Abstract

Cardiovascular endurance is an important component of physical fitness in handball, a sport that demands repeated high-intensity activity. This ability is related to the body's capacity to supply oxygen to muscles during physical activity and can be measured through VO₂Max values. This study aims to determine the level of cardiovascular endurance of handball athletes in Makassar City. The study used a quantitative descriptive method with a population of all handball athletes in Makassar City. The study sample consisted of 16 athletes determined using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through a cardiovascular endurance test using the Multi Stage Fitness Test (Bleep Test) to obtain the athletes' VO₂Max values. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to group the athletes' cardiovascular endurance levels into certain categories. The results showed that the average VO₂Max value of handball athletes in Makassar City was in the low category. This finding indicates that the athletes' cardiovascular endurance is not optimal. The implication of this study is the need for planning and implementing a more systematic, structured, and sustainable physical training program to improve cardiovascular endurance and support the improvement of handball athletes' performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in improving the financial accountability of PT INKA (Persero) Madiun. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that BPKP plays a role in improving financial accountability through internal audit activities, evaluation of internal control systems, and consultative functions to PT INKA management. This role has an impact on increasing compliance with financial regulations and improving corporate governance. However, the implementation of supervision still faces obstacles in the form of the complexity of company operations and limited supervisory resources. The conclusion of the study shows that the role of BPKP is quite significant in encouraging the financial accountability of PT INKA, although strengthening is needed through a risk-based supervisory approach and optimizing the use of information technology.

Abstract

The Leading Teacher Program is a strategic effort to improve the quality of education by strengthening the role of teachers as learning leaders in educational units. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Leading Teacher Program based on the POSC (Planning, Organizing, Staffing, and Controlling) theory and identify the implementation of work programs at the school level. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with literature study and document review methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through analysis of policy documents, program reports, scientific articles, and various library sources relevant to the Leading Teacher Program. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and drawing conclusions based on POSC management function indicators. The results of the study indicate that the planning function has been carried out through the preparation of learning programs and learning communities, but some programs have not fully aligned with school needs. In the organizational aspect, there is still limited collaboration between school members, while the staffing function is seen in the involvement of leading teachers as learning facilitators and agents of change. In addition, the supervisory function is still dominated by administrative evaluations and is not optimally oriented towards learning reflection.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a cloud-based Virtual Learning Lab concept as an alternative to a flexible, cost-effective, and easily accessible computer networking practice laboratory. The research is motivated by the limitations of physical laboratories, such as the high cost of equipment procurement, infrastructure maintenance, and the imbalance between laboratory capacity and the number of students. The research method uses a descriptive conceptual approach through literature studies and analysis of the needs of a cloud-based virtual laboratory system by examining network emulation technology, horizontal elasticity, and auto-scaling. The results of the study produce a virtual laboratory architecture design consisting of a front-end in the form of a user web portal and a back-end in the form of a cloud-based network emulation server. The system is designed to support access across devices and operating systems, provide flexible practicum modules, and manage resources according to user needs. In addition, the study also produces a security management framework through setting access policies, monitoring user activity, and evaluating system security. The research findings indicate that a cloud-based virtual laboratory can improve the accessibility of computer networking practice, support large-scale practicum implementation, and reduce operational costs through a pay-as-you-use scheme, although its implementation still requires technical readiness, security governance, and good curriculum integration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the form of initial reading difficulties in first grade students using the Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) method at SDN Talun 05, Talun District, Blitar Regency. The study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through the EGRA test which covers five aspects, namely recognizing letters, reading meaningful words, reading nonsense words, reading aloud fluency and reading comprehension, and listening and comprehension. The EGRA method is used to early detect the abilities and difficulties of students' initial reading in the lower grades of elementary school. The results showed that the aspect with the highest level of difficulty was reading nonsense words with an average percentage score of 47%, followed by aspects of reading aloud fluency and reading comprehension at 50%, and aspects of listening and comprehension at 52%. Furthermore, the aspect of reading meaningful words obtained an average percentage score of 63%, while the aspect of recognizing letters became the aspect with the highest percentage at 79%. These findings indicate that students still experience difficulties in reading fluency, reading comprehension, and word pattern recognition, so the EGRA method is effectively used as an early diagnostic tool to help teachers identify students' early reading difficulties more systematically.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the world of education, particularly through the use of multimedia-based media such as YouTube, podcasts, and online learning platforms. YouTube has become a widely used medium in the learning process because it can present material in an audio-visual, interactive, and easily accessible manner for students. This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of educational YouTube on student learning motivation. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature review method (library research). Data were obtained from scientific articles, books, and previous research results relevant to the use of YouTube in learning and student learning motivation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of source identification, literature selection based on topic relevance, content evaluation, and conceptual synthesis to find patterns of relationships between the use of educational YouTube and student learning motivation. The results of the study indicate that educational YouTube not only functions as a medium for delivering material but also as a tool capable of increasing student attention, engagement, and interest in learning through the presentation of visual, flexible, and contextual content. Conceptually, the use of YouTube encourages the formation of more interactive and student-centered learning, thereby contributing to increased intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in the learning process.

Abstract

The annual increase in Village Fund allocations has not been fully matched by optimal oversight. Data from Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) shows that cases of Village Fund misappropriation increased during the 2015–2017 period. One such problem occurred in Jeungjing Village, Cisoka District, Tangerang Regency, which experienced delays in submitting the 2017 Phase I Village Fund accountability report. This study aims to evaluate the role of the community in Village Fund oversight in Jeungjing Village. The study used a qualitative method with a case study approach in multiple units of analysis involving the village community, village officials, and supervisory institutions. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed using accountability theory through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that community oversight of Village Fund management is still suboptimal. Low levels of community understanding, minimal concern for oversight, and limited access to information are the main factors that contribute to weak community participation. These conditions have resulted in ineffective social control and accountability processes between the village government and the community
