The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence the lack of application of quality management (K4) in lectures in the AKS-AKK Makeup Study Program. This type of research is quantitative research with an explanatory research design. The research sample was 35 people who were lecturers and education staff at the AKS-AKK Makeup Study Program who were taken using the total sampling technique. The data collection technique used a questionnaire which was then analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a significant positive influence, partially or simultaneously, on the factors of lecturers' understanding of quality management; infrastructure & facilities; academic culture; evaluation & monitoring on the implementation of quality management (K4) while the intitutional suport factor did not affect the implementation of quality management (K4).

Abstract

Project Based Learning is a model where students take the lead in investigating and solving real-world problems, as well as developing and implementing their own ideas. This study aims to achieve two things including 1) description the implementation of Project Based Learning in the learning process, 2) description the level of creativity of phase F students after the implementation of Project Based Learning. This study uses a pre-experimental research type with a one-shoot case study design on 31 students of phase f of SMK Negeri 2 Lamongan. Observation and assessment are the methods used to collect data. LKPD sheets and implementation observation sheets are data collection techniques. Descriptive statistical tests, calculating the average score of PjBL implementation observations, and calculating the average creativity score are data analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that 1) the project-based learning approach produced a very good average of 89.43% in terms of teacher and student activity. 2) by using project-based learning, students were able to achieve a level of creativity of 89.51% in making party dresses, placing them in the very good category

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students’ learning outcomes on the basic pattern elements (phase E) in fashion design subject at SMK Negeri 1 Jabon. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 33 students from one class selected purposively. Data were collected through observation sheets on PBL implementation, learning outcome tests (pretest and posttest), and student response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics by comparing pretest and posttest scores and calculating the percentages of implementation and student responses. The results showed that the implementation of the PBL model was categorized as very good, with an average of 91% in the first session and 91.6% in the second. Students’ learning mastery improved significantly from 45% (pretest) to 91% (posttest), with a 46% increase. Student responses were also highly positive, with an average score of 88.2%. These findings indicate that the PBL model effectively enhances students’ engagement, content understanding, and critical thinking skills. The implication of this study suggests that the PBL model is suitable for practical learning in fashion design education that emphasizes contextual problem solving and collaborative learning

Abstract

This research aims to explore the process of making a casual Muslim fashion design with pucuk rebung pattern using SketchBook application and analyse the design results from the aspects of aesthetics, function, innovation, trend suitability, and colour selection. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach, utilising data collection techniques that include interviews with six expert sources and questionnaires administered to 30 respondents. The results showed that the design-making process was done systematically through concept determination, making moodboards, croquis, fashion sketches, colouring, and digital design refinement using a sketchbook. Based on the questionnaire results, the average category of Strongly Agree was 58% and Agree was 55.33%. The aesthetic aspect obtained the highest percentage of Strongly Agree at 66.67%, indicating that the design was considered visually appealing. The aspects of function, innovation, and trend suitability also received high scores, indicating that the design suits the needs of modern Muslim casual wear. However, innovation and colour selection still need to be improved to make the design more unique and optimal in the future. This research proves that the sketchbook application is effective in supporting the creation of traditional patterned Muslim casual fashion designs with a modern look that is relevant to current fashion trends.

Abstract

This research is a creative study that aims to describe the stages and results of designing batik motifs inspired by architectural elements of the Gresik Grand Mosque. The creative process was carried out through three main stages: exploration (including concept formulation, technique selection, and material identification), design (from sketching, motif development, to pattern arrangement), and realisation (including the batik-making process, dyeing, wax removal, drying, and finalising the product into batik sarongs). The resulting works are three hand-drawn batik sarongs, namely Agungwara 2, Agungwara 4, and Agungwara 7. All three employ similar basic motifs, but are composed with distinct elements, resulting in unique visuals in each work. Agungwara 2 highlights the shape of a mosque roof and protective ornaments as symbols of tranquillity and spiritual values. Agungwara 4 features hourglass and mihrab motifs that reflect the meanings of time, light, and the direction of worship. Meanwhile, Agungwara 7 combines images of a mosque, gate, and floral elements that symbolise the strength of faith, knowledge, and harmony. The entire collection reflects a blend of aesthetic values, spirituality, and local wisdom in a contextual and functional visual form.
