Abstract

Cognitive development is the interaction of human maturity with environmental influences. This research aims to improve children's cognitive development through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) Integrated Learning Activities so that it can become a reference for PAUD institutions. This classroom action research used qualitative methods involving 20 children aged 5-6 years. Data is collected through children's performance and observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out through qualitative descriptive techniques using percentage formulas. The results of research in cycle 1 showed that children's cognitive development was still low, with details of developing very well (BSB) in 1 child (5%), developing as expected (BSH) in 7 children (35%) starting to develop (MB) 9 children (45 %) and not yet developed (BB) to 3 children (15%). Based on these results, planning for cycle II was carried out with improvements including the game tools used and learning media. The results obtained in cycle II were better than cycle I with details: developing very well (BSB) 10 children (50%) developing as expected (BSH) 8 children (40%), starting to develop (MB) 2 children (10%). Based on this data, it shows that STEAM integrated learning can improve children's cognitive development.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview or offer thematic learning designs of Islamic religious education using scientific theories and principles of digital era education. This research method uses a qualitative approach to library research (library research). Following the topics discussed, the researcher categorizes data sources into primary data sources studied from library sources on PAI thematic education and library sources on digital era education. Secondary data sources include supporting data from library materials relevant to the discussion, books, theses, dissertations, journal articles, etc. Data collection techniques used observation and documentation techniques; finally, for data analysis techniques, researchers used content analysis techniques, inductive analysis, deductive analysis, descriptive analysis, and interpretive analysis. The study results show that with PAI thematic learning designs based on digital era education, you can obtain planning patterns that align with the theories and principles of digital era education. Both are seen from the learning communication approach, learning approach methods, and learning strategies. Second, the PAI thematic learning implementation pattern can be implemented by integrating e-learning platforms from social media, video conferencing, learning videos, digital literacy media, and media submit assignments. Finally, the PAI thematic learning evaluation system may use various websites, including Google Forms, Quizlet, and Classroom.

Abstract

The development of translation technology, whether through machines or humans, has created a new paradigm in cross-language information exchange. This research aims to carry out a comparative analysis between translation results produced by machine translation systems and human translations. The method used in this research is qualitative in a comprehensive literature review aimed at understanding the latest developments in translation technology, with a particular focus on comparing machine and human translation. The data collection technique is through a literature review system from the study of scientific articles and data analysis using a qualitative approach. The results show that comparisons between machine and human translation involve careful assessment of each method's accuracy, consistency, and flexibility. While machine translation excels in speed and consistency, human translation provides advantages in terms of depth of accuracy and greater flexibility. The results of this research will provide a valuable contribution to further understanding of the role of technology in the translation industry and its implications for the use of translation in various communication contexts.

Abstract

Gadgets are one of the results of technological developments that have sophisticated capabilities, where the wider community cannot be separated from one group of gadget users. This research aims to determine self-control of gadget dependence among Nurul Hasanah students in the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. This type of research is Quasi-experimental with a Pre test-post test one group design type. The subjects in this research were 6 students in class VIII-3 who had high gadget dependency scores. The instrument used is the gadget dependency scale. Instruments were given before and after the implementation of group counseling services. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to see whether there was an effect of providing self-control technique group counseling services on student gadget dependence. This was obtained from the results of calculations with the initial test score (pre-test) in the experimental group obtained an average of = 102.14 while the post-test data obtained an average of = 66.36. The results of this research can be obtained from the Wilcoxon test which shows that in the Wilcoxon test obtained J count = 9 while J table = 0. From the table of critical values J for the Wilcoxon test is marked with the power n=6, α= 0.05 in accordance with the acceptance and rejection criteria hypothesis then the hypothesis is accepted if Jcount > Jtable, namely Jcount>Jtable where 9 > 0, from this calculation it can be seen that the treatment in the experimental group means the hypothesis states that there is a significant influence of providing group counseling services on self-control techniques on gadget dependence in class VIII students - 3 at Nurul Hasaniah School Medan for the 2023/2024 academic year can be accepted.
