Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technology is reshaping how young people learn, communicate, and participate in civic life. Guided by Ribble’s digital citizenship framework and Choi’s multidimensional model, this study examines the level of digital citizenship literacy among Indonesian high school students. It proposes a practical reinforcement model for civic education, using a quantitative, descriptive design and a cross-sectional survey. Data were collected from 40 eleventh-grade students using a validated 19-item questionnaire covering four dimensions: digital awareness, digital ethics, digital social responsibility, and digital civic participation. Results show a high overall literacy level (86.94%), with students demonstrating strong social responsibility and civic participation but lower critical awareness of digital information. Significant correlations among dimensions indicate that ethical awareness helps shape responsible civic engagement. Based on these findings, a Two-Phase Reinforcement Model was developed, emphasizing value exploration and critical reflection. This model offers a relevant approach for strengthening civic education in Indonesia’s transition toward a human-centered digital.

Abstract

The competitiveness of higher education graduates in the global labor market is no longer determined solely by academic achievement, but increasingly by the mastery of multidimensional literacy aligned with international industry demands. In response to this shift, this study investigates the role of economic literacy, accounting literacy, and English language proficiency as strategic foundations for enhancing students’ employability and professional competitiveness at the global level. This study adopts a qualitative literature review approach with descriptive analysis. Data were collected from Google Scholar and other reputable academic databases by reviewing scholarly publications released between 2010 and 2026. An initial pool of 70 articles was identified, from which 50 studies were selected through a systematic screening process based on relevance to the research focus, methodological quality, and the significance of their findings. The analysis reveals that economic literacy, accounting literacy, and English proficiency are closely interconnected and should not be developed in isolation. A lack of integrated literacy development contributes to skill mismatch, weak analytical abilities in contextual economic and financial situations, and limited professional communication skills among graduates in global workplace settings. Furthermore, evidence from case studies indicates that insufficient mastery of these integrated literacies often becomes a critical barrier in recruitment processes and professional performance within multinational companies. Based on these findings, this study emphasizes the importance of cross-disciplinary curriculum integration in higher education. It also recommends the implementation of project-based learning, global simulation activities, and strengthened collaboration between higher education institutions and international industries as sustainable strategies to enhance graduate competitiveness and better prepare students for the challenges of the global labor market.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role as a main pillar of Indonesia’s economy; however, their sustainability increasingly depends on the ability of business actors to implement effective and adaptive marketing communication strategies amid intense competition. This study aims to analyze the application of the promotion mix in the marketing communication strategy of Sarang Kepiting, a seafood culinary MSME that has been operating since 1983 in North Jakarta. This research contributes novelty by examining the promotion mix in a long-established culinary MSME with a multi-generational customer base, emphasizing promotional practices that are contextual, relationship-oriented, and embedded within service interactions. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the owner, employees, and customers, as well as observation and documentation. The findings indicate that Sarang Kepiting has implemented all elements of the promotion mix, advertising, sales promotion, public relations, personal selling, and direct marketing, although the implementation remains simple, situational, and not yet systematically structured. Personal selling emerges as the most dominant element in building customer loyalty. This study concludes that the application of the promotion mix contributes positively to brand awareness and business sustainability, and has the potential to enhance the competitiveness of culinary MSMEs if managed more consistently and integratively across all elements.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of using podcasts as a medium for independent pronunciation learning and to identify the factors that support and hinder their use. The research employed a qualitative descriptive design involving English Language Education students at Tadulako University. The participants were selected using purposive and snowball sampling techniques, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal that students generally have positive perceptions of podcasts for independent pronunciation learning. Podcasts are considered easy to use, flexible, and accessible anytime and anywhere, allowing students to practice pronunciation independently and repeatedly. Students also reported that podcasts help them become more familiar with native speakers’ pronunciation, intonation, and accents. However, despite these benefits, several challenges were identified, including the lack of direct practice, limited feedback, and uncertainty about pronunciation accuracy without lecturer guidance. Therefore, while podcasts are effective as a supporting medium for independent pronunciation learning, they should complement, rather than replace, formal classroom instruction. The study suggests that lecturers integrate podcasts into pronunciation teaching while providing guidance and feedback to optimize students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Child-Friendly Schools (CFS) at SMP Negeri 1 Semaka, Tanggamus Regency, with an emphasis on the role of the principal's policies, child-friendly learning, and student participation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies, with the principal and teachers as key informants. The results show that the principal's policies play a central role in integrating the principles of CFS into school management, particularly in creating a safe, comfortable, and violence-free environment. Child-friendly learning is implemented through conducive classroom management, humanistic communication, and the application of positive discipline without violence. In addition, student participation is facilitated through open and inclusive policies, so that students have space to express opinions and be involved in school decision-making. However, this study also found a gap between the ideal concept of CFS and empirical practice, particularly related to differences in understanding among some school members and parents regarding positive discipline and the unequal courage of student participation. Overall, this study concludes that the success of SRA implementation is largely determined by the strength of the principal's policies, supported by child-friendly learning and a sustainable participatory culture. This research is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of Child-Friendly School policies in junior high schools.
