AbstractThis research was conducted to find out whether or not the Herringbone technique affected the teaching of reading comprehension of narrative text significantly to Year – 10 students of SMKN 03 Pontianak in Academic Year 2018/2019. This research was pre-experimental design with pre-test, post-test and three times of treatments. The data were collected through a multiple-choice test. The sample of the research was taken from Year – 10 AP4 classes which consist of 30 students. The finding showed that the mean score of the students’ pre-test was 66 while the post-test was 86. It showed that the achievement of the students increased after the treatment was conducted. In this research, the researcher used the t-table a (0.05) with a degree of freedom 29 is 1.699 meanwhile, the result of the t-test is 9.70 it means the t-test was higher than the t-table (9.70 > 1.699). The result of the effect size (ES) was 1.82 which was categorized as a strong effect. It showed that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. It proved that the Herringbone technique affects significantly the students’ reading comprehension of narrative text.Keywords: Reading Comprehension, Narrative Texts, Herringbone Technique.

AbstractThe objective of this research was to find out whether there was any improvement on students’ reading comprehension of short functional text after being taught using authentic text materials. Therefore the method used in this research was classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles. Cycle 1 consisted of three meetings and cycle 2 consisted of two meetings. The subject of this research was 22 students of eight grade students of SMP Tunas Karya Pontianak in academic year 2015/2016. The researcher used observation and students’ achievement test to collect the data. The researcher elaborated the result of observation and students’ achievement test result in order to get the research findings. The results of this research showed that there was any improvement on students’ reading comprehension after being taught using authentic materials. After the actions were implemented, the students showed some improvements. They could focus on the lesson and actively participated in teaching learning process. They showed their enthusiastic in reading the text. They also could find the detail information from the text and increased their vocabulary mastery. The students’ individual score in comprehending short functional text also improved and the result was satisfying. In conclusion, the use of authentic materials improved the students’ reading comprehension of short functional texts. Keywords: Authentic mateials, reading comprehension, short functional textsÂ

AbstractThis research aims to determine the effect of interactive learning media based on adobe flash of student learning outcomes on ecosystem material in class X SMA Negeri 1 Siantan. The form of this research is Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent control group design. The study sample was class X MIA 1 (experimental class) and class X MIA 2 (control class). The sampling technique was used saturated sampling. The instrument used was multiple choice test consist of 20 items.The average learning outcomes of eksperimental class which the conclusion was 16,38 while the average in control class was 14,08. Based on Mann-Whitney U test results, obtained Zhitung (-4.04) <-Ztabel (-1.96), that was a significant difference between learning outcomes of studebts who taught by interactive learning media based on adobe flash adobe and student who taught by power point media.Value effect size obtained by 0.99 with high category, it shows that learning by interactive learning media based on adobe flash adobe gives effect of 33.89%. Keywords: Adobe Flash, Learning Outcomes, Ecosystem Material.Â

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of education of parents with the motivation to continue their tertiary education in class XII IPS at SMAN 2 Sungai Raya. The population is 99 students of class XII IPS. The method used is descriptive method. Data collection uses indirect communication techniques and documentary study techniques. The data analysis technique uses chi-square test calculations and contingency coefficient. The results of the study showed that (1) the level of education category possessed by parents of students was mostly upper secondary education with a percentage of 44.4%, (2) The motivation of students to continue their tertiary education is that they have a high level of motivation to continue their tertiary education with a percentage of 38.4% in the very high category, (3)  count >  table = 22,924> 21,026 means that Ho is rejected. This shows that there is a relationship between the level of education of parents and the motivation of students to pursue higher education in class XII IPS at SMAN 2 Sungai Raya. The relationship between the level of parental education and the motivation to continue tertiary education can be said to be moderate, The relationship between the level of parental education and the motivation to continue tertiary education can be said to be moderate. Keywords: Parents' Education Level, Parent's Role, Motivation to Continue College Education.

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of encyclopedia media for biodiversity material of class x high school from the morphology and nutrient content as well the fruit fiber of kalantik (Baccaureamacrocarpa (Miq.) M?ll.Arg), alupm (Aglaiasimplicifolia(Bedd.) Hams) and taroyotn (Horsfieldiacostulata (Warb.) in Tembawang Bagak, Bengkayang District The research was descriptive with purposive sampling technique. The making of encyclopedia media was followed by instrument validation and media validation. The instrument validation was in the form of instrument assessment sheet by two lecturers of Biology Education FKIP Tanjungpura University covering two aspects. Media validationwas done by five validators namely two lecturers of Biology Education FKIP Tanjungpura University, two biology teachers of class X high school in Bengkayang and one biology teacher in class X high school in Kubu Raya District covering four aspects with 13 criteria. The result of instrument validation showed that instrument items were feasible to use but corrected. Media validation the end of the Content Valdity Ratio (CVR) score and Content Validity Index (CVI) meet the minimum Lawshe limit value of 0.99 valid categories, so the encyclopedia was feasible to use as a learning media in schools.Keyword: Encyclopedia, Biodiversity, Kalantik, Alupm and Taroyotn

Abstrak :Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperbaiki kinerja guru dalam peningkat hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Matematika di kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 04 Sebetung. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif, bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dan sifat penelitian dalam penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah kolaboratif. Subjek Penelitian yaitu guru dan peserta didik kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 04 Sebetung yang berjumlah 16 Orang. Metode Yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi langsung. Sedangkan alat pengumpul data adalah lembar observasi guru dan hasil siswa. Data yang dikumpulkan tersebut dianalisis dengan perhitungan rata – rata: 1) Pada Kemampuan guru mengajar perencanaan pelaksanaan pembelajaran Matematika menerapkan metode Demonstrasi dengan rata-rata nilai peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu 0,84. 2) Kemampuan guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran Matematika dengan metode demonstrasi dengan rata-rata nilai peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu 0,18. 3) Penggunaan metode demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata nilai peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu 25.63. Kata Kunci: Belajar Matematika, Metode Demonstrasi  Abstract:The purpose of this research is to increase teacher’s ability in increasing students achievement in study mathematic in class III of Elementary school number 04 Sebetung. method of research used is descriptive method in form classroom Action research bi using collaborative.The subject in this research areteacher’s and students class III of Elementary school 16 students. Technical of this research is direct technical and the tool of collecting data is worksheet of observation for teachers and students the data have been collected is analyzed: 1) in teachers ability in teaching and planning the process of study mathematic withdemonstraction method score from cycles 1 and cycles 2 is : 0.84. 2) Teacher ability in teaching mathematic withdemonstracition method score from cycles 1 and cycles 2 is : 0.18. 3) The using of group work can increase the students achievement with demonstracition method score from cycles 1 and cycles 2 is : 25.63. AbstractThis research was motivated by the desire of researchers to introduce the Barere’an oral literature tradition of the Kapuas Hulu Dayak Ruuk community by reviewing the actans structure and function of folklore in it, Bintang Talu, Siring Bunyo dana Kalang Ating, and Amajik. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The form of this study is qualitative. The approach used in this study is a structural approach. The data source of this research is folklore in the Barere’an tradition, namely Bintang Talu, Siring Bunyo Kalangdana Kalang Ating, and Amajik and the research data is in the form of quotations. Data collection techniques used in this study are direct observation techniques. Based on the research conducted, there were found 3 actans structures in the Bintang Talu story, 2 actans structures in the story ofSiring BunyodanaKalang Ating, and 2 actans structures which were in the Amajik story. Each folklore has 4 functions according to the theory of Wiliam R. Bascom. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ke-efektifitas-an mengajarkan membaca dan memahami teks report dengan menggunakan teknik Venn diagram di kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Teknik ini mengkombinasikan antara pelajaran bahasa Inggris dan Matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan total jumlah 36 siswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasil dari analisis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pre-test siswa meningkat dari 70.44 menjadi 83.61 pada nilai post-test akhir. Hasil analisis dari t-test menunjukkan bahwa mengajarkan membaca dan memahami teks report dengan menggunakan teknik Venn diagram dapat meningkatkan kemampuan belajar siswa. Hasil dari effect size juga membuktikan bahwa teknik Venn diagram di kategorikan sebagai sangat efektif dan berhasil dalam meningkatkan pencapaian siswa dalam memahami teks report. Kata kunci: Membaca, Pemahaman, Venn diagram Abstract: This research aimed to test the effectiveness of teaching reading comprehension of report text by using Venn diagrams technique on the second grade students of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak in academic year 2014/2015. This technique combined between English language and Math subject. The methodology of this research is a pre-experimental research with total 36 numbers of students as the sample of research. The result of analysis on this research showed that the mean score of pre-test improved from 70.44 to 83.61 in the post-test. The result of t-test showed that teaching reading comprehension of report text by using Venn diagram technique can improve students? ability in learning. The result of analysis on effect size also proved that Venn diagram technique categorized as highly effective and succeeded to improve students? achievement in comprehend the report text. AbstractThe purpose of this research was to find out how does reciprocal teaching technique improve student’s reading comprehension of recount text. A classroom action research it was conducted in 3 cycles, each of which consisted of four stages of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The subject of research was XI-IPS 1 students of SMAS Mujahidin Pontianak in Academic Year 2018/2019. Observation and measurement technique were used as the technique of data collecting. Observation checklist, field notes, and reading comprehension test were used as the tools of data collecting. Reciprocal teaching technique could improve student’s reading comprehension through predicting, questioning clarifying, and summarizing. In predicting, the students could understand the content of passage about what will happen next in the text. In constructing the questions, the students could use 5W1H formula to help them creating the questions. Through clarifying, the students clarified their understanding of the text by identifying the linguistics feature of recount text. Through summarizing, the students summarized the text using their own language. The data from reading comprehension test showed that students reading comprehension improved from cycle to cycle. The student’s mean score improved from 45.67 and then improved to 60.51 and up to 81.60.  Key words: Classroom Action Research, Reading Comprehension, Recount                               Texts, Reciprocal Teaching Technique

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pemanfaatan jejaring sosial sebagai media penunjang pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode survey dengan teknik wawancara sebagai alat pengumpul data. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 8 siswa dari perwakilan 4 kelas XI IPS SMAN 1 Tebas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) diketahui 8 siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 1 Tebas tersebut semuanya sudah memiliki jejaring sosial seperti facebook dan twitter mereka sudah lama aktif menggunakannya. 2) Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut diketahui bahwa dari 8 siswa hanya 4 siswa kelas XI IPS yang memanfaatkan jejaring sosial sebagai media penunjang pembelajaran di luar sekolah seperti mencari materi pelajaran, diskusi mengenai materi pelajaran ekonomi dan mendownload materi yang diberikan oleh guru. 3) dari 8 siswa diketahui bahwa 3 siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 1 Tebas nilai MID pada mata pelajaran ekonomi masih belum mencapai KKM yang sudah ditentukan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Kata Kunci : Pemanfaatan Jejaring Sosial Abstract: This study aims to examine the use of social networking as a medium of learning support on economic subjects. The method used in this research is survey method with interview techniques as a means of collecting data. The sample was representative of 8 students from class XI IPS SMAN 4 1 Tebas. The results of this study indicate that 1) note 8 class XI IPS SMAN 1 Tebas are all own social networks like facebook and twitter they had long been active use. 2) Based on these studies it is known that only four of the eight students of class XI IPS students who use social networking as a media supporting learning outside of school such as the search for the subject matter, the discussion on the subject matter of economic and download the materials provided by the teacher. 3) of 8 students is known that 3 students of class XI IPS SMAN 1 Tebas value of MID on economic subjects has still not reached KKM has been determined in the first semester of the 2015/2016 academic year.
