Abstract

Boosting the village economy requires an approach that is both appropriate and aligned with the community's needs. One effective strategy is leveraging digital technology to promote local potential, disseminate information, and improve the management of village enterprises. This initiative involved creating a website specifically designed to foster economic growth while simultaneously enhancing residents' skills in using and managing digital technology. The project was carried out in several stages, ranging from assessing village needs, designing the website, and discussing business development to providing guidance on system usage. The results demonstrated that the website serves as an effective platform for showcasing the village's products, services, and potential to a wider audience. Furthermore, the initiative helped village officials become more proficient in managing content, updating information, and utilizing technology to support the growth of local businesses. With this website, the village not only gains a modern information platform but also takes a tangible step toward independently strengthening its economy. Ultimately, the success of this endeavor relies heavily on the human resources capable of effectively managing the technology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in financial distress prediction results using the Altman Z-Score, Springate, Zmijewski, and Grover models and to determine the most accurate model in predicting financial distress among pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-comparative design. Secondary data were obtained from the annual financial statements of 11 pharmaceutical companies selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 55 observations. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, the Kruskal–Wallis test, and accuracy testing by comparing prediction results with the actual financial condition of the companies. The results indicate a significant difference in financial distress predictions among the four models, as evidenced by the Kruskal–Wallis test with an Asymp. Sig. value of <0.001. Accuracy testing revealed that the Zmijewski model achieved the highest prediction accuracy (94.5%), followed by the Grover model (90.9%), Springate model (83.6%), and Altman Z-Score model (81.8%). The superior performance of the Zmijewski model is attributed to its emphasis on profitability, leverage, and liquidity ratios, which better represent the financial characteristics of pharmaceutical companies. Therefore, the Zmijewski model is recommended as the most appropriate financial distress prediction model for pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

The cell cycle is a biological process that regulates growth, genetic replication, and cell division in a coordinated manner to maintain tissue homeostasis. Regulation of this process depends on the integrated interactions between cyclin proteins (cyclins), cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors (CKIs), and various checkpoint proteins. Cyclin proteins function as master regulators, specifically activating CDKs at each phase of the cell cycle, ensuring the orderly transitions between G1, S, G2, and M phases. The activity of the cyclin-CDK complex is controlled through mechanisms of synthesis, degradation by the ubiquitin-proteasome system, and checkpoint surveillance, ensuring accurate DNA replication and cell division. Disruption of this system leads to uncontrolled cell proliferation, genomic instability, checkpoint failure, and an increased risk of various diseases, particularly cancer. In addition to its role in oncogenesis, dysregulation of cyclin proteins is also associated with cellular aging, impaired tissue regeneration, and several neurodegenerative diseases. Advances in molecular biology have made the cyclin-CDK pathway a key target for precision therapy, as evidenced by the successful development of CDK4/6 inhibitors in various cancers. This review article discusses the regulatory mechanisms of cyclin proteins in the cell cycle, their roles at each phase of cell division, the clinical implications of dysregulation, and the development of targeted therapies based on current scientific evidence.

Abstract

Economic empowerment of women micro-entrepreneurs in rural areas plays a crucial role in reducing poverty and improving family welfare. Sukarara Village, Central Lombok Regency, is famously known as a center for traditional songket weaving crafts driven predominantly by women. Despite its vast cultural and economic potential, women weavers still face classic structural challenges, including capital constraints, dependence on middlemen, low financial literacy, and sub-optimal access to digital markets. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to implement a Sharia Maqashid-Based Economic Empowerment Model to foster blessed and sustainable financial independence. The methodology employed encompasses baseline surveys, problem mapping, sharia business management training, digital marketing mentorship, and facilitating access to interest-free sharia microfinance. Program evaluation indicates an enhanced capacity of partners in financial bookkeeping, market expansion to outer regions through e-commerce, and the realization of a business ecosystem that safeguards spiritual values (hifdz ad-din), life (hifdz an-nafs), intellect (hifdz al-aql), lineage (hifdz an-nasl), and wealth (hifdz al-mal).

Abstract

This community service program designs a QR code-based information system to address efficiency and information gaps for MSMEs in Janapria Village, Central Lombok. According to 2025 BPS data, Janapria is the second-largest village but holds a Desa Mandiri status, lagging behind Lekor and Saba villages which are already Desa Maju. The primary issue is the lack of systematic data tracking for its significant potential in weaving crafts and grocery shops. Through a participatory approach socialized in September 2025, QR codes are implemented as a low-cost data tool rather than a payment instrument. This system connects entrepreneurs with the village government to eliminate repetitive manual data collection and open external information channels. The program serves as a replicable model to bridge economic potential with village development.

Abstract

Developing a halal ecosystem is a crucial strategy for strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs at the local level. This study aims to analyze how enhancing Sharia financial literacy and MSME digitalization supports the establishment of a halal ecosystem in Gunung Sari Village, Gunungsari District, West Lombok Regency. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews with MSME owners, village officials, and MSME facilitators, as well as document analysis. The findings indicate that while the majority of MSME owners understand the basic concepts of halal products, their Sharia financial literacy remains limited to basic aspects such as savings and simple financing. Digital technology adoption is also suboptimal, as some business owners still rely on conventional marketing methods. Efforts to strengthen the halal ecosystem include training on Sharia financial literacy, guidance on financial record-keeping, the adoption of digital payments, social media-based marketing, and assistance with halal certification. Synergy among the village government, Sharia financial institutions, academics, and business owners has proven to be a vital factor in accelerating the transformation of MSMEs toward a sustainable halal ecosystem.

Abstract

Humanitarian aid is one of the most critical components of disaster response. However, relief distribution during the emergency phase is frequently driven by donor availability rather than by the actual needs of affected communities. Consequently, while essential supplies such as food and drinking water are often adequately provided, personal necessities that directly influence dignity, hygiene, and daily living remain insufficient. Rapid Needs Assessment (RNA) is recommended as a systematic approach to identify priority needs and improve the effectiveness of humanitarian interventions. This community service program aimed to implement a Rapid Needs Assessment before humanitarian aid distribution for victims of the 2025 flash flood in Padang City, Indonesia. The program was conducted during the emergency response period following the flash flood on 26 November 2025. A collaborative team of university lecturers and members of the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) Padang Branch conducted field observations and semi-structured interviews with affected households at evacuation sites. Information on assistance already received and unmet priority needs was collected and used to guide the procurement and distribution of relief items. Most affected households had already received temporary shelter, food, and clean water. However, essential personal items—including towels, baby supplies, underwear, blankets, prayer equipment, umbrellas, and raincoats—remained insufficient. Implementing Rapid Needs Assessment enabled the humanitarian team to provide targeted assistance, complement existing relief efforts, minimize duplication, and address overlooked needs. Rapid Needs Assessment improved the relevance and effectiveness of humanitarian aid distribution. Collaboration between higher education institutions and professional organizations offers a practical model for evidence-based community service in disaster response.
