Abstract

AbstractThis study contains an analysis of interpersonal communication skills in students Class XI Negeri 6 Pontianak. Academic Year 2018/2019. Deep problems This research is (1) How is the openness of students' interpersonal communication Class XI Negeri 6 Pontianak? (2) How is empathy for interpersonal communication the eleventh grade students of Pontianak 6 Public Middle School? (3) What is the attitude support interpersonal communication Class XI Negeri 6 Pontianak Students? (4) How is the positive attitude of interpersonal communication in eleventh grade students at Pontianak 6 Public High School? (5) How about equality of interpersonal communication Class XI students in Pontianak 6 Public High School? This research uses the method descriptive in the form of a survey. The research subjects were 51 eleventh grade students. Indirect communication and Questionnaire are used as techniques and tools data collection. Technical analysis uses percentages. Based on, students in eleventh grade in SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak reached 82% of Interpersonal Communication and was categorized as "high" interpersonal skills. Based on the description above, in general it can be seen that interpersonal communication made by students of class Xi Of Sma Negeri 6 Pontianak is quite high. Keywords: Communication, Interpersonal Skills

Abstract

Abstract:This research investigated the use of Whole Brain Teaching method in teaching self-introduction. Whole Brain Teaching method is a method designed toward maximizing student’s engagement, and focusing on the way the brain is really designed to learn. The seventh grade students were chosen because based on the syllabus that self-introduction is a material for seventh grade students; there are 29 students of Junior High School Bina Kusuma Nanga Pinoh as participants. The type of this research is pre-experimental, that was made to try out the use of the Whole Brain Teaching method in teaching self-introduction. The purposes of doing this research were to investigate the effectiveness and the effect size of using Whole Brain Teaching method in teaching self-introduction.The writer used the measurement technique to collect the data and the tool of data collection was speaking rubric assessment. The data which have been collected are analyzed by using the speaking scoring rubric from Cohen, et al, and modified by the writer. The research found that the use of Whole Brain Teaching method is effective in teaching self-introduction, where tratio=6.17 is higher than tcritical=2.048 and the use of Whole Brain Teaching method gives a strong effect toward the students’ ability in performing self-introduction in English, where ES=1.11. Whole Brain Teaching method can be an alternative solution for teacher to teach the students since it can help the students in comprehending self-introduction. Keywords:Whole Brain Teaching method, Self-introduction Abstrak:Penelitian ini menginvestigasi penggunaan metode Whole Bran Teaching dalam mengajar self-introduction. Metode Whole Brain Teachig adalah metode yang di desain untuk memaksimalkan keikutsertaan siswa, dan focus pada bagaimana otak memang di desain untuk belajar. Siswa kelas tujuh dipilih karena berdasarkan silabus bahwa self-introduction adalah materi untuk siswa kelas tujuh; sebanyak 29 siswa dari Sekolah Menengah Pertama Bina Kusuma Nanga Pinoh yang menjadi peserta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pre-eksperimental, yang dibuat untuk mencoba penggunaan dari metode Whole Brain Teaching dalam mengajar self-introduction. Maksud dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi efektivitas dan effect size dari penggunaan metode Whole BrainTeaching dalam mengajar self-introduction. Penulis menggunakan measurement technique untuk mengumpulkan data dan alat untuk mengumpulkan data adalah rubrik penilaian berbicara. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan rubrik penilaian berbicara dari Cohen, dkk, dan dimodifikasi oleh penulis. Penelitian menemukan bahwa penggunaan metode Whole Brain Teaching efektif dalam mengajar self-introduction, dimana tratio=6.17 lebih tinggi dibandingkan tcritical=2.048 dan penggunaan metode Whole Brain Teaching member efek yang kuat untuk kemampuan siswa dalam mempraktikkan self-introduction dalam Bahasa Inggris, dimana ES=1.11. metode Whole Brain Teaching bias menjadi sebuah solusi alternatif untuk guru dalam mengajar siswa karena hal tersebut dapat membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan self-introduction. Kata Kunci: Metode Whole Brain Teaching, Self-introduction

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi fluida dinamis setelah diberikan remediasi menggunakan multimedia interaktif. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan berupa pre-experimental design dengan rancangan tipe one-group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini melibatkan 29 siswa yang dipilih secara intact group. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan perubahan persentase jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi dari 39% menjadi 8% dengan rata-rata persentase penurunan sebesar 31%. Selain itu, diperoleh juga perubahan persentase jumlah miskonsepsi siswa sebesar dari 40% menjadi 7% dengan rata-rata persentase penurunan sebesar 33%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan multimedia interaktif dapat mereduksi jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi serta jumlah miskonsepsi siswa. Maka multimedia interaktif dapat menjadi alternatif pada pembelajaran fisika untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa. Kata Kunci: Remediasi, miskonsepsi, multimedia interaktif. Abstract: This research was aimed to investigate the reduction of amount of students who experienced the misconception on fluid dinamic learning material after they have been treated by using multimedia interactive in remediation activity. Pre-experimental design was conducted with one group pre-test post-test design. This study enganged twenty nine students who were choosen by intact group. The result of data analysis showed that the percentage of amount of students who experienced the misconception was changed from 39% to 8% within the average percentage of reduction 31%. Besides, the percentage of amount of student’s misconception was changed from 40% to 7% within the average percentage of reduction 33%. The data showed that the use of multimedia interactive can reduce the amount of students who experienced the misconception and the amount of student’s misconception. Multimedia interactive can be used as alternative way of remediation activity in physics learning. Keywords: Remediation, Misconception, Multimedia Interactive

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to get an idea of how much influence tutoring programmed by the school board and the motivation to learn what is being done mentors, so that lessons can be run effectively and efficiently every year in order to deal with the Exam National Standard School (USBN). The research is ex post facto study with explanatory research design. Data collection techniques, namely questionnaires and documentation, as well as data analysis using multiple linear           regression.The test showed partial regression coefficient value of partial tutoring of 58 %, which means there is an influence given to the results of Test tutoring National Standard School economic subjects, while 42 % are influenced other factors beyond the variable of the study.The value of the partial regression coefficient of motivation to learn as much as 16.42 %, which means that the contribution of motivation on the results of the National Standard School Test  economic subjects, while 83.58  % are influenced by other  outside the variable of the study. The result is no effect simultaneously from the adjusted R-square test was found to be  77.4  %, while the remaining 22.6  % is the influence of other variable not examined.Keywords: Tutoring, Motivation To Learn And Test Of The National Standard (USBN)

Abstract

AbstractThe research on the pronouns' deiksis, place, and time on the novel Genduk Karya Sundari Mardjuki focuses on the description of the use of pronouns dexterity, place and time. This is in accordance with the formulation of the problem, namely: (1) How is the use of pronouns deiksis at Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? (2) How is the use of place deixis at Sundari Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? (3) How is the use of time deixis in Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk? This study aims to Describe the use of pronouns deiksis, place, and time on Sundel Mardjuki's Sundel Genduk and conclude it. This research uses descriptive and qualitative method. Sources of data and research data are novel Genduk Sundari Mardjuki and quotations or sentences that show the use of pronouns deiksis, place, and time. Data collection techniques used are documentation and data collection tool is a researcher as a key instrument by recording data that are quotations or sentences containing pronouns deixis, place, and time. Abstract

AbstractThe objective of this research was to improve students? speaking ability in describing place using Think-Pair-Share (TPS) technique for the tenth grade students in class IPA 3 of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 1 Pontianak. This research was a classroom action research. The result showed that the use of Think-Pair-Share technique made the students become more active in speaking activity, particularly in describing place by using English and gave positive response or feedback during teaching and learning process. Think it out in Think activity helped students to use and practice their vocabulary in terms of adjectives which relevant with the topic given. Partners? correction in Pair activity in which students were allowed to give correction of their partner?s mistakes in pronouncing English words helped them to practice their pronunciation as well to pronounce the words with better pronunciation. Turn-taking description in Share activity helped students to practice oral description by using better pronunciation, relevant adjectives and simple present tense correctly. These findings were also supported by the result of students? speaking scores in which the mean score improved from 59,1 in Cycle 1 to 72,6 in Cycle 2 then it was 79,6 in Cycle 3. In conclusion, Think-Pair-Share technique improved students? speaking ability in describing place, particularly in the aspects of pronunciation, the use of adjectives, and the use of simple present tense.Keywords: Speaking Ability, Think-Pair-Share technique, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was carried out at Kinderworld Sungai Raya Dalam Kindergarten with 6 children, 5-6 years and  one teacher.The form of this research is qualitative research and the method in this study is a case study method. The techniques used are direct communication techniques, techniques, techniques. Incredible data collection tools. The results of this study are (1) the singing method is a method that can be used by teachers to practice English so that children can express themselves through songs they hear, and can increase children's self-confidence. (2) conversational methods are very effective in training English-speaking children in Kinderworld Kindergarten. Children become brave to say sentences using English. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the influence of application the jigsaw type to the learning outcomes of Civic Education students in Primary School. The method used is the experimental method. This research using Pre-Experimental Design with form One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this research are all students in grade IV SD 15 Pontianak Selatan with a total of 21 students. The data collection technique is a measurement technique. The data collection tool used is a test. Based on the data analysis, the result of average pre-test is 50,05 and post-test is 56,71. After t-test is obtained tcount of 1,84,while ttable with db = 2 –1  = 20 and significant level (α) = 5% is 1,725, it turns out tcount > ttable or 1,84 > 1,725, then Ha accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of application the jigsaw type to the learning outcomes of Civic Education students in Primary School. Based on the results of the calculation of the effect size obtained 0,36 which is classified in the medium category, namely in the range of effect size of .50 is medium. Thus it can be said that application the jigsaw type gives a medium influence on the learning outcomes of Civic Education students in Primary School. Keywords: Influence, Jigsaw Type, Learning Outcomes Of Students, Civic Education

Abstract

AbstractThis research presents a study that focuses on the study of oral literature, namely engkana masuk padi. The rapid development of Science and Technology has led to a reduction in engkana speakers, so that it is possible for the next few years this tradition will disappear. A study of oral literary texts engkana masuk padi is needed so that it can be preserved. The focus of the problem in this study is the cultural values, functions, and engkana masuk padi identity. The method used in this study is descriptive analysis. The steps of data collection are done by recording, transcribing, editing, translating, identifying, classifying, interpreting, and concluding. The results of the analysis of cultural values that describe the relationship between humans and God are the existence of offerings. Human relations with oneself, namely hard work, developing work ethics and learning, never give up, patience, honesty and wisdom. Human relations with the surrounding nature, namely the use of natural resources. Human relations with each other, namely mutual cooperation, caring, willing to sacrifice, be helpful, forgive, love, and devote to parents. The results of function analysis, namely: as a way to convey the origin of events; as a means to inherit trust; as a projection system; as a means to inherit traditional living procedures, customs and habits; as a means of forcing and supervisors so that the norms of society will always be obeyed by their collective members; and as a means of releasing social pressures. The results of identification identity of the Kubitn Dayak community are: The Kubitn Dayak community as an agrarian community; The Kubitn Dayak community as an religion community; The Kubitn Dayak community as a solider community; and The Kubitn Dayak community as an ecological community. Keywords: Engkana, masuk padi, identity, Dayak Kubitn.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to know and describe the teacher?s class management, student?s learning activities, student?s respond and student?s outcomes in the implementation of reciprocal teaching approach in the operation of fraction topic at class VII SMPS LKIA Pontianak. The research method is descriptive method. The form of research is preexperiment with One Shot Case Study design.The research subjects are 15 students. Based on data analysis that review four aspects, the results are : (1) the teacher?s class management categorized very good with an average score 3,94; (2) student?s learning activities categorized active withan average percentage score 83%; (3) student?s respond categorize positive with percentage score 81%; and (4) student?s outcome is not reached classical completeness with only 67% of student can achieve the criteria of minimum completeness. Because only three out of four aspects that achieved, the conclusion of this research is the implementation of reciprocal teaching approach is not effective to apply in the operation of fraction topic at class VII SMPS LKIA Pontianak.
