DE_JOURNAL (Dharmas Education Journal) merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Dharmas Indonesia, dan sebagai sarana publikasi hasil penelitian serta berbagi perkembangan ilmu tentang pendidikan. Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan ilmu pendidikan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perhatian orang tua dan kompetensi kepribadian guru terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 105453 Gunung Para. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Ex-post Facto, dapat dijelaskan bahwa dalam melakukan penelitian langkah pertama yang dilakukan adalah melakukan validasi di mana data diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada siswa kelas V SD 107467 Gunung Para yang berjumlah 22 siswa, Validasi ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui data yang valid untuk digunakan pada saat penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Angket dengan menggunakan 23 pernyataan. yang sudah divalidasi dan sebelum divalidkan adalah 40 pernyataan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi berganda untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel perhatian orang tua, kompetensi kepribadian guru, dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Berdasarkan nilai t diketahui niai t hitung sebesar 2,899 > t tabel 2,086, sehingga dapat disimpulkan variabel Perhatian Orang Tua (X1) berpengaruh terhadap Kemandirian Belajar Siswa (Y). Berdasarkan nilai t diketahui niai t hitung sebesar 2,836 > t tabel 2,086, sehingga dapat disimpulkan variabel Kompetensi Kepribadian Guru (X2) berpengaruh terhadap Kemandirian Belajar Siswa (Y). Nilai Konstanta (α) sebesar 9,145 dapat diartikan Perhatian Orang Tua dan Kompetensi Kepribadian Guru pada tingkat variabel Kemandirian Belajar Siswa. Apabila Variabel independen bernilai 0 atau konstan maka Kemandirian Belajar Siswa (Y) memiliki nilai sebesar 9,145.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the process of extracurricular dance activities and the values ​​of character education at SD Negeri 13 Banda Sakti, Lhokseumawe City. This type of research is field research that uses a qualitative approach and is located at SD Negeri 13 Banda Sakti, Lhokseumawe City, Electric Road, Banda Sakti, Lhokseumawe City. Research methods include observation methods, interview methods, documentation methods. The data validity checking technique used is data triangulation. The results of the research show that the dance extracurricular at SD Negeri 13 Banda Sakti, Lhokseumawe City was held based on the request of the parents and students until 2023. The purpose of the dance extracurricular is as a forum for developing students' talents and interests in the field of dance. The dance extracurricular activity process is carried out once a week and is attended by 7 students from class V who are formed into 1 group. The extracurricular dance material is the Ranub Lampuan dance. The sequence of events for each opening and closing practice. The tools used in the Ranub Lampuan dance extracurricular are loudspeakers, flash disks and laptops. Furthermore, the character education values ​​found in extracurricular activities include religious dance, tolerance, discipline, hard work, curiosity, love of the country, respect for achievement, friendship or communicativeness, responsibility, and caring for the environment. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the implementation of dance extracurricular activities can shape the manners of students who are members of the Ranub Lampuan dance extracurricular at SD Negeri 13 Banda Sakti, Lhokseumawe City.

Abstract

Study This aims to analyze PAI learning at the Nurul Hakim Islamic Institute, Kediri, West Lombok. Using a type of field research with a descriptive approach qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out through three techniques, namely; interviews, observations, and documentation. The research data analysis method used is an interactive model. The results of this research show that there are 4 general stages in PAI learning at the Nurul Hakim Islamic Institute. The 4 stages, namely; planning, implementation, evaluation and supervision. Regarding planning, the Nurul Hakim Islamic Institute is in the process of planning PAI learning in the National Education System, and bases itself on the vision and mission of its Higher Education. Regarding the implementation of this program, it relies on predetermined lecture times, and there are also other activities that are temporary. However, these activities did not have a significant impact on student assessments. So it can be said that the implementation of PAI learning at the Nurul Hakim Islamic Institute (IAI) is not running optimally; and related to evaluation and supervision, it was found that the evaluation and supervision carried out did not fully run optimally, as this also happened in the implementation of PAI learning at the Nurul Hakim Islamic Institute (IAI) itself.

Abstract

Mathematics education basically aims to form logical and critical thinking skills. In SDN 20 Sitiung, many students found it difficult to understand the concept of fractions, students who were not focused on learning, educators who only used textbooks and LKS during the learning process, especially in mathematics subjects, and students who considered mathematics to be a boring subject. Therefore, interesting learning media are needed, especially in class V of SDN 20 Sitiung on the material of fractions, so that students are more interested and find it easy to learn and understand the subject matter independently. One alternative that can be applied is the development of learning media in the form of puzzles. This type of research uses research and development which is more often called Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluate. The results of the validation of the puzzle learning media on the fractional number material by 4 validators consist of five aspects that are assessed, the overall average of the assessment of the five aspects has a score of 0.813% with a valid category. The practicality test from educators got a score of 100% with a very practical category and from students got an average percentage of 88% categorized as very practical so that it can be used and can be applied in Elementary Schools (SD). While the results of the effectiveness test got an average of 90.5% effective. So it can be concluded that this V meets the criteria of valid, very practical, and effective so that this puzzle learning media is worthy of use in the learning process

Abstract

SDS IT Al-Bina 01 Koto Baru is an educational institution that stands out in the formation of student character, especially in one dimension of the Pancasila Student Profile (P3), namely faith, devotion to God Almighty, and noble morals. This study aims to explore the strategies implemented by schools in instilling these values ​​through various aspects, such as religious aspects, personality, social relations, relations with nature, and love for the nation. The approach used in this study is qualitative with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To ensure the validity of the data, source and technique triangulation techniques were used. The results of the study revealed that the school implemented a strategy based on the moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action approaches. This strategy is implemented through various programs such as the determination of Graduate Competency Standards (SKL), school discipline rules, superior programs, routine activities, and the use of liaison books between teachers and parents. All of this is designed to instill the values ​​of faith and noble morals in students in the Integrated Islamic Elementary School environment. This approach has proven effective in fostering religious values ​​and noble character in students. Abstract

Teaching pronunciation skills in English is an important aspect that needs to be paid attention to in the learning process. Many students have difficulty pronouncing certain sounds, such as /r/, /l/, /θ/, and /ð/. Therefore, teachers need to apply methods that are engaging, interactive, and in accordance with the needs of students. One of the methods used in this study is the tongue twister game which is considered effective in practicing pronunciation in a fun way. This study aims to describe the application of the sound repetition game method in pronunciation learning in grade VII of SMPN 1 Sitiung and to identify its advantages and weaknesses. The approach used is qualitative descriptive with a case study design. The data collection technique was carried out through observation and interviews with teachers and students of grade VII for the 2025/2026 school year. The results of the study show that this method is applied gradually, starting from giving examples by teachers to taking turns reciting practice by students. The use of media in the form of text and pictures helps students' understanding. The students' responses showed increased confidence and pronunciation ability. The learning atmosphere became more active and fun. Abstract

This research aims to describe the image of women and the form of gender injustice contained in the novel Masih Abadak Surga Untukku? by Naya R and Tears of Marriage by Rahmi Novaliza. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method and the main theory used is the theory of Sugihastuti and Suharto (2016) about the image of women and Fakih (2020) about gender injustice. The data collection technique is done by intensive reading, recording, and classifying relevant quotes from both novels. The results of the research show that the image of women in both novels includes physical, psychological, and social images. The physical image is described through the description of the female figure's body related to beauty, softness, and weakness. The psychic image appears from the feelings, thoughts, and inner struggle of female characters. While the social image is seen through the role of women in the family and society. On the other hand, the form of gender injustice found in the novel Masih Abadak Surga Untukku? includes subordination and workload, while the form of gender injustice in Air Mata Pernikanan includes marginalization, subordination, stereotypes, violence, and workload. An intertextual comparison between the two novels shows that the Tears of Marriage are more complex in representing gender inequality and the suffering of women in social relations, while Is There Still Heaven For Me? more emphasis on inner upheaval and the position of women in the family. The conclusion of this research is that both novels reflect the social reality of gender inequality that still binds women, although with different intensity and form.

Abstract

This study aims to develop relevant and adaptive English for Specific Purposes (ESP) materials for students in the Hospitality Department at vocational high schools. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, expert validation sheets, tests, and documentation. The needs analysis based on the Need, Lack, and Want framework revealed that students require English proficiency for front office operations, guest relations, and handling complaints, while existing materials are still too general and not sufficiently aligned with industry demands. Students also expressed a strong preference for role play activities and the integration of digital technologies, such as AI-powered chatbots, to support authentic learning. Expert validation confirmed content feasibility with a Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.92, while design and interactivity aspects received an average score of 88%. A limited product trial showed a significant improvement in students’ average scores from 62.3 to 78.5 after using the developed materials. These findings highlight that deep learning-based ESP materials can enhance relevance, effectiveness, and employability readiness of vocational hospitality students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze students' needs for Group Guidance and Counseling learning materials based on TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) at STKIP Muhammadiyah Sungai Penuh. The research used a descriptive quantitative approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire designed based on the Need, Lack, Want (NLW) framework integrated with the TPACK domains. The questionnaire was distributed to 30 fourth-semester students from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results revealed: (1) Need: 82% of students highly require the presence of a TPACK-based e-book that holistically integrates content, pedagogy, and technology; (2) Lack: 76% of students faced difficulties in understanding the material through conventional textbooks, which were deemed no longer relevant; (3) Want: 85% of students desire interactive features such as group dynamics simulations, interactive quizzes, and role-play guides in the e-book.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam pengaruh penerapan ice breaking dan minat baca terhadap konsentrasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar (SD) melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Sumber literatur diperoleh dari berbagai basis data terindeks, antara lain Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), ResearchGate, dan ProQuest, dengan batasan waktu publikasi antara tahun 2015 hingga 2025. Secara keseluruhan, terdapat 25 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria relevansi untuk dianalisis. Proses seleksi literatur dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi, penyaringan, serta analisis tematik terhadap artikel yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan ice breaking secara konsisten memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan konsentrasi belajar siswa. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kemampuannya dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan, mengurangi kejenuhan, serta meningkatkan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Di sisi lain, minat baca juga terbukti berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam mempertahankan fokus, memahami materi pelajaran, serta menumbuhkan motivasi belajar. Meskipun demikian, tingkat pengaruh dan konsistensi hasil antarpenelitian masih menunjukkan variasi, yang kemungkinan disebabkan oleh perbedaan desain penelitian, jumlah sampel, serta instrumen pengukuran yang digunakan. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan agar penelitian selanjutnya menggunakan desain eksperimen longitudinal dan instrumen pengukuran konsentrasi belajar yang lebih objektif guna memperkuat bukti empiris mengenai hubungan antara ice breaking, minat baca, dan konsentrasi belajar siswa sekolah dasar.
