Abstract

Fashion has long been a powerful medium for expressing cultural identity, reflecting various communities' values, traditions, and social dynamics. This expression has evolved dramatically in the digital age, shaped by the pervasive influence of technology and social media. This study explores how fashion serves as a conduit for cultural identity in the contemporary digital landscape. It examines the interplay between traditional fashion practices and modern digital platforms. It highlights how individuals and communities use fashion to navigate and assert their cultural identities in an increasingly globalised world. The research investigates the role of digital platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, and fashion blogs, in disseminating and transforming cultural fashion trends. These platforms provide a space for cultural exchange and the democratisation of fashion, allowing underrepresented voices to showcase their heritage and creativity. Additionally, the study delves into the impact of virtual fashion shows, digital influencers, and online retail on cultural identity expression. It considers how these elements contribute to preserving and evolving traditional fashion practices. Furthermore, the research addresses the complexities of cultural appropriation in the digital age, where fashion trends can be rapidly adopted and commercialised, often detached from their cultural significance. By analysing case studies and engaging with fashion designers, influencers, and consumers, the study offers insights into the ethical considerations and responsibilities involved in cultural fashion representation. The findings suggest that while digital platforms can facilitate celebrating and sharing cultural identities, they pose challenges related to authenticity, appropriation, and commercialisation. This duality underscores the need for a nuanced understanding of fashion as a cultural expression in the digital era. The study concludes with recommendations for fostering a more inclusive and respectful digital fashion ecosystem that honours and preserves cultural identities while embracing innovation and diversity. Through this exploration, the research aims to contribute to the broader discourse on cultural identity, fashion, and digital media, offering valuable perspectives for academics, industry professionals, and cultural advocates.

Abstract

The development of science which is essentially towards the process of improvement will continue throughout the human thought process. This also occurs in the paradigm of public administration development so that it attracts the attention of researchers to analyze the development of public administration research. In this study using bibliometric analysis to describe the results of journal publications with data search tools using Publish or Perish produced 996 meta data and analysis tools using Microsoft Excel, and VosViewer to visualize meta data. The results showed that from 996 meta data with the keyword "paradigm of public administration development" obtained a publication range from 1995-2024, with the most documents being the type of book file published on books. google.com with a total of 83 book titles and the highest publication development trend occurred in 2020 with 129 publications while the results of network mapping using VosViewer obtained 4 authors, namely Ismail, I; Sos, S; Irawan B; Larasati, E. which is the most productive author in the field of public administration development paradigms. The research development map using VosViewer is grouped into 5 clusters. Fluctuating research shows that the paradigm of public administration development is a research topic that attracts researchers to write, study, and analyze the topic of the paradigm of public administration development so that the implications of this research are to help other researchers to further study the development of the paradigm of public administration and be associated with the latest phenomena.

Abstract

Life has changed with the development of science and technology. One technology that has a significant impact is the technology of the Internet world, the Internet introduces people to the digital world. Of course, this development also affects the law, especially copyright law. Copyrighted works that were still in a traditional form can now be converted to a digital form or digital copyrighted works can be created. In this case, copyright law, which previously protected traditional forms of copyrighted works, must evolve to include the protection of digital copyrighted works, one of which is through cooperation with technology. This research is a normative study with a focus on how copyright law, which previously protected traditional forms of copyright, must evolve to include protection of digital copyrights, one of which is through cooperation with technology. This research is a normative research with a qualitative approach that is descriptive. As technology allows the conversion of copyrighted works into digital forms, there are advantages such as the easy distribution/notification of copyrighted works, but also the ease of infringement. In view of these developments, the WIPO has issued two international treaties known as the WIPO Internet Treaties. These treaties have been adopted by several countries. Indonesia in its positive copyright law has implemented the protection of digital copyrighted works in its articles. Our copyright law needs to be further enriched to protect digital copyrighted works as suggested by the author in this study

Abstract

This study aims to describe curriculum management and higher education assessment systems in producing quality college graduates. This study used descriptive qualitative methods, and data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques use data validity tests with source tringulation. The results of the study show that the Curriculum Management and Educational Assessment System in the Master of Defense Industry Study Program of Unhan of the Republic of Indonesia in accordance with curriculum standards and higher education assessment systems through planning, organizing, implementing and supervising refer to the vision, mission and profile of graduates in attitudes, knowledge and skills. The conclusion and suggestion in this study is that curriculum planning and educational assessment systems in the Defense Industry Master Study Program of the Indonesian Defense University are carried out through systematic curriculum design, strict assessment standards, and comprehensive assessment instruments. Curriculum organization involves learning designs prepared by course lecturers, distribution of courses each semester, and assessment instruments applied to each subject. The implementation of the curriculum and assessment system refers to the standards of the learning process and assessment that have been set, including the academic calendar and the schedule of teaching and learning activities of each lecturer. Supervision of the curriculum and assessment system is carried out through lesson plans, supervision, reports on lecturer learning activities, academic and non-academic achievements of students, and comprehensive learning evaluation. Although the curriculum includes aspects of attitudes, knowledge, and skills, the assessment of non-academic skills such as soft skills and character needs to be considered as one of the development areas in the educational assessment system to improve the quality of graduates holistically. Keywords: Curriculum Management, Educational Assessment, Defense University of Republic of Indonesia

Abstract

The amount of waste generated in Polewali Mandar Regency in 2022 was 2,852,712 tons from a population of 488,857, indicating that the waste management by the Department of Environment and Forestry, which is responsible for waste issues in Polewali Mandar Regency, is not yet optimal. Meanwhile, Government Regulation No. 97 of 2017 Article 5 paragraph 1 concerning the National Strategy Policy for Household Waste Management and Similar Household Waste targets a waste generation rate of 30%. Therefore, this research aims to identify and describe the performance of the DLHK through the Zero Waste program, the inhibiting factors, and the efforts in waste management in Polewali Mandar Regency. This thesis research uses qualitative descriptive research with an inductive approach. The data collection techniques used by the researcher are interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this thesis research consist of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. According to Soesilo's theory (Nogi, 2005), the results of this study conclude that in waste management, the performance of the DLHK through the "Zero Waste" Program has made a positive contribution to maintaining cleanliness. However, the limitations of the study include: first, the research only uses a qualitative approach with interview techniques, which are not yet able to predict which dimensions and indicators most influence the measurement of the performance of the Department of Environment and Forestry through the "Zero Waste" program in Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi Province. Second, the limitation of data collection time and the interviews conducted are subjective, depending on the informants' memory and perceptions, which affects the accuracy and reliability of the data. Third, this study has not explained other factors influencing performance, such as the role of regional leadership like sub-district heads and village heads, which are indicated to play a role in taking over these tasks and responsibilities..Keywords: Performance, Waste Management, waste generation.

Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of company secretary characteristics on firm performance. The sample used was companies registered on the BEI for the 2018-2022 period with 944 observations.
