Abstract

This activity on anti-bullying and sexual violence was held at SMA N 1 CEPOGO with the aim of increasing students' understanding and awareness of risky behaviors that can occur in the school environment. Using a quantitative approach, this activity was conducted through direct material delivery by the resource person, supported by presentation media, and a question-and-answer session as a means of clarification and student interaction. This socialization, attended by 33 tenth-grade students, took place in several stages: opening, material presentation, discussion, and closing. Based on the implementation results, it was found that many students did not clearly understand the forms of bullying and sexual violence beforehand. However, after socialization, they showed an increase in knowledge and awareness regarding the impact, prevention, and importance of reporting adverse events. This socialization program is effective in fostering student understanding and creating a safer, more comfortable, and supportive school environment for the learning process.

Abstract

Students' ability to perform quantitative data analysis, particularly using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) based on SmartPLS 3.2.9, is still low and has an impact on the quality of student research. This community service activity aims to improve understanding of the basic concepts of PLS-SEM, train technical skills in operating SmartPLS 3.2.9, and strengthen students' abilities in processing and interpreting research data. The training lasted for two days, from September 13 to 14, 2025, and was attended by 79 students from the Management and Accounting Study Programs. The training method was participatory, involving material delivery, practical demonstrations, and case study-based exercises. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' mastery, with the average pre-test score of 42% increasing to 86% on the post-test. This training proved effective in improving students' competence in research data analysis, while also strengthening the research culture at the University of West Sulawesi.

Abstract

Jor Hamlet, Jerowaru Village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency, is a center for shrimp paste production with significant development potential. Limited access to capital is the main constraint due to the low awareness and financial literacy among most entrepreneurs. This situation requires intervention through education, carried out with direct assistance in the form of workshops on the introduction and use of digital financial reporting applications. This training aims to enhance financial management skills in a more practical and professional manner, thereby improving business competitiveness and sustainability. The focus of this mentoring activity is the introduction of the application and practical simulation of automatically preparing financial reports using the BukuWarung application. The structured and effective mentoring method is carried out in three main stages: First, initial analysis and preparation, which involves identifying the partner's needs and preparing materials and manuals. Second, workshops, which involve introducing and directly simulating the use of the BukuWarung application. This includes guidance on downloading the app, introduction to its main features and functions, account creation, recording transactions, evaluating financial reports to measure business performance, as well as interactive discussions. Third, monitoring and evaluation, by ensuring that participants can use the application independently and consistently. This mentoring activity has had a positive impact on entrepreneurs, including improved financial literacy and strengthened commitment to regularly record business activities in financial reports. This practice allows them to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of their businesses.

Abstract

Pig manure often creates environmental pollution and social issues for small-scale farmers. This community service activity empowers pig farmers to utilize manure for biogas production as an alternative energy source and as a bioslurry for organic fertilization. We applied socialization and assistance, and constructed dome-type biogas digesters using locally available materials. We analyzed the potential of biogas based on the number of livestock and daily manure production, then connected this to household cooking energy needs. The results indicate that farmers can use the resulting biogas as a substitute for LPG for cooking, reducing their dependence on LPG. Additionally, bioslurry can serve as organic fertilizer, supporting agriculture and household gardens. Socio-economically, this activity enables energy cost savings, improves environmental conditions around pens, and fosters greater social acceptance of pig farming. Overall, transforming livestock manure into biogas and bioslurry provides a sustainable empowerment model for farmers, which communities can replicate.

Abstract

West Nusa Tenggara is a region prone to natural disasters, requiring strategies to strengthen food security as part of efforts to build community resilience. One potential alternative is mushroom cultivation based on simple technology. This community service activity aims to introduce and implement a technologically advanced mushroom cultivation model to support food security and disaster resilience in Sembalun Bumbung Village, East Lombok. The method used was participatory training with a learning-by-doing approach, involving the local community in all stages of mushroom cultivation, from media preparation and sensor-based environmental control to harvesting and post-harvest. The results of the activity showed that most participants initially lacked knowledge of mushroom cultivation, but after the training, there was an increase in interest and understanding of the economic and consumption benefits of mushroom cultivation. The implementation of mushroom houses with technology to monitor temperature, humidity, lighting, and biogas utilization was deemed effective and easily adopted by the community. Technologically advanced mushroom cultivation has the potential to become an adaptive and sustainable local food source, thus supporting food security and community resilience in the face of natural disasters.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance community capacity in producing and utilizing organic liquid fertilizer to support environmentally friendly agricultural practices in Suka Merindu Village, West Pemulutan Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency. The activity was conducted using a participatory approach that positioned the community as active participants throughout the process. The program stages included initial socialization with community leaders, identification of local potential and problems through focus group discussions, hands-on training on organic liquid fertilizer production using locally available organic waste, and post-training mentoring and monitoring to ensure sustainability. The results indicate that the training program effectively improved participants’ knowledge and technical skills, as evidenced by a substantial increase in post-test scores compared to pre-test results. Participants also reported high levels of satisfaction with the training materials, facilitation, and practical sessions. Furthermore, most participants began applying organic liquid fertilizer in their farming practices, demonstrating the practical relevance and sustainability of the program outcomes. In addition to technical improvements, the activity increased community awareness of the environmental and economic benefits of reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers and utilizing organic waste more productively. Overall, this community service program demonstrates that participatory training on organic liquid fertilizer production can serve as an effective strategy for promoting sustainable agriculture, strengthening farmers’ economic resilience, and encouraging environmentally responsible resource management in rural areas.
