Abstract

Introduction: Food safety is an effort to prevent food contamination that threatens health. Foodborne disease remains a global issue, including in Indonesia, as seen in poisoning cases in Bekasi and Cikarang. Street food is still at risk of being unhygienic, as many vendors neglect hygiene due to limited information, capital, and guidance. Knowledge and attitude are important factors in maintaining personal hygiene. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between food safety knowledge and attitudes with the personal hygiene of street food vendors in Pasir Gombong Village. Methods: This study employed an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 50 street food vendors in Pasir Gombong Village. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and the Chi-Square test was applied to examine variable relationships. Results and Discussion: The statistical test showed a p-value of 1.000 for the relationship between knowledge and personal hygiene, and 0.170 for the relationship between attitude and personal hygiene (p > 0.05). These results indicate no significant relationship. Conclusion: Most respondents were male, middle-aged, well-educated, experienced in trading, and had middle to high income, but had never attended food safety training. Although respondents generally had good knowledge, attitudes, and hygiene practices, statistical analysis showed no significant association between knowledge or attitudes and personal hygiene

Abstract

Introduction: Nurses are the frontline of hospital services and are required to remain effective despite work pressures, family dynamics, and social demands. The existing gap in productivity highlights the need to strengthen transformational resilience–based performance. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the relationship between transformational resilience–based performance and work productivity among inpatient nurses at Majalengka Regional General Hospital. Method: A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted, involving all inpatient nurses as the population (N = 259). A total of 157 nurses were selected using proportionate random sampling. Data analysis consisted of univariate (frequency distribution) and bivariate (2×2 chi-square test). Result and Discussion: Results showed that 62.4% of nurses had good resilience, and 76.4% demonstrated good productivity. There was a significant association between resilience and productivity (p = 0.010) with an odds ratio (OR) of 2.83 (95% CI: 1.33–6.03), indicating that nurses with good resilience were 2.8 times more likely to demonstrate good productivity. Conclusion: These findings emphasize the importance of evaluating and adjusting workloads to prevent excessive stress that could reduce resilience and nurse performance

Abstract

Introduction: Bullying among adolescents remains prevalent, especially in Palu City, which from 2018–2022 had the highest violence rates in Central Sulawesi. Incidents often occur in schools like SMP Negeri 14 and 7. Coping mechanisms particularly maladjustment and self-control play crucial roles in how adolescents respond to psychosocial stress and bullying. Objective: To analyze the effects of maladjustment and self-control on bullying coping mechanisms among adolescents. Method: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted among 440 students at SMP Negeri 14 Palu. Using proportionate stratified random sampling, 81 respondents were selected. Data were analyzed through univariate analysis and logistic regression. Result and Discussion: Simultaneous analysis showed maladjustment and self-control significantly influence bullying coping mechanisms among adolescents at SMP Negeri 14 Palu. Their combination better predicts coping than models without predictors, explaining strategy variation. Consistent with the Transactional Model of Stress and Coping, high maladjustment and low self-control heighten negative appraisals, limit emotional regulation, and increase the likelihood of maladaptive responses such as avoidance, aggression, or withdrawal when facing bullying. Conclusions: Maladjustment increases adolescents’ vulnerability to the impacts of bullying, whereas self-control protects by promoting regulated emotions, rational thinking, and adaptive coping strategies in dealing with social pressures.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV co-infection remains a critical problem in public health, particularly in Indonesia, which carries a high disease burden. A preliminary literature review reveals a significant gap in research from Indonesian institutions, highlighting the urgent need for a systematic analysis of the existing scientific landscape. This bibliometric study, conducted using the Scopus database from 2010 to 2023, aims to map publication trends, key contributors, and emerging research themes related to TB-HIV. The analysis shows a consistent increase in publications over the last decade, with research driven by a strong collaborative network led by highly prolific authors and dominated by Brazilian institutions. Visualizations indicate a shift in research focus from specific HIV-related topics to broader aspects of TB, drug resistance, and patient demographics. Despite the diversification of global contributions with a growing presence from countries in Africa and Asia, Indonesia's representation remains limited. This presents a compelling opportunity for Indonesian researchers to increase their involvement and contribute to the global scholarly discourse on this issue, addressing a national and international health challenge.
