce a smart and quality community through good parenting and education, through improving the quality of education because this is very much needed by a nation that wants to advance because quality education can support development in all fields.

Abstract

With regard to improving human resources, one of the parties who play an important role is the teacher. So that teachers can provide teaching in accordance with the development of the era that is developing rapidly as it is today, one of the solutions offered is to provide materials, motivation and experience to the teachers of the Al Mukhlisin Peduli Ummah Foundation. The method used in this Community Service is to provide knowledge, share experiences and provide motivation on how to improve the quality of teachers so that they can adapt to the rapid development of the times. So that what is taught by the teacher is more interesting and can improve the quality of the students he teaches. This activity is carried out while still complying with the Health protocol. The results of this Community Service activity show an increase in the knowledge, insight, motivation and experience of the teachers of the Al Mukhlisin Pndok Petir Depok Foundation. And will hold further cooperation in the field of Education to improve the quality of human resources.

Abstract

This service aims to provide training on Entrepreneurial Interests as an effort to increase family economic resilience after the Covid-19 period. Participants who took part in this PKM were members of the Sub-Branch Leadership (PAC) Gerakan Pemuda Ansor kec. Cipondoh, Tangerang. The method used is the method of Lectures, Discussions and Questions and Answers about the interests and efforts to improve the family's economy. The result is that the ability of quality soft skills is very much needed. These abilities include mindset, negotiation skills, and a positive attitude. This ability will be very useful in the world of work and in social interactions in general. Thus the interest in entrepreneurship as an effort to improve the family economy can be realized.
