Abstract

Hyperbilirubinemia is one of the most common clinical phenomena in newborns, where hyperbilirubinemia occurs in 60% of Neonatus >35 weeks and 80% of Neonatus <35 weeks. Many factors influence hyperbilirubinemia. Hyperbilirubinemia if not handled properly can have serious consequences such as: kernicterus, chore athetoid cerebral palsy, hearing and cognitive impairment. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the occurrence of hyperbilirubinemia and determine the relationship between breastfeeding, type of childbirth, birth weight, gestational age and asphyxia in infants at RSUD dr.Gunawan Mangunkusumo. This research is an analytical research with a cross sectional design. The sampling technique used total sampling, with a total of 52 infans as the sample size. Univariate data analysis was conducted using frequency distribution and bivariate analysis was performed using the chi-square test. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 65.4% of the infants with breastfeeding were fulfilled, 61.5% of action childbirth, 57.7% of normal birth weight, 53.8% of term gestational and 59.6% of asphyxia. There was a relationship between breastfeeding with a ρ-value of 0.014, there was no relationship with the types of childbirth with a ρ-value of 0.628, there was a relationship between birth weight and a ρ-value of 0.038, there was a relationship between gestational age with a ρ-value of 0.016, there was no relationship between asphyxia and a ρ-value 0.226 with the occurrence of hyperbilirubinemia. It is hoped that health workers will be more proactive in providing motivation and education to postpartum mothers and their families about breastfeeding and signs of hyperbilirubinemia symptoms as an effort to prevent and early detect hyperbilirubinemia

Abstract

The prevalence of developmental deviations in children aged 5 years in Indonesia reported by WHO in 2016 was 7,512.6 per 100,000 population (7.51%). In PAUD Permata UNDIP there are 1.7% of children aged 30-72 months with deviant development. Development is influenced by internal and external factors. The aim of the study was determined the analysis of factors that influence the developmental status of children aged 30-72 months at PAUD Permata UNDIP. The research used a quantitative, analytic research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population of this study were all pre-school children and mothers who had children aged 30-72 months at Permata UNDIP PAUD, Semarang City, Central Java. The sampling technique used the total sampling technique so that 49 samples were obtained. Data collection used a questionnaire given to the students' mothers as well as a pre-screening developmental questionnaire (KPSP).The results show that the p value of the mother's education level is 0.000; mother's occupation 0.001; history of exclusive breastfeeding 0.001; child nutritional status 0.000; BBLR status 0.000; with É‘ = 0.01 there is a significant relationship between the above variables and the developmental status of children aged 30-72 months. From the factors that have been studied, the mother's education level and low birth weight (LBW) status are factors that have a strong relationship. The higher the level of mother's education, the better knowledge will be produced so that it can reduce deviations in child development. The community was expected to monitor child development and collaborate with health workers using the KPSP check-list sheet

Abstract

The implementation of exclusive breastfeeding for infants from 0 to 6 months old has been recommended by WHO since 2002, but the implementation of exclusive breastfeeding is still relatively low. According to Indonesian health data, the  exclusive breastfeeding rate in Central Java province is only 67.4%,  still lower than the national target of 71.58%  This is a reference for regional authorities, especially health workers in Central Java, to evaluate and develop strategic plans to promote exclusive breastfeeding. One solution to increasing breast milk production is to react. Re-breastfeeding is an attempt to breastfeed again after a long period of cessation of breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between mothers' knowledge and husbands' support on attitudes toward breastfeeding. This study was performed in the working area of the Lerep Medical Center using a horizontal method. The study population included mothers who did not exclusively breastfeed their infants and whose infants were 0 to 6 months old. The sampling technique was to sample a total  of 71 respondents. Research results  using the chi-square test show that there is an association between the mother's knowledge and her husband's support with rebirth attitudes with p-value = 0.001.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding given to children from birth to 6 months of age with no supplementary foods and beverages. exclusive breastfeeding was one of the keys to reduce infant mortality rate (IMR). The coverage of babies receiving exclusive breast milk in 2019 was 67.74%. The low level of exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by many factors, one of which is the mother's lack of awareness of the importance of breastfeeding in the first 6 months after giving birth. Breasts need to be prepared during pregnancy, which impacts providing IMD (Early Initiation of Breastfeeding), which influences exclusive breastfeeding. Research aim was to compare the effectiveness between  media phantom and video regarding the Breast Care Skills of Pregnant Women in the Third Trimester. The research used quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was obtained by purposive sampling of 60 people (30 intervention groups and 30 control groups). The results of data analysis used Mann-Whitney test. Results showed that p value p = 0.000, meaning p < 0.05, stating that the demonstration using phantom media was more effective in improving breast care skills in third-trimester pregnant women. In conclusion, it is hoped that this guide can be used by stakeholders or service partners and motivate pregnant women to carry out breast care since pregnancy so that they can successfully provide exclusive breastfeeding until the baby reaches 6 months.

Abstract

Continuity of Care (COC) is a service that is achieved when there is a continuous relationship between a woman and a midwife. Based on PWS-KIA data, the incidence or cases of pathological obstetrics in pregnancy were 12%, cases of childbirth were 13%, cases during the postpartum period were 7.4%, and cases in newborns were 3.7%. However, the implementation of Continuity of Care (COC) at the  Health Center itself has never been evaluated. This study is to analyze the implementation of continuity of care in pathological pregnancy services at Primary Health Center. This study was a qualitative descriptive study with 5 midwives and 2 pregnant women as the samples. The data were gathered through a Focus Group Discussion. The results of the analysis were in the form of a narrative. The service mechanism for pregnant women with their own pathological problems is carried out according to the SOP in the Puskesmas. Meanwhile, for pathological cases of pregnancy, a referral will be conducted to a general practitioner and will also be referred to a nutritionist if the pregnant woman has malnutrition problems such as anemia. The study reveals that midwives' knowledge of COC ranged from first heard (surface introduction) of COC to COC as continuous care. The support system in the implementation of continuity of care is cadres. The inhibiting factor in the implementation of continuity of care is that the limited number of midwives at Primary Health Center.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months is the most optimal way of feeding babies. A pre-survey conducted by interviewing posyandu cadres in the Way Sulan Community Health Center working area revealed that the factors that cause mothers not to breastfeed exclusively include work demands that interfere with the process of exclusive breastfeeding and the absence of support and attention from family or health workers in mother's breastfeeding process. However, these factors have not been tested for their relationships with the practice of giving exclusive breastfeeding. This study aim was to determine employment status, husband's support and health worker’s support, associated with exclusive breastfeeding for mothers who have babies aged 7-12 months in Talang Way Sulan Village, South Lampung. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional design with 90 mothers who have babies aged 7-12 months as respondents which taken by probability sampling technique. The assessment was carried out using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability before. Data analysis using Chi-Square. The results showed that there was a relationship between the mother's work and exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.005), husband's support and exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.000), also the health worker’s support and exclusive breastfeeding (p=0.002). It is hoped that this can become a reference for breastfeeding mothers, families, health workers and the government in overcoming exclusive breastfeeding coverage which has not yet reached the target
