Abstract

Early childhood character education is crucial in shaping individuals with tolerant, inclusive, and moderate attitudes, especially in a pluralistic society. One of the instruments that can be used to instill the values ??of religious moderation in children is Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which is implemented in early childhood education institutions (PAUD). This study aims to analyze the role of PAI in building moderate character in early childhood at PAUD SPS Teratai 23 Kencong, focusing on applying religious moderation values, such as tolerance, respect for differences, and cooperation. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study at PAUD SPS Teratai 23 Kencong, which examines learning activities that integrate the values ??of moderation in children's daily lives. The study results indicate that the PAI program at PAUD SPS Teratai 23 Kencong has succeeded in teaching moderation values ??through various activities involving children's moral, social, and spiritual aspects. However, several challenges are faced, including a lack of parental understanding of diverse moderation, the influence of social media that can introduce extreme views, and differences of opinion among teachers. This study concludes that collaboration between schools, parents, and the community is essential to ensure the consistent implementation of moderation values so that moderation-based education can shape children's characters to be more inclusive and able to live harmoniously in a diverse society.

Abstract

Mathematics learning on exponential materials still faces various obstacles, especially regarding students' understanding of concepts and problem-solving skills. This can be seen from the low student learning outcomes and lack of active involvement in the learning process. The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model is one approach that can stimulate students' high-level thinking in real-world problem-oriented situations, including learning how to learn. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subject of the survey was class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Ratahan, which was divided into two groups: an experimental class that applied the PBL model assisted by guided LKPD and a control class that used conventional learning. Guided LKPDs are designed to help students discover concepts through their activities and provide hands-on experience. The results show that the application of the guided LKPD-assisted PBL model has a positive influence on student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the increase in the average score of the experimental class, which is higher than that of the control class. The PBL model also encourages students to be actively involved in problem-solving, think critically, and develop independent learning skills. Applying the Problem-Based Learning model assisted by guided LKPD effectively improves student learning outcomes in exponential materials. This learning model helps students understand mathematical concepts and develops higher-order thinking skills and problem-solving abilities. This study recommends using the PBL model assisted by guided LKPD as an effective alternative to mathematics learning.

Abstract

Teachers play a vital role in the education system because they are the ones who are actually responsible for educating students in the classroom. To a large extent, student achievement and teacher satisfaction determine the quality of education. The quality of learning and student learning outcomes are directly influenced by the level of motivation of instructors, which in turn influences their level of enthusiasm when carrying out their duties. With this study, we will better understand how the principals of Tunjungseto Elementary School can inspire their teachers to do their best work. The primary methods of qualitative data collection for this study were interviews, participant observation, and written notes. The study showed that the involvement of the principal in providing ongoing guidance, incentives, and support has a significant impact on the growth of teacher motivation to perform well. Good principals know what they are doing when it comes to encouraging professional development for teachers and cultivating a fun workplace. Motivating teachers to do their best work is an area where principals can make a big difference. To foster an atmosphere that supports teacher professional development, principals must offer clear guidance, inspiration, and ongoing support. If para-administrators are successful in making teachers feel valued and supported in their work, it will show in their motivation and performance in the classroom. How effective principals are in inspiring their staff to perform well depends on a number of factors, including consistent and clear communication, support from management, and adequate resources. Schools with principals who can foster an environment of open communication and who are willing to support improvements in school facilities tend to be happier.
