Abstract

This study examines the incorporation of local wisdom into pedagogical approaches in junior high schools in Bali, emphasizing how educators integrate Balinese cultural values and practices into classroom instruction. This research examines the utilization of local wisdom, the teaching methods employed, and the problems faced in various educational environments through culturally responsive pedagogy. A qualitative case study methodology encompassed classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with educators and administrators, and an analysis of instructional documents. Research indicates that Balinese philosophies, such Tri Hita Karana and Tat Twam Asi, and other local wisdom together with community-oriented practices, are amalgamated through storytelling, project-based learning, reflective writing, and experiential instruction. These methodologies promote student involvement, cultural consciousness, and moral advancement. Nonetheless, obstacles hinder its implementation, such as time limitations, the absence of culturally pertinent teaching materials, insufficient professional development, and demands from the conventional curriculum. The study underscores differences in integration methods based on regional and institutional contexts prioritizing reflective and discussion-oriented approaches. The findings confirm that teaching grounded on local wisdom increases the significance and effectiveness of education, while simultaneously acting as a vehicle for cultural preservation. The study advocates for enhanced institutional support, educator training, and curriculum adaptability to foster culturally relevant education.

Abstract

The coloration of chrysanthemum flowers is strongly affected by ambient temperature, primarily through the biosynthetic and degradative pathways of anthocyanin pigments. This literature review synthesizes findings from 2015 to 2025, focusing on temperature effects under both open-field and controlled-environment (greenhouse) conditions. Elevated temperatures (≥30 °C) have been shown to inhibit anthocyanin biosynthesis and accelerate pigment degradation, leading to faded petal coloration. Conversely, cooler temperatures promote pigment accumulation, resulting in brighter and more persistent floral hues. These temperature-dependent responses vary across cultivars and are influenced by developmental stages and interactions with light intensity, relative humidity, and nutrient status. Greenhouse cultivation offers potential mitigation but demands integrated microclimate regulation. Omics approaches, including transcriptomics and metabolomics, hold promise in uncovering the genetic mechanisms that regulate flower coloration. In parallel, the application of smart technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data, driven prediction systems can support precision cultivation practices. These insights provide a scientific foundation for optimizing chrysanthemum-based floriculture production systems that are resilient to climate change

Abstract

Background: Cesarean section (CS) rates have been increasing in Indonesia, including in Papua, raising concerns about maternal and neonatal outcomes. Antenatal care (ANC) is a key intervention to monitor pregnancy and prevent complications. Objective: This study aimed to determine the association between maternal age, parity, and ANC Visits with cesarean section delivery at TK II Marthen Indey Hospital, Jayapura. Methods: An analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted in 2017. The study population consisted of all delivering mothers, with a sample of 149 respondents selected based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data were obtained from medical records, including variables on maternal age, parity, ANC visits, and medical history. Univariable, bivariate (Chi-square), and multivariable (logistic regression) analyses were performed to identify dominant factors associated with CS. Results: Of 149 respondents, 57.0% delivered by CS, exceeding the WHO recommended rate (5–15%). Multivariable analysis showed that maternal age <20 or >35 years (aOR=1.6; 95% CI: 1.02–2.85; p=0.042), primiparity (aOR=1.9; 95% CI: 1.08–3.60; p=0.038), and irregular ANC visits (aOR=3.8; 95% CI: 2.00–7.20; p=0.001) were significantly associated with CS. The model showed good fit (Hosmer–Lemeshow p=0.47, Nagelkerke R²=0.32) and discrimination ability (AUC=0.76). Conclusion: Maternal age, primiparity, and ANC Visits are significant predictors of cesarean section delivery, with irregular ANC being the dominant factor. Interventions promoting regular ANC visits, particularly for high-risk mothers, are recommended to reduce unnecessary CS.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of marketing information on eco-friendly product purchase decisions, focusing on young consumers, particularly vocational school students. With growing awareness of sustainability, consumers are increasingly considering environmental impact in their purchasing decisions. However, the effectiveness of marketing information in influencing eco-friendly product purchases remains uncertain. While some studies suggest green marketing shapes consumer behavior, others highlight product quality and trust in sustainability claims as more dominant factors. The study aims to analyze factors affecting consumer acceptance of sustainability claims, emphasizing how marketing strategies highlighting environmental aspects, social media, and peer influence shape decision-making. Expected outcomes include: (1) publication in a national accredited journal, (2) development of a green marketing education module for vocational students, (3) formulation of evidence-based green marketing strategies, and (4) intellectual property rights submission for the developed model. This research is positioned at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3–4, focusing on exploration and conceptual model development to be tested qualitatively. The results aim to provide a foundation for designing effective, evidence-based green marketing strategies that can be applied by both industries and educational institutions to encourage more responsible consumption.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: .

Abstract

The use of technology in the banking sector through Financial Technology (digital finance) is expected to provide convenience in services for the public. However, its implementation still faces challenges due to the low level of public understanding regarding digital finance and investment. This study aims to analyse the influence of risk, ease of use, usefulness, and benefits on attitudes toward the use and adoption of digital finance, with financial literacy as a moderating variable. This quantitative research involved 180 respondents who are customers of BPR Syariah, selected using purposive sampling and the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and analysed using SEM-PLS. The results indicate that risk has a negative effect, while ease of use, usefulness, and benefits have positive effects on attitudes toward the use and adoption of digital finance. Nevertheless, attitudes toward the use of digital finance do not significantly affect adoption, and financial literacy is not proven to moderate the relationship. These findings highlight that ease of use, usefulness, and benefits are more dominant factors in encouraging the use of digital finance compared to financial literacy itself
