Abstract

An orphanage is a social institution that provides protection, care and education for children who are neglected, orphaned or do not have families who are able to care for them. The background to the establishment of an orphanage is closely related to various social, economic and cultural factors that exist in society. Overall, the background to the establishment of orphanages involves a combination of complex social, economic, cultural and policy factors. Although the main goal is to provide protection and education for children in need, challenges and changes in society continue to influence the role and function of orphanages in responding to the needs of neglected children. However​ at the orphanage care sometimes Where does the problem of bullying occur ? matter the is a serious situation and can impact the emotional and mental well-being of the children living there. Method used​ in activity devotion public This is with give training and socialization To use build pattern think and be enthusiastic children House For understand and can " fight" bullying. Abstract

The elderly are one of the groups or populations at risk (population at risk) whose numbers are increasing. Allender, Rector, and Warner (2014) said that the population at risk is a group of people who have health problems. The aim of community service intervention activities is to improve the health status of the elderly so that they remain healthy and independent. The method used in this intervention is counseling. The stages include pretest, counseling, question and answer, evaluation, door prize distribution. Participants were very enthusiastic and gave positive responses in the form of active participation in questions and answers in the discussion session. With this activity, elderly people will understand more about diseases that often occur in the elderly and how to prevent them and know how to maintain quality of life

Abstract

Education is an important form of long-term investment for a human being. Successful education will create people who are fit and worthy in society and will not cause trouble to other people. Societies from the most backward to the most advanced recognize that education or teachers are one of the many main elements that form the main prospective members of society. Successful education will create people who are fit and worthy in society, so it is important for education to produce people who are qualified and competitive. The method used in this community service activity is to provide training and socialization in order to build students' mindset and enthusiasm to increase students' learning motivation. The stages carried out in this activity are: Preparation stage and training stage. The results of community service obtained are increased motivation for participants at the Aulia Bojongsari Depok orphanage so that they are trained and increase their insight into the importance of learning for the future and building a golden generation in the future. It is hoped that the knowledge gained in this Community Service activity will be able to encourage new enthusiasm in delivering material and motivation, as well as contributing to the younger generation, especially participants from both elementary and middle and upper secondary levels, also with positive aims both in the business world, campus and family

Abstract

This community service aims to explain the application of ing madya mangun karsa from Ki Hajar Dewantara's leadership trilogy to SMEs in Yogyakarta consisting of UMKM Pottery & Ceramic Crafts "Dwiyanto Ceramic," UMKM Azka Furniture Bantul, Rama Putra Motor Bantul, and schools in Malaysia namely the Community Learning Center (CLC). This abdimas method uses direct and indirect observation with interview techniques through the Zoom application. The concept used is that of ing madya man gun karst in overcoming ongoing problems and providing solutions to leaders and followers in achieving their vision and goals. Training seminars and workshops were held both offline and online. The results of the activities are the understanding and implementation of the ing madya mangun karsa leadership attitude in the Pottery & Ceramic Craft UMKM "Dwiyanto Ceramic," UMKM Azka Furniture Bantul, Rama Putra Motor Bantul, and the Community Learning Center (CLC).

Abstract

This research aims to 1) Explain clearly and in detail what are the visual characteristics of the Kutai Sultanate Takwo traditional clothes as a characteristic of the Sultanate's clothes; 2) Understand the critical meaning of Kutai Sultanate traditional clothes in the sociocultural context; 3) Knowing the signs (semiotics) in Kutai Sultanate traditional clothes with Pierce's semiotic study in the form of icons, indexes, and symbols. This study uses the Accidental Sampling technique or findings found by chance as a data source. In addition, observation (consisting of pre-observation, direct observation, and non-observation), as well as interviews and documentation, are some of the techniques used in this study. The object of this research is the traditional Clothing of the Kutai Sultanate, namely Takwo. The data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed below: 1) the visual character of Kutai Sultanate traditional clothing has its characteristics from other regional traditional Clothing; 2) the meaning of Kutai Sultanate traditional clothing which illustrates the openness of the Kutai tribe in accepting foreign cultural developments; 3) public awareness in using Kutai Sultanate traditional clothing is getting higher through signs that exist in the accessories component of Takwo cloth

Abstract

Bengkulu is a province in Indonesia. This province also has a tradition that has developed into a highly valued cultural festival called the Ark Festival. This festival was initially held to commemorate the heroic story of the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, namely Husein Bin Ali Bin Abi Thalib, who died in battle in Padang Karbela, Iraq. This tradition then continues to develop into a cultural festival, but the value of tradition is still maintained and implemented. The purpose of creating the Bengkulu Ark Festival painting as an idea for creating paintings is to fulfil the desire for expression. In addition, to develop the creativity of ideas and painting techniques. Then, to find a personal style. So that the general public can enjoy the art in the form of paintings. Finally, to create a sense of love for Indonesian culture and to preserve it. In creating the final project, instead of a thesis, the method of creation used is Gustami SP's approach. The three stages of the creation method used are exploration, design, and realization of artworks. This method is appropriate in the process of creating the artwork. The artworks created are all based on the theme of the Bengkulu Ark festival. The primary medium used is canvas, which is the same size as 100 x 100 cm. Up to the realization of the work and accountability, the design process is carried out in a structured manner

Abstract

Interactive multimedia development in elementary schools is significant, and the current technological progress has progressed very rapidly. The development of interactive multimedia based on the Google Sites application is significant because the development of appropriate learning will trigger students to be active and creative. This web-based Google Sites media is considered a simple learning media that teachers and students use and understand. In particular, it makes it easy for learners to understand the material during online learning. Tembang dolanan anak as a learning medium is very appropriate because it is easy to learn, and students are more entertained learning while singing. The Diversity that discusses the various cultural differences of Indonesia requires development in learning so that students are more interested and understand the material better. This activity analyzes how the online learning process uses Google Sites. The material presented is Civics Learning for grade IV SD. The activity method used is the descriptive qualitative method. The sample in this study was 15 students who had personal smartphones. The 15 students consisted  of 10 male and five female students, targeting grade IV students at SDN Keputran A. The results of this activity are 1) Google sites an effect on online learning, 2) According to the result of learning observation and interview results, students are interested in Google Sites Media because this media is efficient, 3) Students feel comfortable with the media of children’s folk song or tembang dolanan anak because during learning students are entertained and can be presented in the form of coloured text, images, video and audio

Abstract

Data analysis techniques are one of the critical stages that young researchers must carry out when conducting research. Apart from that, young researchers also need to understand knowledge related to statistical methods to make carrying out their research easier. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of young researchers (especially students) related to Structural Equation Modeling using the PLS and the Simultaneous Equation Model. Apart from that, this activity also aims to increase the experience of young researchers by directly instilling the use of the SmartPLS program. This Community Service Activity was conducted as a seminar on June 13, 2024, from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB (09.00 to 13.00 MST) online via Zoom Cloud's Meeting. Universiti Malaysia Sabah is a partner in this activity. Seventy-six participants, including lecturers, students, and researchers from state and private universities in Indonesia and Malaysia, participated in this activity. The activity evaluation results show that participants' understanding and skills regarding Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS), SmartPLS, and Simultaneous Equation Model have increased

Abstract

The artist attempts to visualize the value and philosophical meaning of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi's poems of longing. The message and meaning in Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi's longing poems will be the primary foundation in the artist's interpretation process, focusing on the value of love and longing to be realized as a means of visual communication through painting. The method of creating this final project is also an attempt to learn the artist's creativity, ideas, and techniques to express themselves through a painting and produce works that represent the artist. The method used by the artist in the creation process includes observation, Exploration, design, and realization of the work. The artist observes and absorbs the values and meanings contained in Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi's poems of longing through a source in the form of books, literary works, the internet, and philosophical studies about Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi. To support the process of creating this painting, the artist also explores by observing the works of previous artists and visiting art galleries. The results of these processes become the artist's capital to carry out a method of realization of the painting. The artist visualizes the idea in a painting, with eight paintings sourced from the artist's Exploration. The resulting artworks have sizes ranging from 100x80 cm to 120x100 cm. All the artworks were then exhibited and presented to the examiners

Abstract

This program is conducted to increase awareness and tax literacy of SMEs with the hope that SMEs know the taxation process such as calculating, depositing, and reporting. This webinar was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 and was attended by 180 participants consisting of SMEs from the East Jakarta and West Jakarta areas, students and lecturers of Universitas Negeri Jakarta, and students of Mara University of Technology Malaysia. Assoc.There were three speakers who filled this webinar event. Prof. Dr. Razana Juhaida Johari as the first speaker explained the concept of accounting for MSMEs, the second speaker, Rizky Tiaro Sulistyo, S.Tr.Ak. delivered material on the Taxation Education Program for MSMEs, Muzaki Andriawan P.S.E., B.K.P., CTAP as the third speaker closed the session with a practical discussion on income tax for MSMEs. The results of this program were carried out well. interesting material for umkm made participants actively ask questions and want to explore more about taxes that apply to umkm and accounting concepts for SMEs.
