Abstract

ABSTRAK   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengoptimasi kondisi fermentasi terbaik strain Bakteri Asam Asetat penghasil selulosa yaitu isolat SLK-1.  Strain ini diisolasi dari buah salak pada penelitian sebelumnya.  Hasil optimasi menunjukkan bahwa kondisi fermentasi optimum untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi selulosa pada isolat SLK-1  dicapai dengan sumber karbon gula pasir, sumber nitrogen ammonium sulfat, pH 7, suhu inkubasi 25°C dan metode fermentasi statis. Karakter struktur permukaan selulosa hasil fermentasi isolat SLK-1 dipengaruhi oleh metode fermentasi yang digunakan.  Metode fermentasi goyangan berpengaruh menurunkan produksi selulosa pada  isolat SLK-1 dan merubah struktur permukaan yaitu susunan mikrofibril lebih renggang dan membentuk gelembung.   Kata Kunci: bakteri asam asetat, optimasi, fermentasi, selulosa bakteri, penggoyangan

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Laju pertumbuhan penduduk dan perkembangan kawasan industri di beberapa kota besar di Indonesia menimbulkan masalah limbah yang menyebabkan pencemaran air oleh logam berat. Aktifitas masyarakat perkotaan menyebabkan produksi limbah rumah tangga dan Industri meningkat, dan dibuang ke lingkungan tanpa pengolahan yang baik. Beberapa perairan yang tercemar logam berat misalnya, Perairan pesisir Teluk Jakarta, perairan pesisir Pulau Panjang Jepara, perairan muara sungai Babon dan Seringin di Semarang dan perairan Pulau Kabaena di Sulawesi Tenggara. Melihat masalah pencemaran perairan pesisir oleh logam berat maka ulasan ilmiah ini penting untuk ditulis. Beberapa logam berat yang dapat dijumpai di perairan pesisir dan laut, dan berbahaya bagi biota laut adalah merkuri (Hg), timbal (Pb),  kadmium (Cd), arsen (As), selenium (Se), kobalt (Co), nikel (Ni), tembaga (Cu), kromium (Cr), seng (Zn). Sifat logam-logam tersebut sangat berbahaya sehingga perlu untuk dilakukan suatu tindakan yang tepat untuk membersihkan logam-logam berbahaya tersebut. Fitoremediasi lahan mangrove merupakan sebuah strategi yang tepat dalam membersihkan perairan tercemar logam berat karena tumbuhan mangrove jenis Avicennia Marina dan Rhizophora spp., memiliki kemampuan menyerap logam berat pada badan air dan sedimen pada perairan yang tercemar. Hutan mangrove di Indonesia secara perlahan-lahan dari tahun ke tahun luasannya selalu berkurang. Penebangan oleh masyarakat, pemanfaatan lahan sebagai daerah pertambakan, dan pemukiman serta kepentingan masyarakat terhadap penggunaan hutan mangrove meningkat, membuat kita kehilangan ekosistem mangrove secara perlahan-lahan. Saat ini ekologi kita mengalami masalah pencemaran sehingga upaya-upaya melestarikan ekosisitem-ekosistem yang telah rusak sangat penting. Pelestarian hutan mangrove juga merupakan satu hal yang sangat penting guna memulihkan kawasan perairan pesisir dan laut yang tercemar oleh logam berat. Pemerintah, ilmuan dan kaum akademisi serta masyarakat Indonesia seluruhnya perlu kerjasama yang baik guna melestarikan hutan mangrove di perairan pesisir Indonesia, terutama pada pesisir pantai daerah tercemar logam berat.   Kata kunci : bambu pencemaran perairan, logam berat, pelestarian hutan mangrove,  perairan Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the difference between the application of learning cycle 5E and discovery learning to the achievement of science process skills and cognitive outcomes and knowing a good model in trained the science process skills and improve cognitive outcomes of students class X SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali. The research is comparative with quantitative approach. Sample of class selected by cluster random sampling. Learning is carried out in two classes by applying the learning cycle 5E and discovery learning. Data collection techniques use tests, observations, and documentation. Normality and homogeneity test are performed as a requirement of hypothesis test. Hypothesis test used is t test with 5% significance level. Descriptive statistical test is conducted to know the average achievement of student cognitive outcomes. The research procedure includes planning, implementation and data analysis. The results showed a significant difference in the skills of the science process between the implementation of the learning cycle 5E with the discovery learning. Significant differences exist in the skills of observing, interpreting, experimenting and communicating. Scientific process skills on the aspects of grouping, formulating problems, preparing hypotheses do not show any significant differences. The insignificant differences were also shown in the students cognitive outcomes. The skills of observing, grouping, composing hypotheses, interpreting, experimenting, communicating, and cognitive outcomes have a higher achievement in the learning cycle 5E. The skill of formulating the problem has a higher achievement in the discovery learning. The conclusion is there is difference between the application of learning cycle 5E with discovery learning to the achievement of science process skill and cognitive outcomes of grade X students of SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali. Abstract

ABSTRAKKajian ini bertujuan memaparkan bentuk-bentuk (perforrmen) learning artifact pada proses pembelajaran praktikum sistematika tumbuhan, relevansi peran learning artifact pada assesmen proses dan hasil belajar, kedudukan artefak belajar dalam penyelenggaraan pembelajaran aktif/partisipatif. Kajian didasarkan pada review literatur dan data studi kasus pembelajaran di program studi biologi pendidikan biologi Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta pada semester genap tahun 2008-2009. Bentuk-bentuk dan jenis learning artifact bervariasi dan dapat dikelompokkan menurut kategori tinjauan. Artefak belajar mahasiswa/siswa berperan sangat penting untuk assessment aspek proses belajar. Nilai korelasi yang sangat signifikan antar beberapa jenis artefak menunjukkan stimulasi ekspresi jenis artefak belajar yang dituntut oleh desain pembelajaran relatif tepat sasaran. Nilai korelasi yang sangat signifikan antara beberapa artefak belajar dengan nilai perkuliahan menunjukkan bahwa artefak belajar mahasiswa juga dapat digunakan unhrk assesmen aspek hasil belajar. Desain pembelajaran aktif perlu menentukan jenis-jenis artefak belajar mahasiswa/siswa yang perlu di hasilkan selama proses pembelajaran dan disepakati melalui kontrak belajar.Kata kunci: learnng artifact; pembelajaran; sistematika tumbuhan; pembelajaran aktif

Abstract

Integrated management of organic farming is an agriculture management system with an effort in developing the organic basis of cropping system to improve soil health, and pest & disease controlling to achieve sustainable productivity. Integrated management model of organic horticulture can be done alternatively on narrow land thereby intercropping and companion of several crops in order to improve yield. For instance, planting of different plants families such as herbs & flower in one area such as kenikir and tagetes to reduce the population of pest and to improve natural enemies population.

Abstract

Abstract- The research that has been conducted aimed to determine whether there are differences in the effect of light intensity to adaptation Ceriops tagal Lamk. in Bedul and Grajagan area, Alas Purwo National Park. The method used in the research is descriptive method. Leaf samples were selected randomly from 5 different individual plants at each location, Bedul and Grajagan  area. The criteria of plants as sample are plants that grow in the less and much exposed by sunlightdirectly area. The research has been conducted aimed to determine anatomy of leaf, namely the shape and density of stomata. The results showed that both forms of stomata in the study area have the same type, which is parasitic. The difference on the effect of light intensity in both areas of research on the anatomy character of Ceriops tagal Lamk., shows that the number density of stomata in the Grajagan area is larger than the Bedul area.Keywords : Ceriops tagal Lamk., adaptation, light

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compare student analytical thinking that has learned by cooperative learning model everyone is teacher here method with guided discovery learning model mind maps method. This research is a quasi experimental research with the research design used postest only with non – equivalent control grup design. The population of this research is all of students grade X SMAN Kebakkramat academic year 2015/2016 that consist of ten classes. The sample of this research used three classes. The I experiment class has learned by cooperative learning model everyone is teacher here method, the II experiment class has learned by guided discovery learning model mind maps method, and control class has learned by conventional model lecture method. Technique of data collecting used test, observation, quissionare, and documentation. The data is analyzed by used one way ANOVA test with level of significance 5% (α=0,05) and real difference Tukey test. The research procedures are preparation, implementation and data analyzing. The results showed that there is significant differences of student analytical thinking who has learned by two different model (Sig.=0,000<α=0,05). The implementation of cooperative learning model everyone is teacher here method resulted higher student analytical thinking compared with the implementation guided discovery learning model mind maps method.Keywords:        student analytical thinking, cooperative learning, guided discovery learning

Abstract

 Artikel ini memaparkan hasil penelitian tentang pemanfaatan Asesmen Portofolio oleh guru untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Sains bagi siswa kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar. Untuk menentukan prestasi belajar siswa dalam Sains  guru menggunakan fakta-fakta tentang siswa selain tes/ulangan juga non tes. Dalam menggunakan Asesmen Portofolio guru banyak mengalami kendala seperti kesibukan guru saat memeriksa dan menilai tugas siswa dan mengarsipkannya, kesulitan guru saat merencanakan, menentukan tugas siswa. Hal ini dapat segera diatasi dengan meningkatkan disiplin guru dan siswa. Disiplin bagi guru terutama pada ketepatan waktu dan kejelasan tugas yang diberikan kepada siswa berikut sanksi bagi siswa yang melanggarnya dan penghargaan bagi yang mematuhinya. Disiplin bagi siswa adalah kesiapan dan ketepatan waktu untuk mengerjakan tugas sesuai dengan kesepakatan bersama antara guru dengan siswa. Dengan melakukan kolaborasi dengan peneliti, guru berperan sebagai guru sekaligus juga sebagai peneliti menerapkan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), guru dengan segera dapat melakukan refleksi diri  berdasarkan hasil pengamatan dan diskusi dengan peneliti Sehingga siswa akan terbiasa dengan belajar efektif terutama pada pelajaran Sains  yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajarnya. Kata kunci : Asesmen Portofolio, penilaian

Abstract

This study aims to produce a pocket book that is valid, practical and effective. This research includes a descriptive research with development of learning tools using ADDIE development model. Subjects in this research is a pocket book on the Respiratory System subject with respondents two professors of Biology UNM, a biology teacher and 35 students of grade XI IPA2 of SMA Negeri 1 Tamalatea Jeneponto. Assessment instrument consists of three, namely (1) instrument validity of a questionnaire assessment validation pocket book (2) practicality instrument in the form of questionnaire responses teacher and student questionnaire responses, and (3) the effectiveness of the instrument in the form of test results of learning. The results showed pocket book declared fit for use by an average of validity of three validators was equal to 4.5 (valid). Teacher's response analysis was very positive with a value of 89,89% and a very good response from students by 89.91% as well as the learning results of all students had passed the standard of learning outcome. This research shows that the pocket book was classified as valid, practical, and effective.Keywords: teaching materials, pocket book, respiratory system, learning results

Abstract

Studying Biologi in class X at SMA KORPRI Banjarmasin is still done by conceptual. Applying Curriculum 2013 in studying uses Scientific approaching with studying model such as PBM, Inquiry, and etc. This research aim is to descript other study result of subconcept Eubacteria part in wife by applying PBM and Inquiry model. The method used in comparation with cross variant. The population in this research was all students in MIA class X SMA KORPRI Banjarmasin. Research sample assigned for two classes, as X MIA 1 and X MIA 2 with 27 people each which was taken by Purpossive sampling. Colletion data technic uses cognitive studying result test (pretest-posttest) and observation. Research result shows that (1) Studying result  with PBM model covers cognitive studying result these is difference between pretest and posttest, affective (good), LKS result (good) and product (good). (2) Inquriry model studying result there is (good), psychomotor (good) and LKS result (good), and (3) There is difference in cognitive studying result by PBM model with Inquiry, posttest avarange  PBM model = 81.3 and Inquiry model = 78.5. Based on t-Test is got t-Count 2.131 > t Table 2.021, in other hand psychomotor studying result and LKS result there is no defference. Keywords: studying result, PBM, inquiry, Eubacteria
