Abstract

This action research is aimed to improve learning outcomes of electricity and magnetism subject throughincreased activity of students in preparing for and carrying out presentations on technologies that apply theconcept of electrostatic. Presentation topic is selected in the application of the concept of electrostatic in thetechnology products and natural phenomena that is familiar to students. Subjects were 59 students of PhysicsEducation of Faculty of Education Riau University at semester 6 academic year 2008/2009. This researchuses Kemmis Model with three cycles. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the quality of thepresentation slides are prepared by students which increases each cycle until it reaches reaching the highcategory in cycle-3. Activity of presentation also increased of each cycle despite only reaching into thecategory of middle on a cycle-3. Student learning outcomes are categorized as high. When compared with thelearning outcomes of the previous year, the result of this learning strategy has increased. Meanwhile,students' motivation has increased between before and after learning.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the practicality of physics constructivist modules in the dynamics of rotation and rigid body balance using ADDIE’s model. The module practicality stages are: preparation, research introduction, practicality testing, filling out questionnaires, analyzing and conclusions, revising, and practical. There are 25 students and one physics teacher who asked using a questionnaire with 5 practical indicators, namely: efficiency, presentation of module material, ease of use, conformity with science, and implementation of constructive elements. The results of module practicality testing data analysis showed that the module efficiency level was 65.83 with the practical category, the module presentation rate was 90.16 with a very practical category, the module's ease of use was 86.08 with a very practical category, the degree of conformity with the science was 95,0 with a very practical category, and the level of implementation of constructive elements is 88.8 with a very practical category. Overall, the practicality of constructivist physics learning modules is 85.17 with a very practical category. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the constructivist physics learning module of rotational dynamics and rigid body balance is declared practical to be used as a source of learning for high school physics students.

Abstract

The Research have a purpose to create teaching module project base learning basis using science low cost for junior high school student. ADDIE Model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation) already chosen for principle module. Learning by project use an application of constructive learning theory and social cognitive theory. Module of low cost project base learning at topic Preassure outcome already passed every step of evolving from ADDIE. All validator agreed every aspect for evaluate the module, such as 1) Modul design 2) All activities 3) Modul content 4) Project Activities 5) Graph/Picture  6) Langguange/Text and 7) Evaluate modul’s content. The experiment using the module as all item for student and teacher already proved to used  the module in every aspect of evaluating. It can be concluded that the module already valid and can be used in bigger scale of learning activities.

Abstract

This research aim to know students’ social skill development in learning physic by applyingcopperative model with NHT approach and TSOS to kinematic of rectilinear motion subject in SMANegeri 12 Pekanbaru. This subject of this research is class X4 and the total of the students are 36.The research instrument is observation sheet of social skill. The data collection technique isobservation. The data analyzed descriptively which included 5 indicators: doing task (91,67%)high categories, support participation (75%) high categories, took the turn and share the task(76,56%) high categories, listening actively (86,72%) high categories and asking question(59,38%) medium categories. So that, the application of cooperative model with NHT approachand TSOS could exercised the students social skill at SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru to kinematic ofrectilinear motion.

Abstract

It has been done the manufacture of Salak embalming machine for partners of Lopo Salak in Padangsidempuan.This machine can be used to assist partners in the process of embalming Salak to produce good quality and guaranteed freshness. The steps in the manufacture of this machine start from the design, the provision of tools and materials, manufacture and test the machine. The results show that the machine works optimally with the average production of salak 25 kg/hour due to embalming. In addition, the embalming machine has a propulsion engine that serves as the embalming and drying of Salak.

Abstract

Jerome Bruner’s learning (JBL) is one of teaching method that make student active in learning or studentcenter learning with three process, i.e. (i) information, (ii) transformation, and (iii) evaluation. Researchmethod is quasi-experiment and designed by one group time series with fewer samples class 8 of SMP’sstudent. The JBL was implementation in three times respectively. The research aim are to know theincreasing of student achievement and effectiveness after applied the JBL in three study result catagories, i.e.low, medium, and high. Result of research indicates that student’s cognitive is good at all categories (α =0.05). Percentages of student’s affective and psychomotor are good catagory. Effectiveness of study is hightoo at low, medium, and high student’s achievement catagories.Key word : Jerome Bruner’s Learning

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness cognitive aspects of learning through the implementation theNHT Quiz-XA grade students at SMAN 12 Pekanbaru on subject matter the electrical circuit and KirchoffLaw in the academic year 2008/2009. The subjects were students of class XA 12 Pekanbaru SMA 2008/2009school year which amounted to 41 students. Data collection instrument is flat assessment of cognitiveachievement test. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, including aspects relevant to thesubject matter and the characteristic of students. Results of data analysis shows that subject matter masteryof 91.7% with a complete mastery category by category relevance is very high and classical mastery learningstudents is 87.8% with a category of exhaustiveness is finished with high relevance category, learningeffectiveness of students categorized as effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this training activity is to train the elementary school teachers in Inuman Sub-District, Kuantan Singingi Regency to developing an integrated  instrument component (IIC) natural science based on nature around. Teachers are trained to operate the Integrated Instrument Components natural science elementary shool that has been developed. The target audience is elementary school teachers in Inuman SubDistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency and who attended this event came from public and private elementary school representatives with 29 participants from 12 schools. Method of activity is the presentation of materials, modeling, training and simulation /discussion. Evaluation carried out from the beginning of the activity, during the implementation and the end of activities with questionnaires, observations and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively. The result of data analysis obtained by the average of the performance of 89% participants in very good category, so also the participant response about this service activity equal to 97,5% in very good category. The conclusion of the results of this training activities of elementary school teachers in the Inuman Sub-District, Kuantan Singingi Regency has the knowledge and able to implemeting in developing an integrated  instrument component simple natural science based on nature around for natural science learning in elementary school.

Abstract

Accommodating the latest learning challenges that require online learning support, a flipped classroom blog learning media that is valid has been produced, but has not been used in class, to see its effectiveness.Therefore the purpose of this research is to describe the cognitive learning outcomes of class X students of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru, through the application of classroom flipped blog learning media on work and energy material. The research method used is Pre-Experimental desgn. The research subjects were class X students of SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru which numbered 36 students. Research data are online quiz data and cognitive learning outcomes from post-test scores after the use of flipped classroom blog learning media. Data were analyzed descriptively to see the level of absorption of students' cognitive learning outcomes. The results of the online quiz data analysis through the flipped classroom blog found that the overall absorption of the online quiz was 85.92% with a very good category. The results of the post-test data analysis of learning outcomes obtained an average absorptive of 81.80%, with a good average absorptive category. The effectiveness of learning based on the absorptive score of the class average includes the effective category. So that the learning media of flipped classroom blogs as innovative learning media that are effectively used in learning work and energy material in class X SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of of physics-based learning lesson study with multirepresentation on Basic Physics course I. The subjects of the study are the first level students as much as 42 people divided into 2 classes, namely experimental and control class. The data completion instrument is a skill test consisting of 5 items about the essay. Data analysis is descriptive analysis to see the picture of result learn student process skill by using absorption criterion, learning efficiency, and mastery learning at presenter and postest. The data analysis showed that the average absorption rate of the class was 9.28% with the less favorable category in pretest experimental class at posttest 17.78% less good and 9,30% with less good category for control class at pretest and 17,18% With less good category, while the quality of less effective learning with 0% percentage in the experimental class and 0% for the control class in the category of less effective, student's 0% complete student completeness and incomplete start in pretest experimental class and 4.76% unfinished postest, and 0% at pretest with unfinished category, 14.29% also incomplete for postest control class, and 0% completeness of subject matter and unfinished acceptance in experiment class and 0% unfinished in control class Pretest and postest Thus, it can be concluded by using the programming language used for learning English on Basic Physics course I on the mater I collision and momentum.
