This study aims to determine the effect of reward and punishment on employee performance at the Fire and Rescue Department of Palopo City. Employee performance is a crucial factor in determining the effectiveness of public services, particularly in fire handling and rescue operations. Rewards as a form of appreciation and punishments as a form of sanction are expected to influence employees' work motivation and productivity. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 44 respondents selected incidentally. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS. The results show that both reward and punishment have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both simultaneously and partially. Thus, the appropriate implementation of rewards and punishments can improve employee performance in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.

The objectives of this study were: 1) to determine the effect of inflation and interest rates on stock prices in banking companies, 2) to determine the effect of interest rates on stock prices in banking companies, and 3) to determine the effect of interest rates on stock prices in banking companies. This study was conducted by collecting secondary data in the form of financial reports of banking companies, inflation data, and data on Bank Indonesia interest rates. The results of the study indicate that: 1) inflation does not significantly affect stock prices in banking companies. This is evidenced by the results of partial tests obtained a t-value of up to 0.559 < the t-table value of 1.968 and a significance of 0.577 > 0.05, 2) interest rates significantly affect stock prices in banking companies. This is evidenced by the results of partial tests obtained a t-value of 0.-1.997 < the t-table value of 1.968 and a significance of 0.047 > 0.05, and 3) inflation and interest rates do not significantly affect stock prices in banking companies. This is proven by a simultaneous test where the calculated f value is 2.013 which is greater than the f table value which is 3.04 and significant at 0.136 which is smaller than 0.05 with a percentage influence of 1.8%.

Peran Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Toraja Utara dalam Pengembangan Aktivitas Olahraga Sejak Usia Sekolah. Studi ini meneliti peran Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Kabupaten Toraja Utara dalam membina olahraga rekreasi dan mengembangkan atlet usia dini. Dispora berfungsi sebagai regulator dengan merumuskan kebijakan strategis untuk melestarikan budaya lokal melalui festival dan kompetisi seni; sebagai dinamizer dengan mendorong partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan olahraga dan budaya; sebagai fasilitator dengan memanfaatkan media sosial untuk mempromosikan budaya lokal; dan sebagai katalis dengan mempercepat pengembangan budaya melalui integrasi teknologi. Namun, penggunaan teknologi digital masih terbatas, sehingga diperlukan pengembangan lebih lanjut arsip digital, aplikasi interaktif, dan kolaborasi lintas sektor untuk program yang berkelanjutan. Pengembangan atlet usia dini membutuhkan pelatihan jangka panjang, bertahap, dan berkelanjutan selama 8–10 tahun untuk mencapai performa puncak. Pendekatan ini menekankan kesenangan anak, konsistensi, pelatihan sistematis dan terintegrasi, serta pengembangan bakat untuk mencapai kesuksesan regional, nasional, dan internasional. Temuan menunjukkan komitmen Diaspora terhadap pengembangan olahraga dan budaya, sekaligus menyoroti perlunya inovasi dan kolaborasi multi-sektor untuk memaksimalkan manfaat berkelanjutan.

Analysis of the Implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) in the PT. Berca Buana Sakti (Case Study Construction Project of 150 kV. Kolaka - Pomala Switching – Customer) The implementation and supervision of SMK3 referring to the PT. Berca Buana Sakti applicable legal system needs to be carried out as well as possible to provide safety assurance for workers and provide maximum benefits for construction actors and the environment so that the risk of accidents and work safety can be overcome, avoided, or minimized. Overall, efforts to improve the implementation of SMK3 in this project are not only focused on procedural aspects, but also on strengthening the safety culture at all levels of the organization, from top management to field workers. All of these improvement actions aim to create a safer, healthier, and more efficient work environment, as well as to minimize the risk of work accidents and occupational diseases that can occur during the 150 kV SUTT Construction Project. Knowing and describing the analysis of the implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) in the 150 kV SUTT Construction Project implemented by the company. To find out and describe the factors that cause the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) in the 150 kV SUTT Construction Project to be unfulfilled. To find out and describe the corrective actions/improvements in an effort to fulfill the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) in the 150 kV SUTT Construction Project. Theoretically, this research can deepen the understanding of the implementation of SMK3 in construction projects, especially those with high risks such as the construction of High Voltage Air Lines (SUTT) both ongoing and future. A checklist of SMK3 implementation has been implemented based on 166 audit criteria according to PP No. 50 of 2012, with a fulfillment rate of 98.80% (164 criteria fulfilled and 2 criteria not fulfilled). Several criteria in the implementation of SMK3 have not been fully fulfilled, which hinders the optimization of K3 implementation. Several strategic steps have been formulated to improve the implementation of SMK3 more effectively.

This research is motivated by the important role of human resources in achieving organizational goals, particularly how communication skills, emotional intelligence, and work discipline can affect employee performance. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of communication skills, emotional intelligence, and work discipline on employee performance, the influence of communication skills and emotional intelligence on work discipline, and the influence of communication skills and emotional intelligence on employee performance through work discipline. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected through a questionnaire distributed to 86 employees of PT Gasina Makassar, and then analyzed using path analysis techniques with the help of Smart-PLS 4.0 statistical software. The conclusion of this study is that emotional intelligence and work discipline are the dominant factors influencing employee performance, while communication skills only have a significant impact on performance when mediated by work discipline. These findings imply that the company needs to enhance emotional intelligence, strengthen discipline, and build effective communication to improve employee performance.

This study aims to analyze the effect of Regional Taxes, Regional Retributions, Separated Regional Wealth Management Results, and Other Legitimate Regional Original Revenues on the Regional Original Revenue (PAD) of Lembata Regency for the 2020–2024 period. The research employs a quantitative approach with an associative and causal-comparative design, using secondary data obtained from the Regional Budget Realization Reports (APBD), official government documents, and publications from the BPS. The sampling technique used is the census (saturated sampling) method with a total of 60 observational units, and data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression. The results show that partially, Regional Retributions and Other Legitimate PAD have a positive and significant effect on the PAD of Lembata Regency. Meanwhile, Regional Taxes and Separated Regional Wealth Management Results (HPKDD) have a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, the four independent variables have a significant effect on PAD. These findings indicate that the management of retributions and other legitimate revenues plays a dominant role in enhancing regional fiscal independence, while the contribution of regional taxes and HPKDD still needs to be optimized through improved governance, tax policy effectiveness, and the performance of regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) to strengthen the regional financial structure sustainably.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of librarians’ competence and interpersonal communication on the quality of information literacy services, with the experience of final-year students as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, the study employed Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze four latent variables: librarian competence, interpersonal communication, student experience, and service quality. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire administered to final-year students of Universitas Ciputra and analyzed using SmartPLS, with validity and reliability tests conducted to ensure the robustness of the measurement model. The results revealed that both librarian competence and interpersonal communication had significant direct effects on the quality of information literacy services, while the mediating role of student experience was not statistically supported, indicating that service quality is shaped more strongly by direct interactions than by mediated experiences. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening librarians’ professional competence and communication skills as key drivers of service quality, suggesting that higher education institutions should prioritize continuous training and professional development to optimize literacy services for final-year students. The following are appended: (1) Research instruments in the form of Likert-scale questionnaires; (2) Data processing procedures and SmartPLS outputs, including measurement and structural model testing; and (3) Additional statistical findings such as bootstrapping results and non-significant mediation analysis.

This study aims to analyze the role of financial inclusion in enhancing the sustainability of food-sector MSMEs in Makassar City. The research adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Primary data were collected through a survey of 100 food-sector MSME owners selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation analysis to identify the strength of the relationships between the dimensions of financial inclusion and MSME sustainability. The results indicate that digital finance has a positive, strong, and significant relationship with MSME sustainability (r = 0.793; p < 0.01). In contrast, financial services, the use of financial products, as well as the quality and affordability of financial services show weak and insignificant relationships with MSME sustainability. These findings suggest that the utilization of digital financial services plays a more substantial role in supporting MSME sustainability than mere access to conventional financial services.

This study aims to reveal the influence of parental income and lifestyle on the consumption behavior of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar. A quantitative approach with an ex-post facto design of associative causal nature was employed. The study involved 49 students selected using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The research instrument was a closed-ended questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 24. The findings indicate that both parental income and lifestyle have a positive and significant effect on student consumption, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.832 shows that 83.2% of the variation in student consumption can be explained by these two variables. These findings suggest that increased parental income and a tendency toward a consumptive lifestyle contribute to higher levels of student consumption.
