TARBAWY: Indonesian Journal of Islamic Education aims at promoting research in the broad field of Islamic education with particular respect to Indonesia, but not limited to authorship or topical coverage within the region. It is expected to be the medium for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, information, and technology among experts and practitioners of Islamic education. The editorial contents and elements that comprise the journal include: Theoretical articles Empirical studies Practice-oriented papers Case studies Review of papers, books, and resources. As far as the criteria for evaluating and accepting submissions is concerned, a rigorous review process will be used. Submitted papers will, prior to the formal review, be screened so as to ensure their suitability and adequacy to the journal. In addition, an initial quality control will be performed, so as to ensure matters such as language, style of references and others, comply with the journal´s style.

Abstract

Ibn Khaldun’s thoughts can be used to criticize Islamic educational institutions, which tend not to emphasize independent thinking and broaden the subject of study. Only a little development can be expected from established educational institutions such as schools, madrasas, and Islamic boarding schools (Pesantren). Kuttab, as a reborn classical educational institution, has the potential to implement Ibn Khaldun’s educational thinking more flexibly because it does not yet have a standardized learning system. This research is qualitative field research in Kuttab Permata Qur’an. Data related to the implementation of learning in Kuttab Permata Qur’an is examined from the perspective of Ibn Khaldun’s educational concept with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study indicate that education at Kuttab Permata Qur’an is compatible with Ibn Khaldun’s thought in curriculum aspects relevant to the needs of life in society and dignified relations between teachers and students. However, teachers still need to demonstrate a convincing ability to simplify concepts in learning materials.Pemikiran Ibn Khaldun dapat digunakan untuk mengkritisi lembaga pendidikan Islam yang cenderung tidak menekankan pemikiran independen dan memperluas subjek kajian. Hanya sedikit perkembangan yang bisa diharapkan dari lembaga pendidikan yang sudah mapan seperti sekolah, madrasah, dan pesantren (Pesantren). Kuttab sebagai lembaga pendidikan klasik yang terlahir kembali berpotensi mengimplementasikan pemikiran pendidikan Ibn Khaldun secara lebih fleksibel karena belum memiliki sistem pembelajaran yang terstandar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan kualitatif dalam Kuttab Permata Qur’an. Data terkait pelaksanaan pembelajaran dalam Kuttab Permata Qur’an dikaji dari sudut pandang konsep pendidikan Ibn Khaldun dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan di Kuttab Permata Qur’an sesuai dengan pemikiran Ibn Khaldun dalam aspek kurikulum yang relevan dengan kebutuhan hidup masyarakat dan hubungan bermartabat antara guru dan siswa. Namun, guru tetap perlu menunjukkan kemampuan meyakinkan dalam menyederhanakan konsep dalam materi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study examines the internalization of Islamic educational values through nasyid songs. This research is motivated by the phenomenon that today’s songs can not only be used as entertainment media but can also be used as educational media to convey Islamic educational values. This study aims to determine the process of internalizing Islamic educational valuesthrough nasyid songs. This study uses a qualitative approach and a descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out utilizing interviews and documentation studies. From the results of this study, it is known that the internalization of Islamic educational valuesthrough nasyid songs is influenced by the lyrics, rhythm, and appearance of a munsyid in singing nasyid songs and in the process through stages of transformation, transaction, and trans-internalization.Penelitian ini mengkaji internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam melalui lagu nasyid. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena bahwa lagu-lagu masa kini tidak hanya dapat digunakan sebagai media hiburan tetapi juga dapat digunakan sebagai media edukasi untuk menyampaikan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam melalui lagu nasyid. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa internalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam melalui lagu nasyid dipengaruhi oleh lirik, ritme, dan penampilan seorang munsyid dalam menyanyikan lagu nasyid dan dalam prosesnya melalui tahapan transformasi, transaksi, dan trans- internalisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the religious guidance program for prisoners used in Class II B Prison in Pangkalan Berandan, Babalan Regency. To what extent can the results of this spiritual guidance affect the personality of the prisoner in Class II B Prison in Pangkalan Berandan. This research is qualitative in the form of an analytical description. This research data was collected by the method; 1) Observation, 2) Interview, and 3) Document Study. The results of this study indicate that: 1) There are three development programs implemented in Class II B Prison Pangkalan Berandan, Babalan district, namely spiritual development, independence development, and development of national and state awareness. 2) The implementation of religious guidance for convicts is carried out by (permanent) Islamic religious advisors and also prison staff (as a substitute for and monitors convicts). The implementation of the guidance carried out by the Islamic Religious Advisors uses the lecture method (tausiyah), questions and answers, practice, and memorization. 3) The implementation of Islamic spiritual development shows significant results, especially those related to worship, such as prayer, memorizing short verses, and others.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis program bimbingan agama bagi narapidana yang digunakan di Lapas Kelas II B Pangkalan Berandan Kabupaten Babalan. Sejauh mana hasil bimbingan spiritual tersebut dapat mempengaruhi kepribadian narapidana di Lapas Kelas II B Pangkalan Berandan. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dengan bentuk deskripsi analitis. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan metode; 1) Observasi, 2) Wawancara, dan 3) Studi Dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat tiga program pengembangan yang dilaksanakan di Lapas Kelas II B Pangkalan Berandan kecamatan Babalan yaitu pengembangan spiritual, pengembangan kemandirian, dan pengembangan kesadaran berbangsa dan bernegara. 2) Pelaksanaan bimbingan keagamaan bagi narapidana dilakukan oleh penasihat agama Islam (tetap) dan juga petugas penjara (sebagai pengganti dan pengawas narapidana). Pelaksanaan bimbingan yang dilakukan oleh Pembimbing Agama Islam menggunakan metode ceramah (tausiyah), tanya jawab, praktek, dan hafalan. 3) Implementasi pengembangan spiritual Islam menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan terutama yang berkaitan dengan ibadah, seperti shalat, hafalan ayat pendek, dan lain-lain.

Abstract

Teenagers as a big part in this country have an important role in building a safe and peaceful life amidst religious differences. Therefore, moderate character must be instilled in adolescents from an early age. This study examines how character education efforts are made for youth in multi-religious areas and what steps can be taken so that moderate character education can be accepted by the millennial generation. This study aims to reveal character education efforts in multi-religious areas and to design a new approach to character education for the millennial generation. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. Adolescents from different religious backgrounds are gathered in one location to be trained in the understanding and acceptance of religious differences. The results of this study indicate that youth character education in multi-religious areas can be carried out using an informal approach through camps and youth-based activities such as games between heterogeneous groups of adolescents.Remaja sebagai bagian besar di negeri ini mempunyai peran penting dalam membangun kehidupan yang aman dan damai di tengah perbedaan agama. Oleh karena itu, karakter moderat harus ditanamkan pada remaja sejak dini. Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana upaya pendidikan karakter yang dilakukan bagi generasi muda di wilayah multi agama dan langkah apa saja yang dapat dilakukan agar pendidikan karakter moderat dapat diterima oleh generasi milenial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap upaya pendidikan karakter di wilayah multi agama dan merancang pendekatan baru pendidikan karakter bagi generasi milenial. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Remaja yang berbeda latar belakang agama dikumpulkan dalam satu lokasi untuk dilatih pemahaman dan penerimaan terhadap perbedaan agama. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter remaja di wilayah multi agama dapat dilakukan dengan pendekatan informal melalui perkemahan dan kegiatan berbasis remaja seperti permainan antar kelompok remaja yang heterogen.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah: (1) untuk mengetahui bentuk dan teknik program pembinaan wali kelas di SMPIT Nurul Fikri Bogor, (2) untuk mengetahui dampak pembinaan program wai kelas terhadap perkembangan siswa di SMPIT Nurul Fikri Bogor. Informan dari penelitian ini ialah kepala sekolah  koordinator wali kelas, wali kelas. Hasil penelitian ini ialah (1) bentuk program pembinaan wali kelas SMPIT Nurul Fikri Bogor adalah wali kelas dibekai dengan program-program seperti membuat grup diskusi bersama orang tua dan siswa, dalam hal ini bagaimana wali kelas bisa menjalin hubungan yang baik terhadap wai kelas, upgrading wali kelas hal ini seorang wai kelas bersama kepala sekolah, koordinator wali kelas melaksanakan evaluasi atau bisa dikatakan dalam kegiatan ini semua wali kelas mengimformasikan perkembangan siswa-siswanya, welcome drink kelas. Abstract

This article explores character valuesin the local wisdom of Sundanese culture and the “Bandung Masagi” policy as teaching materials in an integrated model of PAI learning in tertiary institutions to build students’ national character. This study chose a qualitative approach with an exploratory study design. The study’s results found that the values’ meaningin local wisdom is closely related to national character. The four values in Sundanese philosophy (silih asah, silih asih, silih asuh, and silih wawangi) are closely related to interpersonal relations (moral character), while the valuesin “Bandung Masagi” (love religion, protect culture, defend the country, and love the environment) closely related to self-mastery (performance character). The entire value of this local wisdom is an indicator of national character, which is very much needed. Through an integrative model, these local wisdom valuescan become teaching materials in PAI learning in tertiary institutions through the internalization stage, namely the provision of reliable information, so that students are confident in this information and become an attitude and displayed in the form of the character of the national love.Artikel ini mengupas nilai-nilai karakter dalam kearifan lokal budaya Sunda dan kebijakan “Bandung Masagi” sebagai bahan ajar dalam model pembelajaran PAI terpadu di perguruan tinggi untuk membangun karakter bangsa mahasiswa. Penelitian ini memilih pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian eksploratif. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa makna nilai-nilai kearifan lokal erat kaitannya dengan karakter bangsa. Keempat nilai dalam filsafat Sunda (silih asah, silih asih, silih asuh, dan silih wawangi) erat kaitannya dengan hubungan interpersonal (berakhlak mulia), sedangkan nilai-nilai dalam “Bandung Masagi” (cinta agama, menjaga budaya, bela negara, dan cinta lingkungan) erat kaitannya dengan penguasaan diri (kinerja karakter). Keseluruhan nilai kearifan lokal ini merupakan salah satu indikator karakter bangsa yang sangat dibutuhkan. Melalui model integratif, nilai-nilai kearifan lokal tersebut dapat menjadi bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran PAI di perguruan tinggi melalui tahap internalisasi yaitu pemberian informasi yang terpercaya, sehingga mahasiswa yakin akan informasi tersebut dan menjadi sikap serta ditampilkan dalam bentuk karakter tentang cinta nasional.

Abstract

The relationship between religion and science is an interesting debate to discuss. The thing that often becomes the point of the problem is the integration between the two. The question is when religion becomes a source of spirit for the development of science and how the two sciences can meet. There is an essential component in the educational process, namely the curriculum. Because the curriculum applied in Indonesia is more oriented to secular Western concepts, it is necessary to integrate religious education with general education. More than that, the question often arises is whether the integration is a form of dissolution or mixing. By a phenomenological approach with descriptive analysis techniques, this research concludes that the integration of the curriculum at the KMI level at Pondok Pesantren Jajar Islamic Center Surakarta can be categorized in the form of dissolution, however in applying this form is not perfect yet; therefore, a review is needed, especially in the implementation of an integrative Curriculum Lesson Plan.Hubungan antara agama dan sains menjadi perdebatan yang menarik untuk dibahas. Hal yang sering menjadi titik permasalahan adalah integrasi antara keduanya. Pertanyaannya adalah kapan agama menjadi sumber ruh bagi perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan bagaimana kedua ilmu tersebut dapat bertemu. Ada komponen penting dalam proses pendidikan, yaitu kurikulum. Karena kurikulum yang diterapkan di Indonesia lebih berorientasi pada konsep sekuler Barat, maka perlu dilakukan integrasi pendidikan agama dengan pendidikan umum. Lebih dari itu, pertanyaan yang sering muncul adalah apakah integrasi itu merupakan bentuk pembubaran atau pencampuran. Dengan pendekatan fenomenologi dengan teknik analisis deskriptif, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi kurikulum tingkat KMI di Islamic Center Pondok Pesantren Jajar Surakarta dapat dikategorikan dalam bentuk disolusi, namun dalam penerapan bentuk tersebut belum sempurna; Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya peninjauan kembali khususnya dalam implementasi RPP Kurikulum integratif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of Islamic education, to analyze the management of character building for students, and to analyze the inhibiting factors for the effectiveness of Islamic education for the management of character development for students at Ummul Mukminin Putri Islamic Boarding School, Makassar City. This qualitative research uses the descriptive analysis method. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of Islamic education is realized in the pesantren coaching system, which refers to the concept of Islamic education, and all the substance of Islamic education is taught by all subject teachers to the students at Ummul Mukminin Putri Islamic Boarding school. The Management of Character Development at the Ummul Mukminin Putri Islamic Boarding School is internalized into several things.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas pendidikan Islam, menganalisis manajemen pembentukan karakter santri, dan menganalisis faktor-faktor penghambat efektivitas pendidikan Islam terhadap manajemen pengembangan karakter santri di Pondok Pesantren Ummul Mukminin Putri. Sekolah, Kota Makassar. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas pendidikan Islam diwujudkan dalam sistem pembinaan pesantren yang mengacu pada konsep pendidikan Islam, dan seluruh substansi pendidikan Islam diajarkan oleh seluruh guru mata pelajaran kepada santri di Ummul Mukminin Putri Islam. Sekolah Berasrama. Manajemen Pembinaan Karakter di Pondok Pesantren Ummul Mukminin Putri diinternalisasikan ke dalam beberapa hal.

Abstract

The existence of private madrasas in the era of capitalization of education with the input of students from marginal and abangan communities with lower economic conditions is indeed a challenge for madrasa managers. This research was conducted at MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkajen (MTs MK) and aimed at uncovering the factors that become the strengths of madrasas so that madrasas continue to exist and continue to develop even with marginal and abangan backgrounds. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach—data collection using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The study results show that the strength factors of MTs MK in the era of educational capitalization are spiritual capital, cultural capital, and social capital, which have implications for economic capital.

Abstract

Analysing the implementation of Islamic education values in the center, the actualization of the Islamic Education values, the implications of cultivating Islamic educational values on the existence of the Pondok Pesantren Bukit Hidayah Malino district of Gowa. The type of research is qualitative descriptive with a methodological approach and scientific with two sources of data: primary and secondary. Data collection through observations, interviews and documentation. Data analysis with data reduction measures, data presentation, and data verification.The results of the research show that, first, the implementation of the cultivation of Islamic educational values is carried out inside and outside the classroom both when the learning process is in progress in class as well as training, such as, study of the book, compulsory prayer, and others. Third, the implications of the cultivation of the values of Islamic education to the existence of the Pondok Pesantren Bukit Hidayah Malino district of Gowa, depicted in the religious atmosphere of the life of the pasantren as well as the presence of the activities of the Ramadan safari, and the activity of the Friday sermon by the Pasantren mansion.
