Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of Islamic families in overcoming the moral degradation that occurs among teenagers in Kaliombo Kulon Hamlet in 2024. Moral degradation is the decline or fading of the values and morals that apply in society. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interviews and documentation methods. Data analysis in this research uses the Miles and Huberman model with four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. Meanwhile, the validity of the data in this research uses a data credibility test with data triangulation. The research results revealed two main findings. First, moral degradation among teenagers in Kaliombo Kulon Hamlet can be seen in the form of impolite behavior such as harsh words, smoking habits and disrespect. Several factors that influence this behavior include the influence of the friendship environment, lack of supervision from parents, and lack of religious education. Second, the role of parents in overcoming moral degradation is very important and includes various actions, such as providing wise advice, maintaining open communication between parents and teenagers, fostering religious values, and being a good role model for their children. This research confirms that the family has a central role in guiding teenagers to have good morality amidst current social challenges. With the right role, Muslim families can help teenagers face the negative influences of their environment and form better characters.

Abstract

This research explores the effect of music therapy on the stress levels of medical students at HKBP Nommensen University. With high study loads and academic pressure, medical students often experience significant stress. For this reason, this research adopts a box music therapy (BmT) approach, which combines technology and music to provide a therapeutic experience. In this study, heart rate (BPM) and galvanic skin response (GSR) sensors were used to measure participants' physiological changes before and after music therapy sessions. The measurement results showed a decrease in BPM from 120 before therapy to 100 after, and a decrease in GSR from 588 to 300, indicating a real relaxation effect. A questionnaire filled out by 28 students showed that 65% of respondents agreed that music therapy helped reduce stress, while 30% strongly agreed. Only 5% felt they were not helped, indicating a significant positive impact for the majority of participants. The music chosen in this therapy plays an important role, with song choices that support a calm atmosphere, including classical and pop music. This study confirms that music therapy is an effective strategy for stress management among medical students. Implementing this therapy in an academic environment can improve students' mental health and their quality of life while undergoing intense education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' problem-solving abilities and mathematical semiotics based on Adversity Quotient (AQ). This qualitative research uses a descriptive approach. The research subjects were selected using an AQ questionnaire and conducted in Class IX F of SMP Negeri 14 Raja Ampat, involving three students divided into three groups. The first group consisted of one climber-type student, the second group included one camper-type student, and the third group included one quitter-type student. Data collection techniques included an AQ questionnaire, tests, and unstructured interviews. Data analysis techniques involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that an analysis of students' problem-solving abilities and mathematical semiotics based on adversity quotient shows that students in the climber category have excellent problem-solving abilities, meeting all four problem-solving indicators according to Polya's theory. These students also demonstrate an understanding of semiotics from Peirce's perspective, successfully solving problems using this approach. Students in the camper category show moderate problem-solving abilities, meeting three indicators: understanding, planning, and executing the problem-solving process, but lack in reviewing their answers. Regarding semiotics from Peirce's perspective, camper-category students can create signs, identify objects, and interpret signs but struggle to complete the final solution. In contrast, quitter-type students display low problem-solving abilities, failing to meet the problem-solving indicators according to Polya's theory or the semiotic indicators from Peirce's perspective.
