Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Islamic education brings significant changes to the learning system, pedagogical approach, curriculum development, and spiritual development of students. This study aims to analyze the transformation of Islamic education in the era of artificial intelligence through the perspective of Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah. The study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach through a review of various scientific literature, educational theories, and contemporary thinking on AI and Islamic education. The results show three main findings. First, AI makes a positive contribution to the effectiveness, personalization, and accessibility of learning through adaptive learning systems, intelligent tutoring systems, and digital education platforms that can improve the quality of the teaching and learning process. Second, in the dimensions of pedagogy and curriculum, AI encourages the creation of student-centered learning models, improves critical thinking skills and creativity, and demands the reconstruction of the Islamic education curriculum by integrating digital literacy, AI ethics, and Islamic values ​​in a balanced manner. Third, in the spiritual dimension, AI integration should not only be oriented towards technological advancement, but should also strengthen moral awareness, spiritual intelligence, and humanistic values ​​grounded in Islamic teachings. The Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah perspective serves as an ethical foundation to ensure that the implementation of AI in Islamic education continues to support the protection of religion, reason, morality, and human well-being. Therefore, the integration of AI in Islamic education needs to be directed towards creating an educational system that balances technological innovation and the strengthening of spirituality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the learning by playing method in improving the motor development and creativity of students at Daru Khoir Kindergarten, North Lampung. This study uses a qualitative field research method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and students. The application of the learning by playing method is carried out through various educational activities such as movement games, drawing, coloring, building blocks, collages, and interactive group games. The results of the study show: first, the application of the learning by playing method is carried out through active, interactive, and fun play-based learning so that students are easier to follow the learning process and are directly involved in various motor and creative activities. Second, supporting factors for the development of motor and creativity of students include interesting learning methods, the active role of teachers, and the availability of educational learning media, while inhibiting factors include limited children's concentration, excessive use of gadgets, and limited certain learning facilities. Third, the application of the learning by playing method has positive implications for the development of gross and fine motor skills, increased creativity, self-confidence, social skills, and the creation of a more participatory and enjoyable learning atmosphere. Thus, the learning by playing method is an effective learning alternative in supporting the development of early childhood in the PIAUD environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strengthening of religious moderation through multicultural learning for students at STAI Ibnurusyd Kotabumi in the digital era. This research is motivated by the increasing challenges of intolerance, radicalism, and the spread of unverified religious information through digital media that influence students' mindsets. The research approach uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of lecturers and students involved in the multicultural learning process on campus. The results of the study indicate that: first, the implementation of multicultural learning is carried out through the integration of values ​​​​of tolerance, respect for diversity, open dialogue, and the use of digital media in the learning process. Second, supporting factors for strengthening religious moderation include institutional commitment, the role of lecturers, a harmonious academic environment, and the use of digital media as an educational tool. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors are low student digital literacy, the negative influence of social media, and the persistence of exclusive religious understanding. Third, multicultural learning has positive implications for increasing students' attitudes of tolerance and religious moderation. Students become more open to differences, able to think critically about digital information, and develop social awareness in maintaining harmony in a pluralistic society. This research confirms that multicultural learning is an effective strategy for strengthening students' religious moderation in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning evaluation strategy of Islamic Education in improving the quality of learning in modern Islamic Elementary Schools. The study used a qualitative approach with a field study method in six Islamic Elementary Schools in Kotabumi, North Lampung. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that first, the implementation of the learning evaluation strategy of Islamic Education has led to the use of authentic evaluation through the assessment of worship practices, religious projects, observation of attitudes, and digital media that can increase student engagement and creativity in learning. Second, supporting factors for the evaluation strategy include teacher competence, support from the principal, technological facilities, and parental involvement, while inhibiting factors include limited teacher digital skills, minimal supporting facilities, and high administrative burdens. Third, the learning evaluation strategy has positive implications for improving the quality of Islamic Education learning, especially in increasing learning motivation, learning effectiveness, and strengthening students' religious and social character. Thus, the learning evaluation strategy of Islamic Education plays an important role in creating innovative, effective, and Islamic character-oriented learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of the school climate through the mentoring of the Love Curriculum based on the character of compassion at MA Al-Islamiyah. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that first, the implementation of the Love Curriculum is carried out through the integration of the value of compassion in learning activities, the school's religious culture, the habit of politeness, respect for teachers, and strengthening students' social awareness. Second, the success of the school climate transformation is influenced by supporting factors such as the commitment of the madrasah principal, the active role of teachers, religious culture, and parental support, while inhibiting factors include low awareness of some students, the influence of digital media, limited mentoring, and less than optimal synergy between schools and families. Third, the mentoring of the Love Curriculum has positive implications in the form of increased harmonious relationships between teachers and students, the creation of a conducive learning atmosphere, the development of tolerance and social awareness, and the formation of a humanistic and religious school culture. This study confirms that the Love Curriculum can be an effective strategy in strengthening character education and improving the school climate in madrasas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Artificial Intelligence in transforming Islamic education learning based on spiritual and humanistic values. The development of digital technology has brought about major changes in the world of education, including in the learning process of Islamic education. The presence of Artificial Intelligence provides opportunities to create learning that is more innovative, interactive, flexible, and adaptive to the needs of students. However, the implementation of AI also gives rise to various problems, such as technological dependence, decreased humanistic interaction, weakened critical thinking skills, and the potential for a reduction in spiritual values ​​in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research. Data were obtained from scientific journals, books, and various relevant literature sources, then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results show that the use of AI can increase the effectiveness of Islamic education learning when integrated with spiritual and humanistic values. This integration strategy is carried out through strengthening the role of teachers as moral guides, developing ethics-based digital literacy, and implementing humanistic learning based on Islamic values. Thus, the use of AI in Islamic education needs to be directed to create a balance between technological advancements and the formation of students' religious character.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Self-Regulated Learning in strengthening the learning independence of students at Darul Khoir Islamic Boarding School. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation of the boarding school caretakers, ustadz, administrators, and students. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that first, the implementation of Self-Regulated Learning is carried out through the habituation of students in preparing study schedules, determining academic and memorization targets, managing study time, and conducting independent learning evaluations. Second, supporting factors for strengthening learning independence include a disciplined boarding school environment, support from ustadz, religious culture, and social interaction between students, while obstacles found include dependence of some students on the ustadz's direction, low time management skills, and the influence of social media on learning focus. Third, the implementation of Self-Regulated Learning has positive implications for the academic development and character of students, such as increased learning motivation, critical thinking skills, discipline, responsibility, and self-confidence. This research shows that Self-Regulated Learning is an effective approach in building independent learning among students in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of teachers and educational staff in the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education quality assurance system at MTs Al-Islamiyah Kotabumi Lampung. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that teachers have a strategic role in the implementation of the quality assurance system through lesson planning, evaluation implementation, religious character development, and role models in madrasah life. Educational staff also contribute to supporting a culture of quality through administrative services, infrastructure management, and support for religious programs in schools. Supporting factors for quality implementation include the commitment of the madrasah principal, religious culture, and adequate educational facilities. Meanwhile, obstacles faced include limited learning time, differences in student abilities, and challenges of technological developments and the social environment. Quality strengthening strategies are carried out through improving teacher competency, strengthening religious culture, regular evaluations, and utilizing educational technology. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between all elements of the madrasah in realizing an effective and sustainable Islamic Religious Education quality assurance system.
