Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of Physics LKPD based on ethnoscience and to determine the increase in students' cognitive learning outcomes after using Physics LKPD based on ethnoscience. This study used the research and development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The sample used in this study was 2 classes, namely class XI IPA 1 and class XI IPA 2, totaling 37 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, tests, and validation sheet instruments from media experts, material experts, and teacher experts. The results of the study obtained from the results of the material expert validator obtained a percentage score of 87% with the criteria of "very feasible". The results of the media expert validator obtained a percentage score of 81% with the criteria of "very feasible". The results of the teacher expert validator obtained a percentage score of 98% with the criteria of "very feasible". Student responses to LKPD obtained a percentage score of 84% with the criteria of "very interesting". The effectiveness of LKPD based on N-gain is 0.58 with the interpretation that there is an increase in cognitive learning outcomes in the moderate category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the method of applying gamification using the Harry Potter theme from the perspective of students, and explore the benefits of the gamification method using the Harry Potter theme from the perspective of students. The research method is qualitative with the instruments used being questionnaire sheets, interview sheets and documentation. The data collected is analyzed through several processes, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. Based on the results of the questionnaire and interview, it can be concluded that 80% of students know the gamification method, then 90% of students stated that the Harry Potter-themed gamification method can increase student motivation, then 90% of students stated that the Harry Potter-themed gamification method can help students understand the material, 88% of students also stated that lecturers' innovations in designing Harry Potter-themed games, and 88% of students stated that gamification can change students' attitudes during Learning

Abstract

Character education is a variety of efforts made by schools, parents, and communities to help students become human beings who have caring, opinionated, and responsible traits. Success in the learning process cannot be separated from the importance of the role of the teacher. Teachers are required to master various competencies needed in carrying out the duties of being a good educator, one of which is social competence. The purpose of this study was to analyse and describe the character education of third grade students based on the social competence of IPAS subject teachers at SDN Talun 05 Talun District, Blitar Regency. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection method uses questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the value of student character education was very good with the results of the questionnaire showing a percentage of 87.92%. the social competence of the third grade teacher at SDN Talun 05 was very good with the results of the questionnaire showing a percentage of 89.17%. It can be concluded that the social competence of teachers is very important in shaping the value of student character education

Abstract

This research aims to develop contextual chemistry weblog-based learning media on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material to improve students' scientific literacy. This media was designed using the Borg & Gall development model, through the stages of needs analysis, planning, development, validation, testing and revision. The validation process involves media design experts, material experts and language experts to evaluate aspects of appearance, content and language. The trial was carried out at SMA IT Al-Ittihad Pekanbaru involving one chemistry teacher and 10 class X science students. The research results show that this learning media has a very good level of validity with an average score of 89.16% from expert validation. The practicality of the media by teachers was also rated very high with a score of 92%, confirming ease of use, suitability of content to the curriculum, and clarity of language. Student responses to the media showed that 90% of students felt this media was interesting and helped understand the material, while 80% of students thought the design and interactivity of the media supported independent learning

Abstract

This article aims to shed light on the compliment strategies employed by men and women towards Indonesian female politicians, using a netnographic approach to uncover implications of these interactions. By exploring the intersection of gender, communication, and politics, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on gender equality and empowerment in the political sphere. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data consists of comments from netizens on the Instagram posts of five Indonesian female political figures. Documentation techniques are used for data collection, while Content Analysis is employed to data analysis. The steps include: selecting political posts, extracting top-liked compliments, identifying types of compliments, categorizing compliments, presenting data, interpreting the, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the compliment types that the women receive from men are in the forms of evaluations or appreciations. While women tend to give admiration and request. The patriarchal system in Indonesia does not serve as a barrier for Indonesian women to actively participate in politics. Men will appreciate and respect women who demonstrate competence and good traits

Abstract

This study aims to analyze factually about the implementation of the foundation of curriculum development in the 2013 curriculum with the independent curriculum. This research analysis is presented with descriptive qualitative method with literature review. This study examines literature in the form of books and scientific articles sourced from Google Scholer, ResearchGate and various journals that have national-based data. The data generated can produce valid results by looking at one study with other studies. In addition, the literature review can be used as a method to see and map the basis of curriculum development in the 2013 curriculum and that of the independent curriculum. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was found that the 2013 curriculum uses a foundation of curriculum development based on philosophical, legal, theoretical, empirical and conceptual values. Meanwhile, in the independent curriculum, the foundation of curriculum development that is implemented is the philosophical, psychological, sociological, scientific and technological and historical foundations. With a solid foundation, the resulting curriculum will be strong, that is, the educational programme can produce educated people in accordance with the nature of humanity, both for present life and for welcoming future life

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to examine the development of the entrepreneurship curriculum in elementary schools. The aspects studied are the definition of the entrepreneurship curriculum, the foundation for the development of the entrepreneurship curriculum, and the model and value of entrepreneurship in elementary schools. The research method used is a literature study study. The documents studied in this study are books and articles with national reputation. Documents are collected, analyzed, and concluded through scientific studies. The results of this study show that the entrepreneurship curriculum is very important to be developed for the advancement of the independence of the Indonesian people. The development of an entrepreneurship curriculum at the elementary school level is considered very appropriate to develop this curriculum as early as possible. Because at this stage of development, elementary school students already have the ability to think and be creative, which is enough, so it is very easy to guide them to absorb and implement entrepreneurial values in their learning experience. It is hoped that elementary school students will be able to create innovations that will later produce valuable products, so that through the products produced indirectly it will instill an entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurial mentality in students

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the significant influence of learning motivation on the mathematical critical thinking abilities of class VII students at MTsN 11 Agam. The hypothesis in this research is "There is a significant influence of learning motivation on the mathematical critical thinking abilities of class VII students at MTsN 11 Agam for the 2023/2024 academic year." This type of research is ex post facto research with a type of correlation research (causal research). The population in this study were all class VII students, totaling 124 students. Meanwhile, the sample in this study was taken randomly as many as 38 students. Before sampling, normality and homogeneity tests were carried out. The instruments used in this research were a mathematics learning motivation questionnaire and mathematical critical thinking ability test questions.  The statistical analysis technique used is Simple Regression Analysis. From the results of data analysis, it shows that the regression equation between motivation to learn mathematics and critical mathematical thinking abilities of class VII students at MTsN 11 Agam is Y=10.396+0.2714X with a correlation of 0.628 and a coefficient of determination of 39.5%. The results of hypothesis testing obtained t_count > t_table, namely 4.843 > 2.028, and the SPSS results obtained a significant 0.00 and the value α=0.05, so it was obtained 0.00 ≤ 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence of motivation to learn mathematics on the mathematical critical thinking abilities of class VII students at MTsN 11 Agam.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems can be interpreted as a potential possessed by students so that they can solve mathematical problems in solving mathematical problems. This quantitative research explains the mathematical problem-solving ability of students by implementing the SOLE (Self Organized Learning Environments) learning model and self-regulated learning of students as a controller. This study aims to determine the effect of the SOLE learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities by controlling self-regulated learning and the effect of self-regulated learning covariate variables on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, as well as the simultaneous effect of the SOLE learning model and self-regulated learning on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Participants in this study totaled 61 students in junior high school, with details of 30 students studying using the SOLE model and 31 students studying with the conventional model. The tools used to collect data are questionnaires and essay tests. The hypothesis test uses the one-way ancova test, the result of the hypothesis test is that there is an influence of the SOLE learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability by controlling self-regulated learning and there is an influence of self-regulated learning covariate variables on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, and there is a simultaneous influence of the SOLE learning model and self-regulated learning on mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

This research is based on the low mathematical problem-solving ability of students, one of which is because during the learning process students tend to be silent and not confident when answering the practice questions given, there is no courage to answer every question given. The purpose of this study is to find out students' mathematical problem-solving ability reviewed from mathematical disposition. This type of research is a qualitative description research. The research subjects were selected 3 students out of 29 students, namely, one student for each category of mathematical disposition, including high, medium, and low mathematical disposition categories. The instruments used are questionnaire instruments, mathematical problem-solving ability tests, and interview guidelines. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The data validity technique used is triangulation technique. Based on the results of this study, students with a high category of mathematical disposition have a level of mathematical problem-solving ability with a very good category. Then students with a moderate category of mathematical disposition have a level of mathematical problem-solving ability with a sufficient category. Furthermore, students with a low category of mathematical disposition have a different level of mathematical problem-solving ability, which is less and less
