Abstract

This article discusses the study of makkiyah and madaniyah verses in the Qur'an through the perspective of orientalist and occidentalist thought. The makqiyah verse, which was revealed in Mecca before the hijrah, emphasizes more on the theme of faith and morality, while the madaniyah verse, which was revealed after the hijrah in Medina, focuses more on social and legal aspects. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study collected data from a variety of literature, including books, journal articles, and research reports. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the analysis show that the difference between the two lies not only in the themes raised, but also in the much more complex way of understanding the text, reflecting the social and political context in which the verses are revealed. This article concludes that a deeper understanding of the Qur'an needs to be established through dialogue between these two perspectives in order to achieve a more comprehensive and relevant understanding in the present day.

This research aims to conduct a philosophical analysis of the future of education in Indonesian-Malaysian universities in facing the challenges of the 2045 Megatrend era. The main focus of this research is to explore philosophical concepts that can guide the transformation of higher education in both countries to be relevant and adaptive to global developments, technology, and anticipated social demands by 2045. A literature approach is used in this study, by analyzing the literature on educational philosophy, social theory, and future developments related to higher education. Through philosophical analysis, it was found that higher education in Indonesia-Malaysia needs to adapt to the major changes faced in the 2045 Megatrend era. Concepts such as value-based education, continuous learning, technological adaptation, and social inclusion are key in preparing graduates who are ready to face the challenges of the future. In addition, cross-disciplinary and international collaboration, strengthening the capacity of lecturers, and integrating local values in the curriculum are also important factors to ensure the relevance and quality of higher education in the future

Abstract

The collective trauma experienced by the community after natural disasters in Indonesia has a profound psychological impact. This research aims to explore the role of religion in the collective trauma recovery process. This study uses a literature study. This method was used to analyze literature related to the function of religion as a source of emotional, spiritual, and social support in dealing with trauma. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively by using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that religion has a significant role in post-disaster recovery through three main aspects. First, religion provides meaning and hope through spiritual beliefs, which helps individuals and communities overcome feelings of loss and uncertainty. Second, religious rituals, such as joint prayers and meaning ceremonies, are a means to strengthen community solidarity and create a safe space to express emotions. Third, religious institutions play a role in providing material assistance, spiritual counseling, and mobilizing volunteers to support the physical and mental recovery of victims. The study concludes that religion not only serves as a source of spiritual strength, but also as an effective social tool in reducing the impact of collective trauma

Abstract

Islamic education in the digital era faces challenges as well as significant opportunities in presenting Islamic values to the younger generation. This literature study method aims to analyze the influence of digital technology developments on Islamic education, especially in the aspects of curriculum, learning methods, and media used. Digital literacy is the main skill that educators must have to effectively integrate technology into the learning process. Platforms such as Islamic-based learning apps, e-learning, and social media have become potential tools in conveying religious teachings in an engaging and interactive manner. Threats in the form of access to negative content, lack of information filters, and potential deviations in moral values are also a concern. This research finds the importance of the role of teachers, parents, and educational institutions in ensuring that technology is used wisely to support the strengthening of Islamic character and moral character. Proper use of digital resources, Islamic education can remain relevant and adaptive to the needs of the times without overriding the essence of religious values. This article emphasizes the need for synergy between technology and spiritual approaches in shaping a generation of intelligent, faithful, and noble Muslims.

Abstract

Reading literacy and mathematics literacy are important focuses in the Minimum Competency Assessment launched by the government. This study aims to provide an overview of how teachers in schools design numeracy literacy questions and factors that affect the design process. The subjects in this study are 14 subject teachers at one of the Tsanawiyah Madrasah in Sleman, Yogyakarta. The data collected were in the form of teacher designs, field notes, and interview results. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the question design made by the teacher, it can be seen that most teachers choose to design reading literacy questions rather than numeracy questions. The content selected in literacy is mostly informational text, while for numeracy the largest content is numbers. The cognitive process that is the goal of most problems in literacy is the process of interpretation and integration, while in numeracy problems most of them are at the level of comprehension. Both literacy and numeracy matters, the dominant context used is the personal and scientific context. The factors that affect the design of numeracy literacy questions are the availability of resources and support, curriculum and assessment factors, time and workload factors, and internal teacher factors

Abstract

The Fisheries Management Republik Indonesia (WPP-RI) 573 encompasses strategic waters in the southern Indian Ocean of Indonesia, playing a critical role in global ocean circulation through the Indonesian Throughflow (ITF). This study aims to examine the physical oceanographic characteristics, particularly sea surface temperature (SST), salinity, and marine ecosystem productivity in WPP 573, as well as the impacts of ITF variability on these parameters. Data utilized include SST, salinity, and current velocity obtained from satellite observations and numerical models. The analysis reveals that the ITF transports tropical water masses from the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean, significantly influencing the spatial and temporal distribution of temperature and salinity in the region.

Abstract

Generation Z exhibits unique learning characteristics, such as reliance on technology, a preference for interactive learning, and active engagement in the learning process. This study aims to identify effective strategies to enhance teacher professionalism in bridging the gap between traditional teaching methods and the needs of Generation Z. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method based on a literature review. Data were collected through the identification, selection, and in-depth analysis of 11 relevant scholarly articles. Content analysis techniques were used to categorize the data into main themes, such as digital literacy gaps, unequal technological infrastructure, resistances to change, and a lack of continuous professional training. The findings reveal that the primary challenges faced include digital literacy gaps, unequal technological infrastructure, resistance to change, and insufficient continuous training. Recommended solutions include implementing digital literacy training, developing innovative curricula such as gamification and flipped classrooms, improving technological infrastructure, and strengthening supervision by school principals. Furthermore, teachers are encouraged to collaborate through professional learning communities to share experiences and teaching strategies

Abstract

Instilling a sense of responsibility is the process of educating students to understand and carry out their obligations to themselves, others, and the environment. Teacher role models are very important, because students tend to imitate positive behaviors that they observe. Students can internalize a sense of responsibility as a habit. The purpose of this study was to analyze the learning strategy of aqidah akhlak in instilling a sense of responsibility in class VII students at MTs Nurul Ikhlas Sidoarjo. The research method used was qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing concslusions. The informants in this study were the Principal of MTs Nurul Ikhlas Sidoarjo on behalf of Nurul Rochmawati, S.Pd, the teacher of aqidah akhlak for class VII, namely Solikin, S.Pd, class VII students on behalf of Muhammad Mukhlash Miqdaad. The results of the study showed that teachers play a central role in guiding students by implementing four main strategies: role models, habits, motivation, and punishment. The instillation of a sense of responsibility is seen from the behavior of students in completing assignments, maintaining environmental cleanliness, and obeying school regulations. Through the implementation of this strategy, it is hoped that students can internalize good moral values and apply them in everyday life, thus forming a responsible character.
