Abstract

Public financial oversight is a key instrument in ensuring transparency in the management of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of public financial oversight in supporting APBD transparency in Magetan Regency. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilising secondary data collected through the review and analysis of official local government documents, financial reports, relevant regulations, and pertinent academic journals. The data were analysed using content analysis techniques to examine financial oversight practices and their openness to the public. The results indicate that public financial oversight in Magetan Regency has been relatively effective, as evidenced by the attainment of an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the State Audit Agency for three consecutive years during the 2021–2023 period. Nevertheless, the transparency of the APBD has not yet been fully optimised due to the limited publication of budget documents, low public participation in the planning process, and the underutilisation of information technology in the dissemination of budget information. These findings indicate that the strengthening of transparency aspects needs to be carried out continuously so that public financial oversight can have a more tangible impact on the accountability of APBD management

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Islamic Religious Education Learning Planning: A Phenomenological Study of Teachers’ Experiences. The study employed a phenomenological qualitative approach to explore the experiences of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in facing the digital transformation of the Society 5.0 era. Using the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) method, the research examined teachers’ perceptions, beliefs, and subjective experiences. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving 12–15 purposively selected teachers. The analysis followed IPA procedures, while data trustworthiness was ensured through the criteria of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The analysis results indicate that the readiness of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers is understood as a multidimensional construct encompassing technological competence, pedagogical transformation, ethical awareness, and institutional support. The integration of technology, especially AI, in learning is not only technical but rooted in Islamic values and strengthens the human role in the era of Society 5.0. This study has limitations in terms of the relatively small number of participants and context-specific focus on certain madrasahs, so the findings cannot yet be generalized widely. Future research is recommended to expand the locations, involve mixed methods approaches, and examine the effectiveness of AI implementation on learning quality and character development of students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine instructional design based on the principles of pedagogy, andragogy and heutagogy within the context of Islamic education. The study employs a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review of relevant articles from reputable journals, academic books and conference proceedings. Data were analysed using thematic analysis to identify patterns related to learner autonomy, instructional control, and learning outcomes. The findings indicate that instructional design is a dynamic and integrative process that must be capable of adapting to the diversity of learners’ characteristics. Pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy are understood as a continuum of learning approaches reflecting a shift from teacher-centred learning towards self-directed and self-determined learning. In the context of Islamic education, these three approaches complement one another as they align with the integration of intellectual, spiritual, and moral aspects. This study highlights the fundamental differences between the three approaches in terms of the roles of learners and educators, learning orientation, and evaluation strategies; consequently, an integrated instructional design model is required to address the challenges of contemporary education

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need for Islamic education to respond to the diverse characteristics of learners and the demands of independent learning in the contemporary era. Until now, learning practices have tended to focus on a single specific approach, and thus have not fully accommodated the development of learners’ learning autonomy. This study aims to analyse learning designs based on the principles of pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy, as well as their relevance within the context of Islamic education. The research employs a qualitative approach through a systematic literature review of reputable journal articles, academic books, and relevant conference proceedings, with data analysis conducted using thematic analysis. The results indicate that pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy form a learning continuum representing a shift from teacher-centred learning towards learner-determined learning. These three approaches have fundamental differences regarding the roles of learners and educators, the structure of learning, learning orientation, and evaluation strategies; however, they are complementary within Islamic education. The implications of this research emphasise the need for an integrated learning design that is adaptive to learners’ developmental levels and autonomy, and supports the strengthening of lifelong learning in the management of Islamic education

Abstract

This study aims to develop a history learning model based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) that is integrated with Kahoot to improve the historical literacy of students at UPTD SMAN 1 Nosu. The method used is developmental research with a qualitative approach through the stages of analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation. The data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study uses interactive analysis carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the integration of AI and Kahoot is able to create adaptive, interactive, and interesting learning. This model is proven to improve students' abilities in understanding chronology, analyzing sources, and interpreting historical events critically. In addition, student motivation and engagement also increased. Thus, this study still has limitations, particularly in its scope, which was conducted in only one school with a limited number of subjects and its reliance on technology facilities and internet connections in the learning process. Therefore, further research is recommended to involve a wider range of schools, use a more diverse approach, and develop more innovative AI- and Kahoot-based learning models for optimal application in history learning across various educational settings.

Abstract

Science education faces challenges in the form of low student learning outcomes due to the use of learning models that do not actively engage students and have not yet connected the material to the local cultural environment. An alternative that can be applied is the ethnoscience-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study aims to analyze the effect of the ethnoscience-based PBL model on science learning outcomes in elementary schools based on published research findings. The research method used is a literature review by examining various scientific articles obtained from Google Scholar, Sinta and other relevant sources from the period 2016–2026. The article criteria included studies discussing the implementation of the ethnoscience-based PBL model in science learning at elementary schools. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis, which presents findings from various studies systematically and critically without conducting in-depth statistical analysis. The review results show that the ethnoscience-based PBL model has a positive effect on elementary school students’ science learning outcomes, as seen in their conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities. Therefore, the ethnoscience-based Problem Based Learning model is suitable as an alternative innovation in elementary science learning to improve student learning outcomes. Thus, it is recommended that teachers and curriculum developers integrate ethnoscience into science learning, especially in topics related to students’ local environment and culture

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of a civil servant attendance application on employee work discipline at the Buay Pemaca Sub-district Office, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis techniques that include data reduction, data presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing to identify patterns of change in work discipline after the implementation of the attendance application. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of a digital-based attendance application has a direct impact on improving civil servant work discipline, especially in aspects of attendance and punctuality in coming to work. The online attendance system integrated with the national personnel system encourages increased employee compliance because attendance is recorded in real time and is difficult to manipulate. Although technical obstacles such as dependence on the internet network and electricity supply are still encountered, these findings indicate that the use of the attendance application contributes positively to strengthening supervision and forming a more disciplined work culture, in accordance with the objectives of the study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of public financial oversight in Sidoarjo Regency, particularly the internal and external oversight mechanisms in the management of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method sourced from scientific journals, government documents, and laws and regulations related to regional financial management. The results show that financial oversight in Sidoarjo Regency is implemented through two main mechanisms: internal oversight by the Regional Inspectorate as the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) and external oversight by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). Both mechanisms are implemented through audits, evaluations, monitoring, and examinations of regional government financial reports. In addition, the implementation of a regional financial information system plays a role in increasing transparency and accountability in budget management. These findings indicate that the synergy between internal and external oversight, supported by the digitalization of the financial system, contributes to increasing the effectiveness of APBD management in the region. The implications of this study emphasize that strengthening an integrated oversight system is necessary to realize more transparent, accountable, and efficient regional financial governance in supporting good governance in Sidoarjo Regency.
