Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of performance appraisal and motivation on job satisfaction in the A team of the reduction section of PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum). In this study, 60 employees were used using census or total sampling techniques. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to respondents using a Likert scale measurement scale. The data that has been collected is then processed with the SPSS 25.00 application by conducting validity and reliability tests on the research instrument. Furthermore, normality, multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity tests were carried out. Then multiple linear regression analysis tests were carried out and for hypothesis testing using partial tests (t) and simultaneous tests (F). Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it is found that performance appraisal has no effect on job satisfaction, motivation affects job satisfaction and performance appraisal and motivation have a joint effect (simultaneously) on job satisfaction.

This study explores the role of competence, organizational culture, and tauhid in shaping work motivation among employees of consulting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pekanbaru City. Using a qualitative literature review approach, this article synthesizes findings from recent empirical and theoretical studies to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these three factors interact to influence employee motivation. The review highlights that competence, encompassing knowledge, skills, and abilities, is a fundamental driver of motivation, enabling employees to perform their tasks effectively and with confidence. Organizational culture, characterized by shared values, norms, and practices, creates an environment that can either foster or hinder motivation depending on its alignment with employee expectations and organizational goals. Tauhid, representing the integration of Islamic monotheistic values, is identified as a unique motivational factor within the context of Indonesian MSMEs, promoting a sense of purpose, ethical conduct, and spiritual fulfillment at work. The synthesis reveals that the interplay between competence, organizational culture, and tauhid not only enhances intrinsic motivation but also contributes to sustained organizational performance and employee well-being. The study concludes that a holistic approach, which integrates professional competence, supportive organizational culture, and spiritual values, is essential for fostering high work motivation in consulting MSMEs. Recommendations for future research include empirical investigations into the practical implementation of tauhid in organizational settings and its measurable impact on motivation and performance.

This study investigates how students receiving the Indonesia Smart Card Scholarship (KIP-K) Program D4 in DKI Jakarta have the influence of financial support, educational motivation, and family support on timely graduation. Data were collected using a quantitative survey design and quantitative approach. Questionnaires were distributed to 31 respondents and analyzed using multiple linear regression. Validity, reliability, and classical assumptions such as normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests were the analysis tools. The results showed that all three variables, both partially and simultaneously, had a significant effect on timely graduation. Students have found that getting financial support helps them reduce the stress associated with their education costs. In addition, family support helps students maintain their academic spirit, and increases their academic motivation. It is expected that these findings will provide insight strategic for the development of scholarship policies and increasing the effectiveness of the KIP-K program in Indonesia.

This study aims to analyze the influence of live streaming and online customer reviews on purchasing decisions for Hana Fashion products at TikTok Shop with consumer trust as an intervening variable. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection through an online questionnaire from 96 respondents who have made purchases at the store. Data analysis was carried out using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of the study showed that live streaming and online customer reviews had a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Online customer reviews were also shown to have a positive effect on consumer trust, but consumer trust did not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions and was unable to mediate the relationship between the two independent variables and purchasing decisions. These findings indicate that although trust is important in a digital context, purchasing decisions at TikTok Shop are more influenced by visual content and direct reviews from other users. Therefore, business actors need to optimize live streaming and customer review strategies in increasing purchasing decisions on social media-based e-commerce platforms.

Culinary small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy, contributing to GDP, employment, and community income. This dissertation research is significant as it identifies sustainability challenges resulting from low komitmen terhadap organisasi, influenced by variables such as perceived organizational support and creativity, with work motivation acting as a mediating factor. Moreover, there has been a lack of specific studies addressing this issue. The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of the three variables on komitmen terhadap organisasi and to formulate strategic approaches to enhance the sustainability of culinary SMEs in Bogor City.Seven hypotheses are proposed, examining the influence of perceived organizational support and creativity on work motivation and komitmen terhadap organisasi, as well as the mediating role of work motivation in these relationships. The novelty of this research lies in its strategic framework for enhancing komitmen terhadap organisasi to ensure business sustainability and its integration of the three exogenous variables into a validated analytical model. A mixed-method approach was employed, involving 230 employee respondents from Bogor City, collected between December 2023 and July 2024. The findings reveal that perceived organizational support affects komitmen terhadap organisasi through the mediation of work motivation. Additionally, both creativity and work motivation have a direct influence on komitmen terhadap organisasi. Furthermore, five strategic recommendations were developed to support the sustainability of culinary SMEs. It is expected that the results of this dissertation can serve as a foundation and guide for academics, entrepreneurs, and policymakers in formulating more effective policies to improve the sustainability and competitiveness of culinary SMEs at both the national (Bogor and Indonesia) and international levels.

This study explores the growing concerns surrounding the effects of climate change on coastal zones, focusing specifically on coastal erosion and sea-level rise. Coastal regions, being dynamic interfaces between land and ocean, are increasingly vulnerable due to anthropogenic climate change. The research highlights the natural processes contributing to erosion, evaluates the extent of sea-level rise over recent decades, and analyzes how climatic factors intensify these phenomena. Through the use of satellite imagery, historical data, and case studies from different global coastlines, the paper assesses the socio-economic and ecological consequences of these environmental shifts. Policy recommendations are provided for sustainable coastal management and mitigation strategies.

This study examines the application of the principle of non-retroactivity by judges in Indonesian industrial relations courts, specifically in cases of termination of employment (PHK) arising after the enactment of the Job Creation Law (UU Cipta Kerja). The research analyzes how courts balance the application of the new law with the legal principles protecting workers' rights and ensuring legal certainty. By examining relevant court decisions and legal doctrines, the study finds that judges generally adhere to the principle of non-retroactivity, applying the labor laws in effect at the time the cause of action arose (the PHK event). This adherence upholds constitutional rights and prevents unfair application of the Job Creation Law to pre-existing disputes. However, challenges remain in ensuring consistent application and interpretation, highlighting the need for clear guidelines and ongoing judicial education to promote legal certainty and fairness in industrial relations disputes.
