Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of a QRIS-based payment gateway through mobile banking applications and its impact on transaction smoothness among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in coastal tourism areas of Kupang City. The increasing adoption of cashless payment systems has encouraged MSMEs to integrate digital transactions into daily business activities, particularly in tourism-based economic settings characterized by high transaction intensity. This research employs a qualitative descriptive–interpretative approach, with data collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and documentation involving 100 MSME actors located in Lasiana Beach, Oesapa Beach, Kelapa Lima Beach, and Tedys Beach.Data analysis was conducted using NVivo software following the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that QRIS implementation improves transaction speed, efficiency, and convenience, while reducing dependence on cash transactions. MSME actors also perceive QRIS as a secure payment system due to its integration with formal banking institutions. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy, unstable internet connectivity, and insufficient technical assistance hinder optimal utilization. This study highlights the importance of combining digital payment adoption with continuous education and infrastructure support to ensure sustainable digital transformation of MSMEs.

The influence of pedagogical and professional competence on teacher performance through innovation in economics learning as a moderating variable in senior high schools in Makassar City. This study used a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the causal relationship between variables. The results showed that professional competence had the greatest influence on learning innovation and teacher performance, followed by pedagogical competence. Learning innovation acted as a moderating variable that strengthened the influence of teacher competence on performance, although its contribution was relatively small. These results emphasize the importance of developing teacher competence in improving performance in senior high schools in Makassar City. There was a positive relationship between pedagogical and professional competence and teacher performance, and learning innovation as a moderating variable that influenced teacher performance. These findings emphasize the need for increased training and competency development for teachers to be able to innovate in learning. In addition, increasing learning innovation can be an effective strategy in improving student motivation and learning outcomes. This study provides important implications for educational policymakers to support the continuous strengthening of teacher competence. This study analyzes the strategy of Danantara, a state-owned financial holding company, in supporting this national ambition. Through a bibliometric analysis of relevant literature (100 articles, 980 citations, h-index 14) using VOSviewer and a review of the proposed strategic framework, this study identifies key thematic clusters: finance, halal industry, financial literacy, MSMEs, digital Islamic banking, and stakeholder engagement. The findings highlight Danantara's central role as a candidate for an Islamic Financial District (IFD). A comprehensive five-pillar strategy is considered crucial: 1) strengthening the ecosystem and institutions; 2) developing world-class physical and digital infrastructure centered in Danantara; 3) improving the quality of human resources and attracting global talent; 4) developing competitive product innovations; and 5) developing strong international markets and promotions. Abstract

The development of information technology in the past five years has significantly impacted the way schools communicate and attract prospective students, with social media, websites, and digital platforms becoming the primary sources of information for parents and students. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital promotion and school image on school choice decisions through interest as a mediating variable at SMK Negeri 2 Pematang Siantar. Digital promotion, which involves a series of marketing activities utilizing digital media, can build closer relationships with audiences and influence school choice decisions. School image, formed through the experiences, information, and achievements displayed, plays a significant role in shaping prospective students' perceptions of the quality of education offered. This study used a quantitative method with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis to test the direct and indirect effects between the variables studied. The results showed that digital promotion had a positive and significant effect on student choice decisions and interest. School image also had a positive effect on interest, although it was not significant on the decision to choose directly. Student interest proved to be a significant mediating variable between digital promotion, school image, and choice decisions. These findings provide important contributions to school communication strategies, particularly in enhancing digital promotion and strengthening the school's image to attract new prospective students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job training and work ethic on teacher performance with work motivation as a mediating variable at State Vocational High School (SMK) 1 Stabat. The background of the study departs from the importance of improving vocational teacher performance through strengthening training, work ethic, and work motivation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of all ASN at SMK Negeri 1 Stabat totaling 89 people (PNS and PPPK), all of whom are used as samples (population research). Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS. The results showed that job training had a positive but insignificant effect on teacher performance, but a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Work ethic had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance and work motivation. Work motivation also had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. Indirectly, job training through work motivation did not have a significant effect on teacher performance, while work ethic through work motivation had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The R² values of 0.811 for work motivation and 0.862 for teacher performance indicate that the model is able to explain a high proportion of the variance in both dependent variables. This finding confirms that work ethic and work motivation are key factors in improving teacher performance, while on-the-job training plays a greater role in boosting work motivation than directly influencing performance.

Abstract

Traditional gender constructs often adhere to a patriarchal system that places men in a position of dominance over women. These unequal relations occur in almost all social strata of society, including among the nobility. This study attempts to explore the patterns of gender roles that were formed within the families of the Priangan regents during the Dutch colonial period from 1800 to 1942. This study uses a descriptive qualitative case study method, collecting data from various literature in books, journals, newspapers, and websites related to the theme, which is then analyzed through a gender lens. The results show that men have a dominant role in family life, reflected in the rule that only men can become bureaucratic leaders, family leaders, and are free to practice polygamy. Meanwhile, women played the role of symbols of family honor who were tasked with appearing elegant, educating children, and being responsible for traditional activities such as celebrations or feasts. These gender relations were influenced by the construction of Javanese traditional values through colonization during the Islamic Mataram Kingdom era, Dutch rules, and Islamic values embraced by the Priangan nobility, which ultimately created a patriarchal gender ideology pattern that tended to marginalize women.
