Abstract

Income inequality occurs across all regions of Indonesia, both in urban and rural areas. This phenomenon exacerbates poverty, making the poor even poorer. This study focuses on the island of Sumatra, which still has many underdeveloped regions. The method used in this research is Decomposition Regression, aiming to prove whether there is indeed per capita income inequality in Sumatra. The data analyzed includes various economic indicators from all provinces in Sumatra, including Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and income distribution. The research results show significant per capita income inequality in Sumatra. This inequality is primarily caused by substantial differences in GRDP between urban and rural areas as well as between cities and regencies. The study found that regions with high GRDP tend to experience faster welfare improvement compared to regions with low GRDP. These findings indicate the need for more equitable economic policies to reduce income inequality and improve welfare throughout Sumatra. The study also highlights the importance of investing in infrastructure and education in underdeveloped areas to support more inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This research underscores the critical need for targeted development efforts to bridge the economic gap and promote balanced regional development.

Various attractions, facilities, access, and community in a tourist destination are one of the tourist attractions that can be done. Another choice of tourist activities is the ethno-wellness spa which offers tourist activities by presenting ethnic uniqueness from every tribe in Indonesia in a spa nuance. The ethno-wellness spa is a tourist activity intended for tourists interested in having an experience of fitness tourism in the metropolitan city of Jakarta. This research aims to increase awareness of travel through ethno-wellness spas in metropolitan Jakarta. The type of research used in this study is qualitative descriptive, where data is taken and described qualitatively using Sugiono’s data triangulation analysis model in data processing. The instruments in this study used interview guides, documentation and collecting data from crowdsourcing. The participants in this study were spa therapists and visitors from five-star hotels in Jakarta. Visitors to five-star hotel spas in the metropolitan city of Jakarta began to know the existence of ethno-wellness spa activities as an alternative to other tourism through creative promotions from its stakeholders. This research contributes to stakeholders in ethno-wellness spa as a reference to maximize awareness of alternative travel activities in this field.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media in the form of a comic featuring the exemplary figure KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah to improve the Arabic listening skills of tenth-grade students at MAN 10 Jombang. Comic-based learning media is expected to engage students' interest and provide a deeper understanding of the Arabic language material. This research adopts the research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of the study consisted of tenth-grade students from class X-C at MAN 10 Jombang, and data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in students' listening skills. The results showed that the average pre-test score was 65.37, while the post-test score significantly increased to 89.08. The N-Gain Score test indicated an effective improvement with a score of 69.76%, which falls into the moderately effective category. Validation from media experts and subject matter experts resulted in validity scores of 95% and 93.3%, respectively, demonstrating that the media is highly suitable for use. Additionally, students' responses to the learning media were overwhelmingly positive, with 94.06% agreeing that the comic media helped them understand Arabic listening materials. Therefore, this learning media effectively enhances students' listening skills and is suitable for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of political connections in the relationship between related party sales and firm values. The population of the study consists of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2023, totaling 2,309 companies. A sample of 74 companies, with 296 observations, was selected based on specific criteria. The data analysis method used is ordinary least square. The study finds that related party sales negatively impact firm value. Moreover, this negative impact is more pronounced in companies with political connections. These findings indicate that companies engaged in related party sales tend to experience a decrease in firm value, and political connections exacerbate this decline. Therefore, it is crucial for companies to consider the impact of political connections in related party sales activities to optimize firm value.

This research is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects included Muslim convert couples who had married in Loksado. Data was obtained through structured interviews and document study. The research results show that there are significant problems in registering marriages of converts to Islam, especially for those who were previously married according to the Kaharingan belief. The main obstacles include the absence of a divorce certificate, death certificate, and legalization of marriages entered into before converting to Islam. Factors that influence this problem include low levels of education, understanding of administration, and economic factors. In addition, differences in views were found between Islamic law and Indonesian positive law regarding remarriage after converting to Islam. This article provides an in-depth view of the need for administrative reform and legal policy to protect the rights of converts to marriage.

Abstract

The Indonesian language proficiency training aims to assess both oral and written language skills, focusing on receptive active skills, namely listening and reading. These skills are essential as they provide the foundation for productive language abilities. Achieving high proficiency requires intensive and continuous practice. This is particularly important for students, as enhancing receptive active skills can significantly boost their academic performance. In this training, students from grades X, XI, and XII of SMA Muhammadiyah Kota Sukabumi participated. They were provided with intensive exercises, including both oral and written questions. The training utilized audio recordings containing spoken discourses, consisting of four dialogues and four monologues, accompanied by forty multiple-choice questions for each session. The training was conducted in two stages: first, students listened to the discourse, and then they answered multiple-choice questions related to it. Each discourse was followed by five questions, and the activity was carried out in two sessions. The results showed a range of abilities among the students, with significant improvement noted in the second session. For listening skills, the highest score achieved was 360 (excellent) and the lowest was 134 (average). In reading, the highest score was 297 (very good), and the lowest was 63 (limited). The training effectively improved the students' Indonesian language proficiency, particularly in listening and reading.

Abstract

This systematic review aims to explore the influence of service quality on patient satisfaction and loyalty in clinics. With the growing need for healthcare services and increasing competition among healthcare providers, understanding the key determinants of patient satisfaction and loyalty becomes crucial. The review analyzed multiple studies on service quality in clinics, focusing on key service dimensions such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. These dimensions are critical in forming patient perceptions and determining the overall patient experience. Our findings reveal that service quality significantly impacts patient satisfaction, which in turn fosters loyalty. Satisfied patients are more likely to return to the clinic for future services and recommend it to others. Factors such as the professionalism of healthcare providers, the cleanliness of the facilities, and efficient communication contribute to patient loyalty. However, not all patients react similarly, as individual demographic and clinic-specific factors can influence their responses. This review concludes with recommendations for clinics to enhance service quality and patient-centered care to maintain a competitive edge.
