Abstract

The main problem that is a challenge in character formation through civic education is the increasing development of the digital era which changes the mindset and character of students. Therefore, value education in civics is needed to shape the character of elementary school students in the current digital era. This study uses a literature study method by searching for sources such as scientific articles, journals, and documents related to research problems. The data used are secondary data obtained from relevant books, articles, and journals. Data collection techniques include literature studies, listening techniques, and note-taking techniques. Through literature studies and empirical data analysis from several studies, it was found that the role of value education in civics has an important role in building the moral character of students in the digital era. Not only is it able to form good student character, but it also prepares students to face various challenges that arise due to negative content such as cyberbullying, hoaxes, gadget addiction, pornographic sites, and other unethical behavior. In the midst of rapid technological developments, civics aims not only to make students academically intelligent, but also to form a strong, creative, critical, and active moral character. Civic Education provides students with the skills to develop attitudes of tolerance, peace, harmony, and respect for diversity. Value education in Civic Education (PKn) plays a very important role in shaping students' character, especially in the challenging digital era. Digital technology provides broad access to information, but also has negative impacts. Therefore, a structured and innovative approach is needed in learning PKn, which not only educates students about the values ??of Pancasila, but also helps them develop digital literacy and online ethics. The role of families, teachers, and the community is also very crucial in supporting students' character education.

Abstract

Mindful parenting is a parenting approach that emphasizes mindfulness and attention when interacting with children. This approach aims to improve the quality of the relationship between parents and children and reduce stress in parenting. This study explores mindful parenting from a cultural and social perspective in both countries with different cultural backgrounds and values. This study aims to identify and analyze differences in the implementation of mindful parenting between Malaysia and Indonesia. This study used a quantitative survey method, collecting data from many parents in Malaysia and Indonesia. The questionnaire used in this study was designed to measure various aspects of mindful parenting, including parental self-awareness, mindfulness in the present moment, and the ability to manage emotions in parenting situations. The data collected were analyzed using statistical techniques to identify significant differences in implementing mindful parenting in both countries. The results showed variations in how parents in Malaysia and Indonesia implemented the principles of mindful parenting. Cultural factors, social norms, and traditional parenting practices influenced the implementation of mindful parenting in each country. These findings provide important insights for practitioners, researchers, and policymakers in developing more effective and culturally appropriate mindful parenting training programs. Thus, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of mindful parenting and its implications in child rearing in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Abstract

Teacher work motivation is an essential factor in the success of the teaching and learning process. However, in Kedu District, Temanggung Regency, low teacher motivation was found due to a lack of support from the principal, ineffective policies, and an unconducive work environment. Teachers who do not feel supported or appreciated perform less than optimal. This study aims to examine the influence of the role of the principal, job satisfaction, and organizational climate on teacher work motivation. This study involved all public elementary school teachers in Kedu District as the population, totalling 196 people, with a selected sample of 132 respondents. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and documentation. This study has undergone a validity test with Pearson correlation and a data reliability test with Cronbach alpha. Data were analyzed using descriptive methods, assumption tests, and hypothesis testing through simple regression analysis and multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed that the role of the principal influences teacher work motivation, job satisfaction influences teacher work motivation, and organizational climate influences teacher work motivation. Simultaneously, the role of the principal, job satisfaction, and organizational climate significantly affect teacher work motivation. This study provides suggestions so that principals can establish good relationships with teachers. In addition, there is a need for teacher career development and welfare programs to be carried out consistently.

Abstract

The phenomenon of radicalism among teenagers in Indonesia is increasingly worrying, so Pancasila education is one solution to prevent the spread of extreme ideology. This study aims to explore how Pancasila education in elementary schools can play a role in building students' character and preventing radicalization. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that the application of Pancasila values ??in the elementary school curriculum can foster an attitude of tolerance and social awareness among students. Through interactive learning methods, such as group discussions and educational games, students find it easier to understand and internalize these values ??in their daily lives. In addition, the role of teachers as role models is very important in instilling Pancasila values ??in students. Teachers are expected to be able to create a learning environment that supports the development of positive character. However, challenges remain, especially related to the negative influence of social media that can influence students' thinking. Pancasila education must be taught consistently and innovatively to form a strong young generation in facing radical ideology. In conclusion, Pancasila education is not just a subject, but is the foundation for creating a safe and harmonious society. By instilling the noble values ??of Pancasila from an early age, it is hoped that future generations can grow into tolerant individuals who appreciate diversity.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at SMA Negeri 3 Kepulauan Aru with the aim of evaluating the planning, implementation, and development of educational activities at the school. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through interviews with the principal, teachers, and school committee as well as a review of documents related to school planning, curriculum, and learning activities. The results of the study indicate that educational activity planning is carried out through the preparation of the School Development Plan (RPS) and involves various related parties. The curriculum implemented includes the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum, adjusted to the school's vision and mission. However, several obstacles were still found in the implementation, including limited teaching staff and lack of attention to extracurricular activities. Supervision by the principal is carried out routinely to ensure the quality of learning and improve teacher professionalism. Overall, SMA Negeri 3 Kepulauan Aru has implemented SBM, but there is room for improvement in terms of community involvement and optimization of learning activities.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes at SMA Negeri I Fatuleu are attributed to several factors that hinder learning development. Observations and interviews with Economics teachers revealed that many students still exhibit habits such as lack of attention, difficulty concentrating, frequent daydreaming, and failing to complete assigned homework. Additionally, some students consistently submit assignments late or fail to submit them altogether. This study examines the influence of family environment and peers on learning achievement, with 12 statements for family and 13 for peers, all valid and reliable. A prerequisite analysis was conducted and deemed feasible. Using random sampling, 50 respondents were selected. The study also applies Multiple Regression Analysis and supports various hypothesis tests. The regression analysis shows that the family environment and peers have a positive and significant effect on learning achievement, as indicated by the equation Y = 4.729 + 0.638x1 + 0.427x2. The constant value of 4.729 means that if both variables are zero, Y is 4.729. The family environment's coefficient of 0.638 signifies a significant influence with a Sig. value of 0.008 (<0.05). The study concludes that both family environment and peers positively and significantly influence learning achievement, with family providing motivation and peers offering support and collaboration.

Abstract

The ability of students to find deductive and inductive paragraphs is still low, which is caused by inappropriate learning methods and limited intensive reading time allocation. This study aims to determine the relationship between intensive reading ability and the ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs in grade XI students of SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. This study uses a quantitative correlation method with statistical analysis. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between intensive reading ability and the ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs. The majority of respondents have sufficient intensive reading ability, as many as 16 people (51.6%), and the ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs is also quite good, as many as 24 people (77.4%). The correlation coefficient value found was 0.498, greater than rtable of 0.355, with a significance of 0.004 which is smaller than the probability value of 0.05. In addition, the tcount value of 3.096 is greater than ttable of 2.045. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that grade XI students of SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan generally have quite good intensive reading ability. The relationship between intensive reading ability and the ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs is also significant. This study confirms that efforts to improve intensive reading ability can have a positive impact on students' ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs.

Abstract

Instilling moral values in elementary school students is an important foundation in the formation of the character of the younger generation. Civic Education, as one of the compulsory subjects in elementary school, has great potential in instilling moral and ethical values in students. However, the effectiveness of Civic Education in achieving this goal still needs to be studied further. This research method is a conceptual qualitative research using the Library Research method, which is carried out by collecting Secondary Data in the form of data from scientific articles or scientific papers, research journals, and reports related to the chosen topic. The results of the study indicate that Civic Education has a significant role in instilling moral values in elementary school students. The effectiveness of instilling these values is influenced by several factors, including: (1) interactive and experience-based learning methods, (2) teacher role models in implementing moral values, (3) integration of moral values in daily activities at school, and (4) collaboration between schools and parents in strengthening the values taught. Civic Education has proven to be effective in instilling moral values in elementary school students. However, this success depends on a holistic approach involving various parties and the right learning methods. This study recommends the need to develop a more contextual civics curriculum and improve teacher competence in integrating moral values in learning.

Abstract

Integration of digital technology in Pancasila Education learning can strengthen the development of the Pancasila Student Profile which includes six dimensions: faith and devotion to God Almighty, noble character, independence, mutual cooperation, critical thinking, and global diversity. This article aims to analyze the impact of the use of digital technology in Pancasila Education learning on strengthening student character based on the Pancasila Student profile. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach in elementary schools. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of learning documents. Integration of digital technology can increase student participation, facilitate collaboration, and strengthen understanding of Pancasila values. However, obstacles such as limited access to technology and teachers' digital skills need to be considered. Digital technology can play a significant role in shaping the character of Pancasila Students, but its implementation requires comprehensive support in terms of infrastructure and teacher training.

Abstract

The inconsistency between planning and budgeting documents at the regional apparatus level is a key issue in Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan, including at the Katingan Regency Health Office. This study uses a qualitative approach to be able to explain the results of the analysis carried out quantitatively in narrative form. This study was conducted at the Katingan District Health Office, with the analysis method using the Planning and Budgeting Consolidation Matrix (MKPP) to assess the level of consistency, descriptive analysis to analyze the results of interviews and documents of performance achievement assessment results at the Katingan District Health Office. The results of this study indicate that the achievement of financial performance as assessed by the amount of budget saved was in the 2020 budget year. As for the achievement of the performance of the implementation of SPM Health Affairs, the type of infant health service has the highest average criteria for the 3-year observation period. The consistency analysis between the RPJMD and the Katingan District Health Office Strategic Plan shows the lowest level of consistency in 2018 and the highest in 2020 or a very good level of consistency. The consistency analysis between the Katingan District Health Office Strategic Plan and Work Plan shows the lowest level of consistency in 2018 and the highest in 2020 or a very good level of consistency. The analysis of consistency between the RKPD and Renja of the Katingan Regency Health Office shows the lowest level of consistency in 2018 and the highest in 2020 or a very good level of consistency. In this study, factors were found that could affect the consistency/inconsistency of planning and budgeting at the Katingan Regency Health Office, namely: (1) Implementation of e-Government that has not been integrated between the planning and budgeting processes, HR readiness, and the availability of data and information that is not yet accurate for policy formulation and planning; (2) Lack of ability and quality of Health Office HR in planning and budgeting, (3) Changes in regulations and (3) the influence of the budget political process is still strong.
