Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model on student learning outcomes in Social Studies (IPS) for eighth-grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 12 Pematangsiantar in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample was selected through purposive sampling: class VIII-4 as the experimental group using the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model, and class VIII-3 as the control group using the conventional (lecture) method, with 32 students in each class. The research instrument consisted of a multiple-choice test with 25 items, which had been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty level, and discriminating power. The validity test showed that all items were valid (r count > r table = 0.349), with the highest validity coefficient being 0.8019 and the lowest 0.3665. The instrument's reliability was 0.807 > 0.396, indicating that the test was reliable. The normality test indicated that both classes had normally distributed data (X² count < X² table), and the homogeneity test indicated that both groups were homogeneous (F count = 1.025 < F table = 1.804). The results showed that the experimental class had an average score of 80 with a standard deviation of 10.36, while the control class had an average score of 74.25 with a standard deviation of 10.10. The t-test revealed t count = 2.21 > t table = 1.67, indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two classes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model has a significant influence on student learning outcomes in Social Studies and is more effective than the conventional method.

Abstract

Awareness of environmental issues is driving the retail industry to adopt green marketing strategies as an effort to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, there are still issues regarding low consumer loyalty amidst intense competition and sustainability demands. This research aims to analyze the influence of green marketing and brand image on consumer loyalty in the context of achieving SDGs, specifically in the retail industry of Tangerang Regency. This research uses a quantitative approach with 200 respondents selected thru purposive sampling. Data was collected thru Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression via SPSS. The analysis results show that green marketing has a significant positive effect on consumer loyalty with a coefficient of 0.412 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), contributing 41.2% of the influence. Brand image also has a significant positive effect with a coefficient of 0.368 and a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), contributing 36.8%. Simultaneously, both variables explain 62.5% of the variation in consumer loyalty (R² = 0.625). This finding indicates that consistent implementation of green marketing and building a brand image aligned with sustainability values can significantly increase consumer loyalty and support the achievement of SDGs in the retail sector.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study aimed at determining the influence of using social media as a learning resource on the economics learning outcomes of grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Siantar. This approach was used to describe the relationship between existing variables without any manipulation or direct intervention. The instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of 25 statement items, of which 20 were declared valid (rcount > rtable 0.333) and reliable with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.754. The data normality test using the chi-square test showed that the data were normally distributed. The simple linear regression analysis resulted in the equation Y = 46.975 + 0.491X, indicating a positive relationship between social media and learning outcomes. Hypothesis testing using the t-test showed that tcount (4.883) > ttable (1.663), indicating a significant influence. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.2209, which means that the contribution of social media use to learning outcomes was 22.09%, while the remaining 77.91% was influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Thus, the use of social media as a learning resource provides a positive and significant contribution to students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

In the wastewater management process at Semilar Palm Oil Mill, sludge accumulation in the carriage tippler transfer pit often obstructs flow to subsequent treatment units. To address this issue, an automatic sludge pumping system was designed and implemented using a submersible pump, strainer, and float level switch. This system is engineered to operate automatically based on sludge level, eliminating the need for manual operation by workers. The design involved selecting a submersible pump suitable for sludge characteristics and required flow rate, installing a strainer to prevent large solid particles from entering and clogging the pump, and using a float level switch with dual-point control (high and low levels) to automate the pump's start-stop cycle. The system was installed directly in the transfer pit and calibrated for stable performance in a muddy and corrosive environment. Implementation results show that the system significantly reduced the pit drainage time and minimized downtime due to clogging. During the trial period, the system operated reliably, responded effectively to sludge level changes, and improved operational efficiency by reducing manual intervention. This system provides a reliable and practical solution for sludge handling in palm oil mills while supporting more efficient and environmentally friendly waste management practices.

Abstract

This study investigates the development strategy of an agriculture-based tourism village and the role of agricultural extension workers in Sukomakmur, Kajoran, Magelang. The research employed Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE), External Factor Evaluation (EFE), the Internal–External (IE) matrix, SWOT analysis, and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) to formulate and prioritize strategies. Results of IFE and EFE indicate that strengths such as village regulation, natural potential, active farmer and tourism groups, proactive extension workers, and preserved local wisdom outweigh weaknesses, while opportunities from digital promotion, tourism market expansion, and stakeholder support are greater than threats such as climate risks, competition, and changing trends. The IE matrix positioned Sukomakmur in the growth and build quadrant, showing strong internal capacity and external opportunities. SWOT and QSPM analyses highlighted WO1 (utilizing stakeholder support to increase capital and infrastructure) and SO1 (optimizing digital promotion of natural landscapes) as the most prioritized strategies, followed by ST1 (assisting farmers in mitigating crop failure risks) and WT2 (developing SOPs to protect agricultural land from tourism impacts). The findings emphasize the pivotal role of agricultural extension workers as facilitators, mentors, and mediators in empowering local communities, strengthening institutional collaboration, and ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of agrotourism development.
