Abstract

The rapid development of financial technology has transformed the way people conduct financial transactions, including the use of electronic money (e-money). However, despite this growth, many users discontinue using e-money over time, highlighting a gap in understanding the factors that sustain its usage. Various factors, such as customer innovativeness, ease of use, and perceived security, influence the adoption of e-money services. This study addresses this problem by identifying the influence of customer innovativeness, perceived behavioral control (PBC), and e-security on customer continuance intention to e-money usage (CCIEU). The study uses a descriptive method and a quantitative approach. Data was gathered through an online survey, where e-money users filled out questionnaires. The analysis was done using the PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling) technique. The findings show that customer innovativeness has a positive impact on CCIEU, mediated by PBC. However, e-security does not have a strong effect on between the relationship between customer innovativeness and CCIEU. These findings provide useful insights for formulating strategies to enhance e-money adoption in society.

Abstract

The food and beverage (F&B) sector in Indonesia is a vital contributor to national economic growth due to the essential nature of its products, making it resilient even during crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic and global economic instability. However, stock price movements in this sector do not always reflect the companies’ fundamental performance. One key indicator used in fundamental analysis is the Price Earning Ratio (PER), which compares stock prices to earnings per share. PER is influenced by several factors including Return on Equity (ROE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Current Ratio (CR), company size, profit growth, and macroeconomic indicators like inflation and exchange rates. This study aims to: (1) examine the effects of ROE, DER, CR, company size, and profit growth on PER, and (2) test whether profit growth mediates the relationship between ROE, DER, CR, company size, and PER. Using SEM AMOS for data analysis, the results indicate that CR and profit growth significantly affect PER. Furthermore, profit growth mediates the influence of DER and company size on PER. These findings suggest the importance of financial health and growth performance in determining stock valuation within the F&B sector.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the influence of various regional income types (PAD, DAU, DBH, and Non-Physical DAK) on capital expenditure allocation across districts/cities in Riau Province. This study uses secondary data, including DAU, PAD, Non-Physical DAK, DBH, and Capital Expenditure, from BPKAD and the Directorate General of Treasury of Riau Province. Data collection uses documentation from the websites of the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance, BPKAD, and the Directorate General of Treasury of Riau Province. The development of various types of income across districts/cities in Riau Province showed a positive trend during the study period, with DBH making a significant contribution, reflecting the region's rich natural resources. The trend and growth of capital expenditure in district/city governments in Riau Province fluctuated but generally increased. However, its proportion to total regional spending is still relatively low. DBH has the most significant influence on capital expenditure in districts/cities in Riau Province, followed by DAU, PAD, and Non-Physical DAK (not significant). The high impact of DBH and DAU on capital expenditure indicates a high fiscal dependence of regional governments on central government transfers for financing infrastructure development.

Abstract

The author's objective in conducting this research is to analyze the influence of financial technology (FINTECH) on the profitability of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2023 period. The author employed a quantitative method in conducting this research, utilizing secondary data from financial reports published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample for this study comprised eight banking companies over 4 years, selected purposively. The results of this study indicate that financial technology (FINTECH), as measured by e-banking, affects return on assets (ROA). This is because e-banking can reduce average operating and physical overhead costs for banks. Therefore, the availability of electronic banking services positively impacts bank profitability (return on assets). Financial technology (FINTECH), as indicated by e-banking, also affects the net interest margin (NIM) by reducing reliance on physical services (such as tellers and branches), thereby lowering bank operating costs. With lower operating costs, banks can maintain or increase profit margins from interest differentials. The ease of access and convenience of e-banking services encourage customers to hold their funds longer, thereby increasing third-party funds (TPF). This provides banks with a low-cost source of funds, reducing interest costs and positively impacting net interest income (NIM). However, this does not affect return on Equity (ROE) because e-banking cannot yet deliver the operational efficiencies of digital services and does not directly increase net income in proportion to Equity. This study contributes to the literature by identifying differences in the effects of e-banking across various dimensions of bank profitability and by revealing its limitations in increasing ROE, thereby highlighting an important gap for further research on more comprehensive fintech integration.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of social media quality and credibility on enhancing destination brand awareness through electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM), utilizing Perlang Tourist Village in Bangka Belitung as a case study. Despite its national recognition, Perlang faces challenges in digital branding and infrastructure, necessitating strategic social media engagement to address these issues. Employing a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 307 respondents via purposive sampling and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results show that both social media quality and credibility significantly influence destination brand awareness, with e-WOM serving as a key mediating variable. All seven hypotheses were supported, confirming the conceptual framework. The findings suggest that high-quality and credible content fosters trust, encourages user advocacy, and strengthens brand recognition. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding of digital branding in community-based tourism and offers practical implications for destination marketers seeking to optimize social media strategies.

Abstract

The growing environmental awareness has driven companies to adopt eco-friendly packaging as an innovation that minimizes impact and enhances corporate image among sustainability-conscious consumers. This study aims to examine the influence of green packaging on green purchase intention by incorporating four mediating variables: perceived green value, green attitude, green image, and risk perception. A quantitative causal-associative approach was employed, using a judgment sampling technique with 385 respondents residing in Batam. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. The results indicate that green packaging significantly affects all mediating variables. Furthermore, perceived green value, green attitude, and green image positively influence green purchase intention, whereas risk perception negatively influences it. These findings provide valuable insights for businesses in developing more effective green marketing strategies, particularly by accounting for the generational characteristics of their consumer segments.

Abstract

Situbondo Regency is dominated by farmers, providing residents with opportunities to become entrepreneurs in rice production. The rice business in Situbondo Regency needs to be developed to overcome the challenge of finding appropriate strategies for local conditions, to maintain more stable economic growth. This study has several objectives: to analyse strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats using the IFE, EFE, and IE matrices; and to formulate and determine accurate key strategies for use by rice businesses in Situbondo Regency through the SWOT matrix and QSPM. Eight alternative strategies were identified from the SWOT and in-depth market evaluation (TAS = 7.81) using the QSPM as the primary framework for the strategies used by rice entrepreneurs in Situbondo Regency. Empirical findings show that the main internal strength in the form of financial records has been well implemented, while the main weakness is that marketing has not been evenly distributed. On the other hand, external factors indicate that the main business opportunities are the absence of price differences among competitors, computerised customer data collection, many farmers growing rice around the business location, and interest in organic rice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial indicators on the performance of commercial banks in Indonesia, as measured by Return on Assets (ROA). The indicators examined include loan growth (LG), non-performing loans (NPL), loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR), market share (MS), loan loss provision (LLP), cost-to-income ratio (CIR), effective tax rate (ETR), and net interest margin (NIM). A quantitative approach was employed using hypothesis testing and panel data regression analysis on 43 conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020–2024 period. The results show that LG, LLP, CIR, and ETR have a significant adverse effect on ROA, while LDR and NIM have a significant positive effect. Meanwhile, NPL and MS show no significant effect. These findings highlight that operational efficiency, credit and tax management strategies, and effective fund intermediation are the main determinants of bank profitability. This study is expected to provide practical insights for managerial decision-making and investment evaluation, as well as enrich the academic discourse on the drivers of financial performance in Indonesia’s banking sector. However, this study is limited to a specific data period and does not consider external factors. For future research, the analysis should be expanded to include macroeconomic variables.
