Abstract

Ramadhan is a special moment in Islam that encompasses not only ritual aspects but also profound spiritual and social dimensions. This study aims to analyze the role of Ramadhan observances in enhancing individual faith and piety, as well as the challenges in maintaining religious consistency after the holy month. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and literature review method, this research adopts behavioral-religious theory and spiritual reinforcement as analytical frameworks. The findings reveal that Ramadhan serves as a spiritual school (madrasah ruhaniyah) that shapes character, controls desires, strengthens one’s relationship with Allah (hablum minallah), and enhances social solidarity. Despite challenges in sustaining faith post-Ramadhan, strategies such as moderate religious education, family and community support, and involvement in social activities are proven effective in maintaining religious continuity. Therefore, Ramadhan functions not only as an annual worship period but also as a sustainable medium for personal transformation among Muslims.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the TERPADU learning strategy at SDIT Ikhtiar Makassar, an Islamic integrated elementary school that combines the national curriculum with Islamic values. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, and students who were directly involved in the teaching and learning process. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method, and data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the TERPADU strategy comprising the stages of Telaah (Study), Eksplorasi (Explore), Rumuskan (Formulate), Presentasikan (Present), Aplikasikan (Apply), Duniawi (Worldly), and Ukhrowi (Spiritual)—has been systematically implemented in both curricular and extracurricular activities. This approach has significantly contributed to the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes, as evidenced by increased average academic scores, higher bilingual program achievements, and improved graduation rates. In addition, the strategy has promoted students’ character development in the affective domain, such as discipline, independence, and consistency in worship. These findings affirm that TERPADU is not merely an instructional method, but a transformative educational paradigm that fosters intellectually capable and spiritually grounded students.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the level of financial literacy integration within the Economic Education curriculum and to identify dominant and underdeveloped dimensions of financial literacy among students. The research was conducted at the Economic Education Study Program of the Institute of Education Tapanuli Selatan, involving 146 active students as respondents. The research method employed a descriptive quantitative approach, using a Likert-scale questionnaire developed based on financial literacy indicators from Atkinson & Messy (2012) and Lusardi & Mitchell (2014). The findings reveal that the integration of financial literacy into the curriculum is categorized as high, with an average score of 75.49%. The highest score was obtained in the area of personal financial planning and management (81.18%), while the lowest score was in future financial planning (68.46%). These results indicate that short-term financial literacy is well addressed in the learning process, whereas long-term financial planning requires further emphasis. This research concludes that although financial literacy integration is present, the curriculum still needs adjustments to become more practical and contextual. Recommendations include developing specialized financial literacy courses, adopting project-based learning methods, and conducting regular curriculum evaluations to enhance students’ preparedness in facing the challenges of the digital economy

Abstract

This study analyzes the personality of the main character in the film Toba Dreams using Sigmund Freud's literary psychology approach. The main focus of the study is the character Ronggur, who experiences inner conflict between his free will and family values. The method used is descriptive qualitative with observation and documentation techniques. The results show the dominance of id in Ronggur, which often clashes with his father's moral values as a representation of superego. This analysis shows that personality conflict can be the main key in understanding the dynamics of characters in movies

Abstract

This study aims to describe kinship terms in the Kodi language through an anthropological linguistic approach with a focus on the analysis of social structure, culture, and interpersonal relationships of the Kodi community. This type of research is an anthropological linguistic approach with a descriptive qualitative method. The data collected in the form of words and phrases related to kinship terms in the Kodi language were analyzed using the Burling (1970) framework. Data collection techniques include interviews (speak), as well as recording and note-taking techniques. The results of the study identified kinship terms that are structured based on age hierarchy, namely consanguineous kinship, afinal kinship, and ego-parallel which influence social norms related to respect, politeness, and trust in daily interactions

Abstract

This study investigates the use of impoliteness in Twitter responses to the dismissal of Ange Postecoglou by Tottenham Hotspur, despite his recent success in ending the club’s 17-year trophy drought. Using Culpeper’s Impoliteness Theory, 100 reply tweets to the @SpursOfficial announcement were analysed to identify the strategies fans used to express discontent. The data were collected directly from Twitter shortly after the announcement, using purposive sampling. Each tweet was manually coded according to Culpeper’s impoliteness strategies and analysed qualitatively to explore its pragmatic implications. The findings show that bald on-record impoliteness, positive impoliteness, and sarcasm/mock politeness were the most frequently employed strategies. Impoliteness in this context serves both expressive and social functions, allowing fans to signal moral outrage, reject perceived injustice, and reassert their connection to the club. The study highlights the complex role of impoliteness in digital football discourse and its function as a performative act in moments of collective discontent.
