Abstract

Dissemination is an activity aimed at individuals and groups to raise their awareness of the importance of receiving, obtaining, and utilizing information. The Secretariat of the Pangandaran Regency Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD), as a supporting element of the legislative institution, plays a strategic role in disseminating information on regional policies to the public. This study aims to examine the role of the DPRD Secretariat in the dissemination of regional policies and their implementation in Pangandaran Regency. The method used was descriptive qualitative research, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation, as well as data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the role of the Pangandaran Regency DPRD Secretariat has been carried out across all dimensions, though not yet optimally. This is due to the lack of structured standard operating procedures (SOPs), insufficient human resources, the public’s limited understanding of legal policies, and unequal public access to available information channels. Despite facing various obstacles, the DPRD Secretariat continues to strive to improve policy dissemination. Therefore, thorough preparation is necessary, taking into account all indicators that may influence the success of regional policy dissemination.

Abstract

Indonesia's Islamic capital market has experienced remarkable progress over the past few years, evidenced by the growing participation of Sharia investors, the increasing variety of Sharia-based financial instruments, and the continuous implementation of literacy programs by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Despite these positive developments, the level of public knowledge, particularly among university students, has not advanced proportionally. Many students still face challenges in identifying and understanding Sharia-compliant companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Therefore, this study seeks to explore the extent of Islamic Economics students’ understanding of Sharia-compliant listed companies. This study adopted a qualitative research design using a case study approach. The participants were three sixth-semester students from the Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Studies, Al-Azhar Islamic University, selected through purposive sampling. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The analysis followed the interactive model developed by Miles and Huberman, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the participants generally possess adequate knowledge of the fundamental principles underlying Sharia-compliant companies and Islamic investment practices. Nevertheless, their understanding of more technical aspects, including the Sharia stock screening process, the Sharia Securities List (Daftar Efek Syariah/DES), and the criteria used to identify Sharia-compliant companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, remains relatively limited. Several factors were found to influence students’ level of understanding, such as academic exposure, availability of information, involvement in Islamic capital market literacy programs, and personal interest in investment activities. Based on these findings, the study highlights the need to strengthen Islamic capital market education through curriculum enhancement, practical investment training, and broader collaboration between universities and the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

Research on job characteristics within the perspective of Islamic Human Resource Management (IHRM) has gained increasing attention as organizations seek to integrate Islamic values into human resource practices. Nevertheless, comprehensive mapping of the intellectual development of this research area remains limited. This study aims to examine publication trends, knowledge structures, research themes, and future research directions concerning job characteristics in the context of IHRM through a bibliometric approach. The dataset was retrieved from the database using relevant keywords and analyzed with VOSviewer to construct co-occurrence, co-authorship, and citation networks. The findings reveal a substantial growth in publications over the past five years, highlighting major research themes including work motivation, employee engagement, job satisfaction, Islamic work ethics, Islamic leadership, and digital transformation. The analysis further identifies emerging research opportunities related to artificial intelligence integration, halal human resource development, and the incorporation of maqashid sharia into job design. These findings contribute to the enrichment of theoretical development while providing valuable insights for researchers and practitioners in formulating future research agendas and advancing sustainable Islamic Human Resource Management practices.

Abstract

The revitalization of indigenous institutions is a strategic approach to strengthening participatory village governance based on local wisdom. This study aims to analyze the revitalization of the Demong Adat's role in village governance in Kenyabur Village, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, and to examine its contribution to cultural preservation, conflict resolution, and collaboration between customary institutions and the village government. A qualitative approach employing an ethnographic method was adopted. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the Demong Adat, village officials, customary leaders, community leaders, and indigenous community members, as well as document analysis. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while credibility was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that the Demong Adat continues to possess strong social legitimacy as the guardian of customary values, mediator in conflict resolution, preserver of cultural identity, and strategic partner of the village government in deliberative decision-making. These roles contribute to social cohesion, greater community participation, and stronger village governance through the integration of indigenous values into formal administrative practices. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited leadership regeneration, weak coordination between customary institutions and the village government, and declining public confidence in the consistency of customary law enforcement. The study concludes that revitalizing the role of the Demong Adat is essential for promoting inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable village governance through institutional strengthening, transparent customary governance, leadership regeneration, and the integration of local wisdom into contemporary village administration.

Abstract

Managerial ownership is a condition when managers own company shares, so managers act as both managers and shareholders who actively participate in decision-making. Capital structure is the financial proportion of a company between capital sourced from long-term debt and equity, which serves as a source of financing for the company. Dividend Policy is the company's decision regarding whether the profits earned will be distributed to shareholders as dividends or retained as retained earnings to finance future investments. Investment opportunity set generally describes the extent of investment opportunities available to a company. This study aims to determine the effect of managerial ownership, capital structure, dividend policy, and investment opportunity set on firm value. The population of this study consists of pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2023, with a sample of 9 companies selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis method used is panel data regression analysis using Eviews 13. The research results show that capital structure, dividend policy, and investment opportunity set significantly positive affect the value of the company, while managerial ownership does not significantly affect the value of the company.

Abstract

The availability of clean water is a fundamental need for urban communities, which continues to increase with population growth. The Somba Opu V Water Treatment Plant (IPA) in Gowa Regency plays a vital role in supplying clean water to most areas of Makassar City, with a production capacity of 1,000 liters/second. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the use of coagulants in the clean water treatment process at the Somba Opu V IPA and to evaluate the impact of the 2004 Mount Bawakaraeng landslide on raw water quality. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach with time series and cross-sectional data analysis from laboratory test results. The results showed a drastic increase in raw water turbidity from an average of 45 NTU to 1,214 NTU after the landslide, with a peak turbidity reaching 217,000 NTU, which led to the shutdown of the IPA. Evaluation of coagulant effectiveness showed that the use of Alum and PAC resulted in excessive sludge and high operational costs, while Magnaflo LT27 and LT525 coagulants proved more effective at an affordable price and significantly reduced turbidity. This study concluded that water treatment effectiveness is highly dependent on selecting a coagulant that matches the turbidity characteristics of the raw water, and that treatment system development and infrastructure rehabilitation are necessary to improve the quality of the resulting clean water.

Abstract

Private label products have become an alternative offered by modern retailers because they are relatively more affordable while maintaining quality that can compete with national branded products. Consumers' purchasing decisions regarding private label products are influenced by several factors, including Advertising, Distribution Intensity, Price, Store Image, and Store Location. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of these five variables on purchasing decisions for private label products at Indomaret Fresh SPBU Sultan Agung Kedaton Bandar Lampung. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research sample consisted of 100 respondents who were consumers of private label products at Indomaret Fresh SPBU Sultan Agung Kedaton Bandar Lampung. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that Advertising, Distribution Intensity, Price, Store Image, and Store Location have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for private label products. Among these variables, Price was found to be the most dominant factor influencing consumers’ purchasing decisions. These findings suggest that improving advertising quality, ensuring product availability, setting appropriate prices, maintaining a positive store image, and selecting a strategic store location can significantly enhance consumers’ purchasing decisions toward private label products.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become one of the primary strategies for improving destination governance toward effective, transparent, and sustainable tourism management. One innovation increasingly adopted in tourism destinations is the implementation of an electronic ticketing (e-ticketing) system to replace conventional ticketing. The Narmada Cultural Heritage Site in West Lombok Regency is one of the major historical and cultural tourism destinations in West Nusa Tenggara Province, attracting a considerable number of domestic and international visitors. Prior to digital implementation, ticket management relied heavily on manual processes, resulting in limited real-time visitor data, inefficient reporting systems, and potential revenue leakage. This community service program aimed to strengthen the capacity of destination managers in implementing the Btix E-Ticketing system as a tool to support sustainable tourism governance. The implementation stages included field observation, needs assessment, preparation of implementation modules, socialization of the Btix application, operational simulation, operator mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation through observations and pre-test–post-test assessments. The results indicate that all operators were able to operate the Btix application independently. The implementation improved service efficiency, transaction transparency, real-time visitor monitoring, and automated revenue reporting. Furthermore, the e-ticketing system supports sustainable tourism principles by promoting digital administration, reducing paper consumption, and providing accurate visitor data for evidence-based destination management and decision-making.
