Abstract

The development of curricula is a critical aspect in creating quality education that is relevant to religious values. This study deals with the "Development of Curriculum al-Islam, Kemuhammadiyahan, and Language (ISMUBA)" as a manifestation of the characteristic of education in Muhammadiyah institutions. ISMUBA is not just an abbreviation, but a reflection of the commitment to formulate a curriculum that integrates Islamic values, religion, and language as a holistic unity. This approach creates a holistic and in-depth learning environment, encompassing an understanding of Islamic teachings, the spirit of Muhammadiyah, and the mastery of language as an effective means of communication. The curriculum is designed to build a strong character, good ethics, and language skills that support the development of learners in a global context. ISMUBA also emphasized the active involvement of learners in the development of language skills, both Arabic as the language of the Qur'an and as a means of daily communication. Thus, ISMUBA not only produces graduates who have academic intelligence, but also fosters religious attitudes, humility, and comprehensive language skills. This study details the pedagogical principles underlying ISMUBA, describes the process of curriculum development, as well as gives insight into its impact on character formation and student performance. It is hoped that the implementation of ISMUBA can be an inspiring model for other educational institutions that advance religious values and integrate with general education.

Abstract

The impact of technological developments in the era of globalization is extraordinary. A clear example is in children's education, where children's activities are not well controlled and children often commit crimes and other bad acts. From this we can understand that the implementation of character education in the era of globalization is very important in forming good children's character. This research aims to examine in detail the theory of character education in the view of KH. Ahmad Rifa'i. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach which aims to obtain theories about character education according to KH. Ahmad Rifa'i. The primary sources in this research are several tarajumah books by KH. Ahmad Rifa'i. Meanwhile, secondary sources are books related to this discussion, such as articles, magazines and other literature. According to KH Ahmad Rifa'i, character education can be done through cleansing the heart through worship, habituation and training in forming commendable morals/people with character. To create a person with character, a person must practice the qualities of pinuji wolu, which include: asceticism, qonaah, tawakal, patience, mujahadah, blessing, gratitude and sincerity. The aim is to bring peace of mind, which is obtained because of the attitudes and inner activities that have become a person's character and personality, such as gratitude, sincerity, blessing, qonaah and so on. There are also things that are obtained through struggle and hard work, such as patience in riyadloh and mujahadah against lust.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) in reducing academic anxiety among students at Muhammadiyah and Aisyiah Universities (PTMA) through a systematic literature review. Academic anxiety can affect students' performance and well-being. The method used was a systematic literature review by searching for relevant research articles from electronic databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and ERIC. Inclusion criteria included studies on MBSR, academic anxiety, and Islamic higher education settings, specifically PTMA. The results of the review showed that the majority of studies reported a significant reduction in academic anxiety levels after MBSR intervention. Some studies also showed improvements in academic performance and psychological well-being. However, variations in methodology and research contexts suggest the need for further research in the PTMA setting. In conclusion, MBSR has influence as an effective intervention to reduce academic anxiety among PTMA students, although further research is needed to confirm these findings in the specific context of PTMA.

Abstract

The lack of comprehensive studies discussing the relevance of Mu'tazilah thought in the context of contemporary Islamic social, political, and theological contexts is a major problem in Islamic studies today. In fact, the main values of Mu'tazilah, namely justice, freedom, and rationality, have great potential to respond to various modern challenges, such as social injustice, restrictions on individual freedom, and the weak use of reason in religious and state life. This study aims to review the key concepts of Mu'tazilah and assess their relevance in answering contemporary issues of Muslims. The method used is literature study, through a critical review of classical and contemporary works that discuss Mu'tazilah thought. The results of the study show that Mu'tazilah thought remains relevant in the modern era. Their concept of justice supports the principles of social justice and the supremacy of law in a plural society. The view of freedom is in line with human rights values, although it must still consider local norms and ethics. The rationality they promote opens up space for constructive dialogue between religion and science. Thus, Mu'tazilah thought can be an important foundation in building a more just, rational, and civilized Islamic society, although it still requires reinterpretation to be in line with the dynamics of the times.
