Abstract

This community service activity was carried out with the aim of enhancing the ability of housewives to manage family finances effectively and wisely in Tampa Garam Village, Sorong City, Southwest Papua Province. The low level of financial literacy among housewives in this area has become the main issue, resulting in limited skills in financial planning, recording expenses, and determining family financial priorities. To address these problems, the training program was designed through four stages: socialization and interactive discussion, core material training, assistance in budget preparation, and evaluation through group discussions. A total of 23 participants took part in this activity and gained comprehensive understanding of the five key steps in family financial management, which include budgeting, determining expenditure priorities, managing debt responsibly, developing saving and investing habits, and monitoring and evaluating family financial conditions regularly. The results of the training indicate a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills, especially in creating more structured financial plans based on household needs. Participants were able to prepare clearer family budgets, set expenditure priorities wisely, and understand the risks associated with poor debt management. Additionally, they demonstrated increased awareness of the importance of saving and investing as a means of anticipating unexpected financial needs in the future. Overall, this activity successfully achieved its objective by providing tangible benefits for improving family financial literacy and encouraging participants to become more independent in managing household financial matters.

Abstract

The Divan Karya peanut brittle (kacang teng-teng) business in Kupang City has experienced a decline in production capacity due to limited labor and the continued use of manual equipment. This community service program aims to improve productivity and market reach through the diffusion of production technology and digital marketing training. The solutions implemented include redesigning the roasting drum using heat-resistant aluminum with a bearing system, and developing a semi-automatic mixing device. Trial results show that roasting time was reduced from approximately 50 minutes to 10 minutes, increasing production capacity from 250 packages/day to 2,000 packages/day while reducing the required labor from two workers to only one. In terms of marketing, the business owner was successfully onboarded to digital platforms to expand product distribution. Overall, technology support significantly enhanced production efficiency and strengthened the competitiveness of this peanut brittle UMKM.

Abstract

Teluk Lada Village, located in the coastal area of Pandeglang Regency, boasts diverse natural resource potential, including fisheries, agriculture, and marine tourism. However, data on this potential has not been systematically documented, complicating development planning and sustainable resource management. This study aims to describe the process of digitizing village natural resource potential data using a Geographic Information System (GIS) to support integrated regional management and development. The method used was participatory mapping, involving the village government, local communities, and a team of students. The activity stages included field data collection, location coordinates acquisition using GPS devices, spatial data processing with QGIS software, and data validation with village stakeholders. The results of this activity produced a digital map of agricultural, fisheries, and tourism potential that can be accessed interactively. This digitization has been proven to simplify the planning process, increase data transparency, and open up investment opportunities based on local potential. Thus, the application of GIS is an innovative solution for realizing effective, accurate, and sustainable village natural resource management.

Abstract

Business legality is an important component in strengthening the sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). One essential form of legality that every business actor must have is the Business Identification Number (NIB), issued through the Online Single Submission Risk-Based Approach (OSS-RBA) system. The NIB functions as a legal identity and a basis for obtaining government facilities and protection. This community service activity was carried out in Sukoharjo District, Sleman Regency, involving two local business partners, Storytime and Warmindo Kang Ali. The aim was to provide counseling and technical assistance on the NIB registration process so that business actors can independently manage their legality. The methods included observation, interviews, and direct guidance. The results showed an increase in understanding and skills in managing business legality, as well as higher legal awareness and independence in supporting a competitive and sustainable business ecosystem.

Abstract

Green accounting is an approach that incorporates environmental sustainability considerations into company policy, particularly in relation to the use of natural, social, and financial resources. The objective of this PKM is to encourage PT CP to begin taking into account the environmental impact of all its business activities so that they are in line with the principles of sustainable development. The methods used include the identification, measurement, assessment, and disclosure of environmental and social costs related to the company's productive activities. This approach is carried out through mentoring, production process analysis, and financial statement evaluation so that the company understands the importance of long-term efficiency and social responsibility. The results of the PKM show an increase in the awareness of PT CP managers regarding the urgency of implementing green accounting, especially amid global environmental crises such as climate change and land degradation. This awareness is the first step for the company towards more sustainable business practices.

Abstract

In the digital era, the ability to process and analyze experimental data has become an important skill in the field of materials science and engineering. Origin is a commercial software widely used for numerical data analysis and scientific visualization, while ImageJ is open-source software that functions in image processing of microscopic characterization results. Considering the importance of mastering both software, a socialization activity and basic training on the use of Origin and ImageJ was held for students of the Physics Study Program, Faculty of Science, University of Jambi. This activity aims to enable students to operate the software in processing research data independently and in accordance with scientific publication standards. Evaluation of the training was carried out by assessing the level of student understanding, which showed an increase in basic skills in using Origin for quantitative data analysis and ImageJ for digital image analysis.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the Sehati Family Planning Village's need for a real-time data monitoring system to evaluate the community's socio-economic resilience. The main challenge faced by partners was the difficulty in monitoring community empowerment indicators effectively and sustainably. The objective of the community service was to implement the website-based SIPATEN-SOSEK (Community Socio-Economic Resilience Monitoring System) application through workshops to increase the capacity of cadres and Working Group (Pokja) administrators. Implementation methods included outreach, technical workshops, mentoring, and data integration with the Village Data House. As a result, cadres and administrators were successfully trained to operate SIPATEN-SOSEK, build a transparent monitoring system, and design data-driven empowerment action plans. This activity successfully created an accountable policy tool and is expected to serve as a model for replication to strengthen the resilience and well-being of families in other Family Planning Villages.

Abstract

Limited sanitation infrastructure in underdeveloped regions serves as a primary barrier to implementing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). SD NegeriWamsoba in Namrole, South Buru, lacks access to clean water and latrines, thereby hindering Handwashing with Soap (CTPS) practices. This activity aims to enhance student competence through education and demonstration. Employing a one-group pre-test/post-test quasi-experimental design on 20 students, effectiveness was analyzed using N-Gain. Results indicated a significant increase in knowledge from 42.1% to 85.3% (high category) and CTPS skills from 16.1% to 69.1% (medium category). These findings demonstrate that while education effectively improves cognitive understanding, motor behavior changes remain constrained by inadequate facilities. Consequently, educational interventions must be accompanied by the provision of sanitation facilities to ensure PHBS sustainability.
