Abstract

This research aims to improve the news text writing skills of class This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The research results show that the picture and picture learning model by producing products in the form of text using the discovery learning learning method is able to improve the ability to write news texts. This is proven by the increase in grades and writing results from cycle I to cycle II. In cycle I, the lowest value was 55 and the highest is 75 with an average increase of 21%. In cycle II, the lowest score was 80 and the highest was 95 with an average increase of 42%. The conclusion in this research is that using the picture and picture learning model by producing products in the form of text with the discovery learning learning method can improve news text writing skills in class XI TAB 1 SMKN 5 Surabaya.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to discuss the lexical and cultural meaning of naming villages in Teluk Segara District, Bengkulu City, Bengkulu Province, which includes 5 of the 13 existing Villages. This research categorizes them based on naming system aspects, (1) embodiment aspects, (2) social aspects, (3) cultural aspects. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data source was obtained from the Traditional Chair of Pondok Besi Subdistrict and the Traditional Chair of Berkas Subdistrict. The data obtained was in the form of interview data in Teluk Segara District. The results of this research reveal that the toponymy of the names of sub-districts in Teluk Segara District, Bengkulu City consists of various categories, including water elements, community social interactions, flora, tangible elements, folklore, nature, settlement patterns, activities, landforms, and building.

Abstract

Emotions can be manifestations of affection, happiness, anger, annoyance, hatred, sadness, disappointment, fear, depression, and so on. In every emotion, humans can exercise emotional control or emotional regulation. Expressions of verbal emotional regulation can be in the form of positive or negative words, phrases or sentences depending on how emotional regulation each individual has. The aim of this research is to find out how STKIP PGRI Ponorogo students express verbal emotional regulation. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Where the researcher used a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire which contained five questions or situational contexts to collect research data related to the form of verbal emotional regulation expressions of STKIP PGRI Ponorogo students. Furthermore, the collected emotional data and forms of verbal expression of emotional regulation were analyzed using psycholinguistic studies. The results of data analysis in each situation context show that STKIP PGRI Ponorogo students are good when experiencing emotions of happiness, anger, sadness, anxiety and depression, expressing their verbal emotional regulation using positive and good sentences. The results of this research can add information regarding the sentences used by students in their verbal emotional regulation and can be used as reflection material for lecturers in improving the learning process..

Abstract

This study  aims for describing the structure of the novel contained in the Sastra Tulisan Novel work Tenderlova , analyzing psychological figures in the Sastra Tulisan Novel work Tender experience dependence as problem psychology,, describing utilization of Novels in Sastra Tulisan work Tender as recommendation learning teaching materials Indonesian language at high school level . This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Subject in study This is a literary novel work Tenderlova and objects study This is the structure of the novel is intrinsic elements and psychological figures in the novel Sastra Tulisan. The results of the study show major theme: love and loss, minor theme: broken family after the death of Mr. Suyadi and the death literary figure because accident tragic . The plot or flow used in the Sastra Tulisan Novels channel mixed . Characters and characterization consists of from Andhika Sastra Gautama, Mr. Suyadi, Oktavia Sahara Dewi, Mother, Adhitama Abelvan, Eros Bratadikara Nayaka, Jovan Akhal Raksi, Adinata Aileen Caesar, Adelardo Cetta Early, Kin Dhananjaya, and Jeffry. background place: house, yard front house, campus corridor, park faculty, BK room, Sahara rented house, house sick. background time Morning day, afternoon day, afternoon, evening day, June 2, 2020, at four early days, six days, and two weeks. background socio-cultural simplicity reflected in method life as well as family values ​​in value connection between human. Language that is used very closely with everyday life, reflecting daily conversation with use of words that tend to be relaxed, the language used also contains figures of speech metaphor, figures of speech personification, and figures of speech hyperbola. Abstract

Activities to hone writing skills at MTsN 1 Mukomuko are still not widely implemented. In order to get students interested in writing learning activities using engaging learning materials, creative and innovative learning is required because they still struggle with writing skills and have poor writing structures. Audiovisual media is media that can display image and sound elements. The combination of these two elements is what makes audiovisual media have better capabilities. The purpose of this study is to identify the elements that encourage and discourage using audiovisual materials to teach writing persuasive essays. In order to make learning more successful, a variety of videos about persuasive text material are shown in the media. Additionally, because the media is very engaging for students, learning becomes more dynamic. This kind of study uses a qualitative descriptive method and is classified as qualitative research. Students in Class VIII A and Indonesian language teachers served as the research's subjects and informants. Techniques for gathering data included documentation, interviewing, and observation. Additionally, data reduction, data display, and conclusion-making are the steps in data analysis. The study's findings demonstrate how MTsN 1 Mukomuko's VIII A class has adopted the use of audiovisual materials to teach students how to create persuasive texts. Up till now, there has been an implementation of teaching persuasive text writing through audiovisual medium.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the acrostic technique in improving poetry writing students' skills in class VIII B at SMP Negeri 11 Bengkulu Tengah. The choice of acrostic technique as a learning method is to help students understand and apply the intrinsic elements and structure of poetry’s in a more creative and structured manner. This research uses a qualitative approach that uses observation, interview, and documentation methods. This study involved 27 students as research subjects. The results showed that using acrostic techniques significantly improved students' ability to compose poetry, in terms of creativity, understanding of poetry structure, and language expression.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application wordwall media in improving the ability to write official letters in Indonesian language learning for seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 13 Kota Bengkulu. This research uses quantitative research with a quasi-experiment method. The population in this study were all seventh-grade students, while the samples were from VII A and VII B classes consisting of control and experimental classes. Techniques for collecting data are observation, instrument tests, and documentation. The results of the study The ability to write official letters of VII grade students at SMP Negeri 13 Bengkulu City from the results of the study is the average percentage of the experimental class 79.48%. Meanwhile, the average percentage of the control class is 69.64%. Judging from the posttest value for each indicator varies where there are four indicators. For the effectiveness of the application of Wordwall learning media in improving the ability to write official letters from the data value sign. 0.05 (0.000<0.05), then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the structure of the novel Rasa by Tere Liye, (2) explain the social aspects in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye (a review of the sociology of literature), (3) the relevance of the research results as teaching materials for novels in high school. Qualitative descriptive research with the object of research in the form of social aspects in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye (a review of the sociology of literature). The research data is in the form of discourse in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye. The secondary data sources for the study are in the form of theses, author biographies, and the internet. Data collection techniques are using library techniques, observing, and taking notes. The results of the study are as follows: (1) the structure of the novel Rasa by Tere Liye shows the life journey of a high school teenager named Linda with various feelings of hatred, heartache, disappointment, and sincerity in her life. The plot used in this novel is a mixture. The main character is Linda. The settings in the novel Rasa include time setting, place setting, and social setting. (2) Analysis of social aspects in the novel Rasa by Tere Liye is as follows: the language system used is non-formal, the knowledge system in this novel comes from digital and scientific knowledge, the social system is social class and social relations. The system of life equipment comes from computers and lessons at school, the livelihood system comes from working as an editor, and the belief system is by worshiping God Almighty.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the contextual meaning in the novel Kata by Rintik Sedu using a semantic approach. Semantics studies the meaning of words, phrases, or sentences in language, both lexically and contextually. In literary works, language not only conveys messages explicitly but also through implicit meanings that are influenced by certain contexts. The novel Kata utilizes diction and situations to express deep meanings, especially those related to emotional experiences and interpersonal relationships between characters. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, with a focus on identifying and analyzing words, phrases, or sentences that contain contextual meanings in the novel. The results of the analysis show that the meanings in this novel are greatly influenced by the situational context, which allows readers to understand the meaning more deeply. This study contributes to the study of semantics and Indonesian literature, and enriches the understanding of how meaning is constructed in literary works through the context of its use.

Abstract

Music is a something that continues to evolve and influences the lives of Indonesian people. The album Uang Muka was popularized by the band .Feast is an album that conveys social criticism in its songs. The use of various language styles makes this song unique and provides a deep message to its listeners, but academic studies on this album are still limited. This analysis aims to identify the language style used in the album Uang Muka by the band .Feast. This study employed a qualitative descriptive methodology. Collection techniques such as scrutinizing, listening, and writing with the object of the research are song lyrics on the album. Data analysis techniques are conducted using content analysis methods. The research result of language style on the album Uang Muka by. Feast group with Gaya Bahasa Tarigan theory found 15 language styles. These styles include metaphor, personification, antithesis, hyperbole, satire, paradox, cynicism, sarcasm, litotes, epithet, synecdoche, alliteration, epistrophe, anaphora, and epizeukis. The use of language styles in the song lyrics seeks to create a beautiful impression while highlighting the intended message.
