Abstract

Early childhood marriage is a serious problem in West Nusa Tenggara, especially in East Lombok, with the incidence rate continuing to increase despite local regulations prohibiting it. The main factors that cause early marriage include low motivation to go to school, psychological conditions, and the economic conditions of parents who force children to marry young. Local cultures such as merariq kodek also reinforce this practice, where early childhood is seen as ready for marriage. The service activity was carried out through 2 stages, namely the preparation stage and the implementation stage of the activity on July 8, 2024, attended by 50 teenagers in Keranji Hamlet, Paremas Village, Jerowaru District. The counseling carried out by the service team from the Sociology Education Study Program, University of Mataram succeeded in increasing the awareness of the younger generation about the dangers of early marriage and the importance of education as the key to a better future. The results of the discussion also showed a change in positive attitudes, with participants unequivocally rejecting early marriage and agreeing to prioritize education. Efforts to educate and increase access to education need to continue to be strengthened as the main foundation to reduce the rate of early childhood marriage and form a quality generation in the future.

Abstract

This community service initiative aims to facilitate and support the accreditation process at SMAN 10 Bahau Hulu, a high school located in a 3T (frontier, outermost, disadvantaged) region in Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan. The activities involved direct visits to the partner school to identify factors hindering student achievement, describe infrastructure and accessibility conditions, and formulate strategies for improving education quality relevant to local needs. Data collection methods included field and classroom observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The visit results indicate that the school has strengths in creating an inclusive learning environment and effective governance, but it also faces challenges related to optimizing learning, developing teacher professionalism, and limited resources. These challenges, compounded by geographic isolation and socio-cultural barriers, necessitate targeted support to ensure the school meets national accreditation standards and delivers equitable, quality education. This community service activity contributes to an understanding of school evaluation practices in 3T regions and provides follow-up recommendations for improving educational quality.

Abstract

Gampong Lubok Sukon, located in Ingin Jaya District of Aceh Besar Regency, is one of the tourist villages in Aceh Besar. The village’s appeal lies in its preserved natural beauty and the maintenance of its ancestral cultural heritage. Rumoh Aceh is a significant attraction for local and international tourists visiting the village. Based on the interview conducted, most visitors to the village are foreigners. This influx of foreign visitors allows the children in the village to develop their foreign language skills. However, those children interact less with this foreigner due to their limited vocabulary. Therefore, the team is interested in organizing a community service activity in that village. This activity aims to enhance the childern’s English vocabulary through the educational game of Snake and Ladders. This activity involves 20 elementary school students from Gampong Lubok Sukon. The result of this activity shows that the participating children are highly enthusiastic in answering the questions provided. The respondents showed interest in learning English through Snake and Ladders game and their vocabulary improved.

Abstract

The inaccuracy of gold price information in the Islamic pawn financing brochure at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Surabaya Manukan is a major issue due to the rapid fluctuations in gold prices. Printed price information on brochures often becomes irrelevant in a short time, potentially causing confusion, reducing trust, and resulting in losses for both customers and the Islamic bank. This study aims to analyze these issues using a SWOT approach and to propose innovative solutions. The method employed is descriptive analysis of existing promotional media. The results indicate the need for updates in the way gold price information is delivered to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The proposed solution is to add a QR code feature on the brochure, directly linked to a real-time gold price information system. This innovation is expected to enhance transparency, Islamic financial literacy, and public trust in Islamic gold pawn products. Furthermore, this approach can serve as a reference for other Islamic financial institutions in developing adaptive, responsive, and informative promotional media..

Abstract

Identifying workforce needs is very important to ensure that the company has the appropriate quantity and quality of workforce to support the smooth operation and achievement of organizational goals. PT PAL Indonesia, as a strategic company in the maritime industry, is committed to enhancing the effectiveness of human resource planning to support smooth operations, especially in the Warship Division. This identification process is carried out as part of a continuous evaluation, ensuring the alignment between the available workforce and the actual needs. The company applies a manpower planning and workload analysis-based approach to achieve these goals. With proper implementation, PT PAL Indonesia is expected to improve the efficiency of human resource management and ensure optimal operational continuity across all production lines, particularly in the Warship Division. Budget constraints are not the only factor causing delays in the recruitment process. It is also part of the company's strategic policy aimed at balancing cost efficiency with productivity.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic banking is a key strategy for delivering efficient, fast, and relevant services to modern society. One service significantly impacted is the Hajj savings product, which can now be accessed through digital platforms such as Bank Syariah Indonesia's (BSI) Byond Mobile app. This community service activity aimed to evaluate the optimization of digital-based Hajj savings services at BSI's Surabaya Manukan branch. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through field observations, informal interviews with bank staff, and documentation of service activities. The results of the community service program showed that the use of the Byond Mobile application accelerated the account opening process, reduced administrative errors, and increased customer convenience and trust. Furthermore, the involvement of student interns supported digital literacy among customers unfamiliar with technology. This program not only benefited the community but also provided students with practical experience and a meaningful role in improving Sharia-compliant public services. The findings of the activity recommended strengthening digital literacy and technical training to enhance the effectiveness of similar services in the future.

Abstract

Freshwater fish farming is one of the economic potentials that can be developed to improve the welfare of rural communities. Bukut Village has great natural resource potential in the freshwater fisheries sector because it is surrounded by clean and clear rivers. However, there are several main problems that hinder the development of freshwater fish farming in this area, namely: 1) Limited knowledge and technology of freshwater fish hatchery, and 2) Limited availability and quality of freshwater fish seeds. The purpose of this Community Service is to educate the community about artificial breeding techniques through socialization and training or direct practice on how to carry out artificial breeding on freshwater fish to increase the number of freshwater fish seed production and community turnover. The community service method is carried out by dissemination through socialization to increase understanding of good and effective freshwater fish farming, training in artificial breeding techniques from selecting broodstock to hatching eggs, and mentoring. The community service partners are 15 people from the Bukut Village community, Terangun Gayo Lues District. The results of the community service showed that 85% of partners experienced increased knowledge about artificial breeding, 89% of partners understood how to select good broodstock for spawning, 84% of partners understood spawning methods, 83% of partners understood larval maintenance techniques, and 63% of partners' income increased.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan kualitas belajar siswa diperlukan peran seluruh anggota sekolah, tidak hanya guru dan siswa namun juga perlu peran kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin dan pengambil kebijakan. Berdasarkan kajian literatur, ditemukan bahwa kepala sekolah memainkan peran penting dalam terciptanya kualitas siswa khususnya pada penerapan kepemimpinan pembelajaran. Dimana kepala sekolah tidak hanya melakukan fungsi administratif, tetapi juga mengatur organisasi dengan memberikan dukungan penuh terhadap pengembangan professional guru serta memahami apa yang dibutuhkan oleh guru dalam pemenuhan pengembangan kompetensi. Oleh karena itu, peneliti bertujuan untuk menelaah implementasi kepemimpinan pembelajaran dalam peningkatan kualitas belajar siswa melalui pendekatan deep learning. Deep learning merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan kepada pembelajaran yang mindful, meaningful dan joyful. Kegiatan ini dikemas dalam workshop yang bekerjasama dengan SDN Lengkong Bojongsoang Kabupaten Bandung. Peserta adalah kepala sekolah dan guru yang berjumlah 17 orang. Sebagai hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini akan dipublikasi kedalam jurnal ilmiah nasional.

Abstract

Serangga merupakan kelompok makhluk hidup yang memiliki peran penting dalam ekosistem, namun masih sering dianggap sebagai hama oleh masyarakat. Kurangnya pemahaman tentang manfaat serangga menjadi alasan perlunya edukasi sejak dini. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan jenis-jenis serangga berdayaguna kepada siswa sekolah dasar melalui edukasi yang interaktif. Edukasi dilaksanakan di SDN Gowok, Kota Serang, Banten pada tanggal 6 Maret 2025 dan diikuti oleh 59 siswa kelas 6. Materi yang disampaikan meliputi pengenalan serangga, ciri-ciri, manfaat, serta cara melindungi serangga, disertai pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 4,74% pada seluruh aspek yang diuji, dengan peningkatan tertinggi sebesar 11,87% pada pemahaman tentang pelestarian serangga. Edukasi ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan serta membentuk kesadaran siswa akan pentingnya peran serangga dalam lingkungan.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt more effective and efficient marketing strategies, one of which is through digital marketing. This community service activity aims to increase the digital marketing capacity of Toko Kue Ende in Bengkulu by adapting the successful concept of Bakpia Juwara Satoe in Yogyakarta. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which emphasizes active collaboration between implementers and partners. Assistance is carried out in the form of training, improving digital content, SEO optimization strategies, simplifying ordering paths, and increasing advertising efficiency. The evaluation results showed an increase in website traffic of 65%, a conversion rate of 40%, a higher engagement rate, and ROAS efficiency. These findings confirm that the implementation of locally-based and participatory digital marketing can significantly increase the competitiveness of MSMEs.
