Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru meningkatkan aktivitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran  Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dengan menggunakan metode diskusi di Kelas III. Bentuk penelitiannya  adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik observasi langsung dan dianalisis setelah data terkumpul. Hasil penelitian kemampuan guru merencanakan pembelajaran  diperoleh dari siklus I sampai siklus II mengalami peningkatan dengan rerata rerata sebesar 3,74 (kategori sangat baik). Kemampuan guru melaksanakan pembelajaran dari siklus I sampai siklus II mengalami peningkatan dengan rerata skor sebesar 3,73 (kategori sangat baik). Peningkatan aktivitas fisik dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 83,03 % (kategori sangat baik). Peningkatan aktivitas mental dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 62,50 %  (kategori baik). Peningkatan aktivitas emosional dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 74,22 % (kategori baik).   Kata Kunci : Aktivitas Belajar, Metode Diskusi, IPS   Abstract: This study aimed to describe the ability of teachers improve the learning activities of students in the Social Sciences by using the method of discussion in Class III. Forms of research is descriptive research with direct observation techniques and analyzed after the data was collected. Results of the research ability of teachers plan learning gained from the first cycle to the second cycle increased by a mean average of 3.74 (very good category). The ability of teachers to implement the lessons learned from the first cycle to the second cycle increased with a mean score of 3.73 (very good category). Increased physical activity from the first cycle to the second cycle increased by 83.03% (very good category). Increased mental activity from the first cycle to the second cycle increased by 62.50% (both categories). Increased emotional activity from the first cycle to the second cycle increased by 74.22% (both categories).   Keywords: Activity Learning Method Discussion, IPS

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pengajuan dan Pemecahan Masalah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana pada materi Trigonometri. Penelitian ini berbentuk eksperimen semu dengan rancangan posttest-only control group design. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik pengukuran melalui tes tertulis berbentuk essai. Dari hasil posttest diperoleh skor rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas eksperimen sebesar 10,22 dan skor rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas kontrol sebesar 7,96. Dari hasil perhitungan uji t, diperoleh thitung ttabel atau 2,15 > 2,01 maka terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Perhitungan effect size diperoleh sebesar 0,59, sehingga kontribusi penggunaan Pengajuan dan Pemecahan Masalah masuk dalam kriteria sedang. Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis Pengajuan dan Pemecahan Masalah berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi Trigonometri di kelas X SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana.   Kata Kunci:   Model Pembelajaran Matematika, Pengajuan dan Pemecahan Masalah, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Abstract: This research is aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Posing and Solving to creative thinking abilities of students of SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana on the Trigonometry’s material. The form of this research is quasi experiment with posttest only control group design. The technique to be used is measurement techniques via written tests in the form of essays. From posttest result is known the average score creative thinking abilities of students of experiment class is 10.22 and the average score creative thinking abilities of students of control class is 7.96. From t test calculation, is known thitung ttabel or 2.15 > 2.01 so there are differences in creative thinking abilities of students of experiment class and control class. Effect size calculation is 0.59, so the contribution of Problem Posing and Solving included in medium criteria. Based on these data we can conclude that the Problem Posing and Solving based learning effect on creative thinking abilities of students on the Trigonometry’s material in tenth grade SMA Kristen Abdi Wacana   Keyword:  Mathematics Learning Model, Problem Posing and Solving, Creative thinking ability

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is about the conflicts experienced by the characters in the story line by presenting conflicts that arise within themselves and something that exists outside of themselves. The problem in this study is how internal and external conflict with the characters and the implementation of this research in learning Indonesian. The purpose of this study is to describe the internal and external conflicts in figures and the implementation of this research in learning Indonesian using the novel I am Sarahza by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra. The benefits in this study are divided into two, namely theoretical benefits and practical benefits.The theory used in this research is the structure of novel builders, conflict, psychology in literary works, and literary learning in schools. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find out the implementation of education character through green harmony school program in the elementary school in terms of planning, realization, and evaluation of learning. This research was conducted at the elementary school 62 Singkawang and the elementary school 94 Singkawang. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The informants of the research are the head master, teachers, and students. The techniques to collect the data are structured interviews, observations, and document studies. The steps to analyze the data are data reduction, data display, and drawing the conclusion. Data validity tested by triangulation technique and resources. The result showed that the implementations of education character in the planning, realization, and learning evaluation have been done well and corresponding  with the green school harmony programs.   Keywords: Character Education, Green School Harmony, SERU Learning

Abstract

Abstract: Oral participation is essentially important in English classroom. The writer observed and found that the students of English Education Study Program, Tanjungpura University, tended to be reticent when classroom discussion occured. They chose to remain silent rather than participating actively in the discussion. This study aimed to investigate the reasons for students’ reticence in English classroom using case study method. The participants were 10 students of the 2nd semester students. The participants were chosen by the characteristics of reticence such as tending to be reluctant in responding lecturers’ or other students’ questions, sitting at the middle/back rows, and rarely asking questions (rarely raising hand). Using direct observation and semi-structured interview, the study found that the main reasons of students’ reticence were anxiety, shyness, unfamiliarity with the topics/materials, low English proficiency, fear of making mistakes, lacking confidence in oneself, and being underprepared. Based on the findings, it showed that affective, individual, and psychological factors had a great influence on students’ reticence. Keywords : Students’ Reticence, Reasons, English Education Abstrak: Partisipasi secara lisan sangat penting di kelas bahasa Inggris. Penulis mengamati and menemukan bahwa mahasiswa dari program studi pendidikan bahasa Inggris, universitas Tanjungpura, cenderung bersikap diam ketika diskusi kelas berlangsung. Mereka memilih untuk tetap diam daripada berkonstribusi di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi alasan-alasan mahasiswa menjadi bersikap diam di kelas bahasa Inggris menggunakan metode studi kasus. Peserta dari penelitian ini adalah 10 mahasiswa semester dua. Peserta ini dipilih berdasarkan kararteristik dari sikap diam yaitu cenderung menolak dalam merespon pertanyaan dosen atau mahasiswa yang lain, duduk di barisan tengah atau belakang, dan jarang bertanya (jarang mengangkat tangan). Dengan menggunakan pengamatan langsung dan interview semi-struktur, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa alasan utama mahasiswa bersikap pendiam adalah cemas, malu, tidak terbiasa dengan topik/materi, kemampuan Bahasa Inggris yang rendah, takut salah, kurang percaya diri, dan kurang persiapan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat terlihat bahwa faktor afektif, faktor individual, dan faktor psikologi sangat mempengaruhi sikap diam mahasiswa. Abstract

Abstract“The Ability To Listen To Folklore Text On Students Of Class  X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak” This study aim is to describe the ability in listening to folklore text on students of class X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive method and quantitative research form. Based on the results of the calculation of percentage in the data analysis, it can be concluded that the percentage of students' ability to determine the character and the characterization on the folklore text is 87% that labeled as "Very good". Students' ability to determine the background on the folklore text is 84% that categorized as "Good". Based on the calculation of both aspects, it can be concluded that the students' ability to determine the character, characterization and background on the folklore of class X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak is 85% that categorized as "Good". Keywords:            Ability, Listening, Folklore.

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this study were to measure the feasibility of the flipbook  as the learning media sub of the fern (Pteridophyta) materials of senior high school class X. The form of the study with descriptive method. Validation sheet was used as the intrument of research. The flipbook media was examined by two lecturers of biologic education study program of FKIP Untan and three of biology teachers of class X in three different school in sebawi district and the surrounding. Based on the assessment of validators, the flipbook  was valid with the average score Content Validity Index (CVI) 0,88 and feasible as the learning media sub of the fern (Pteridophyta) materials. Key words: Feasibility, flipbook, ferns.

Abstract

AbstractThis study discusses the leadership of the library chief on the performance of employees at the University Library Tanjungpura. The purpose of this study is to knowthe role of the head of library leadership in improving the performance of employees, constraints the head of the library in improving the performance of employees, as well as efforts made the head of the library as pemipin in the library of Tanjungpura University. In this study, the authors retrieve data using qualitative and descriptive methods. Abstract

AbstractThis research is drived by the lacking of students character education value understanding on SMP Negeri 1 Segedong. This is proved as well by the achievement percentage of students attitude in attending the class which rated very low (SK) that is 19,44% or 7 out of 36 students. The purpose of this research was to increase the students character values. This research used a descriptive approach by the application of Classroom Action Research which is held in pre cycle and 3 cycle application of action. The sample chosen is a purposive sampling on the B class of 8th grade which has the character value understanding problem. The technique applied in data collecting is a direct observation and scoring technique, and the technique applied in data analysis is a descriptive qualitative analysis and descriptive qualitative analysis. According to the analysis result about the increasing of students character educational value by applying the study of pantun berdendang as a media is concluded that has increasing progress in the students understanding of achievement which could reach 100%. This result concludes that the applied study of pantun berdendang as a media of study in this research could increase the students character value understanding. Keywords: study of pantun berdendang, character education

Abstract

AbstractThe  problem in this study is whether Acceleration  Balance Coordination (ABC) Running  affects  the  power of  leg muscles  of  students  in  extracurricular  MAN  1  Pontianak.  The  purpose  of  this  study  was to  determine  the  effect  of ABC  training  running  on  the  strength of  leg  muscle  power  in  jumping  smash  of extracurricular volleyball game MAN 1 Pontianak The population in this study were 12 people. By taking samples using saturated sample techniques, the number of samples is 12 people. The method used is an experiment with pre-experimental design. Data analysis techniques use the t-test formula. Based on the results of this t-test, obtained t count itung (>) t table, namely the value of t count 1.52 and t table 2.89 with a significant rate of 5%. Then Ho is refused and Ha is accepted. This means that there is an influence on the 12.44% running ABC coordination (ABC) running, on the extracurricular leg muscle power of MAN 1 Pontianak.Keywords: Exercise, ABC running, Power, Volleyball.
