Abstract

Madrasah is an educational unit that has been integrated into the national education system, so it is required to adjust the quality standards of educational outcomes, despite the fact that for more than ten years the achievement of standards is still far from expectations. Madrasah quality improvement management is a quality improvement method that is based on the school itself. So this study aims to analyze the application of quality standards as well as analyze constraints and find solutions to the quality approach in madrasas. This descriptive qualitative research uses an ethnographic study approach, which takes the object of quality administration management in secondary education units, at madrasah Tsanawiyah managed by Private Education Foundations and Islamic Boarding Schools in South Sumatra Province. The results of the study found that the constraints were mostly caused by internal factors in the madrasa, starting from the teaching and educational staff, infrastructure and supervision that were not working effectively, as well as the madrasah administrative governance system. An important finding in this study is that MTs need to take a madrasah self-evaluation (EDM) approach as a form of competency analysis and a reference for potential development starting from the internal conditions of MTs, which approach is relatively measurable and can be carried out in stages and continuously. The results of this study can be concluded that the system of governance and administrative management of MTs Suasta and MTs managed by Pondok Pesantren already needs to start improving quality starting from an overall competency analysis by changing the focus to madrasah self-evaluation.

Abstract

Teaching materials are any form of tools used by teachers in the learning process that provide information to students in accordance with the applied curriculum reference. Based on interviews with teachers from three schools, including SMAN 1 Blitar, SMAN 3 Blitar, and SMAN 4 Blitar, a change from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum was found, especially in class (X), to enhance student learning after the Covid-19 pandemic. During the learning process, teachers faced challenges in the form of varying levels of student enthusiasm. The use of printed books such as school textbooks and Student Worksheets (LKS) resulted in students being less interested in reading thick books. Based on these issues, the researcher became interested in developing an instructional material product in the form of an e-book and evaluating the feasibility of the developed product. The research subjects were Civic Education teachers and students of Class X in senior high school. Data collection techniques included product validation sheets and usage response questionnaires. The results of this study showed the development of the ELBOO AUVIS (Electronic Book Audio Visual). The material expert validation percentage was 98.4%, categorized as highly valid; the media expert validation was 85.5%, also highly valid; and the language expert validation was 90%, again highly valid. In the teacher's usage response test, the average percentage obtained was 94.5%, categorized as a very good assessment, while the student's usage response obtained an average percentage of 90.2%, also categorized as very good.

Abstract

The education in Indonesia is currently experiencing enormous problems due to the spread of Covid 19, therefore the government orders all teachers and lecturers not to do face-to-face learning during the pandemic. Online learning is one solution that teachers and lecturers can do to avoid face-to-face learning. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the success of online learning in the public speaking course at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. This type of research is quantitative research because it will calculate the value obtained by students in online learning during college. Data collection techniques in this study used attendance scores, assignments, midterm exams (UTS), and final semester exams (UAS). The data is then analyzed by accumulating the number of values ​​obtained using the assessment format that has been prepared in the form of Microsoft exel. The results of this study were the graduation rate of all students reached 80.8 with a passing rate reaching 100%. From these results it can be concluded that learning using an online system can be said to be successful.

Abstract

Technological transformation requires lecturers to increase creativity and innovation in learning methods that can increase student engagement and communication skills which are currently being played by Gen Z who are very close to technology. Therefore an approach with artificial intelligence is one of the keys to success in increasing engagement and communication with Gen Z. The purpose of this research is to find out the involvement and communication of students with artificial intelligence in higher education. The research methodology uses descriptive qualitative descriptive methods with data collection techniques using journals, reports, books, and field observations. The results of the study show that the learning process with high student involvement needs to be developed by lecturers so that learning becomes interesting and easily understood by students and artificial intelligence technology in higher education can be a creative learning innovation with student involvement and communication skills in responding to students living in today's digital era.

Abstract

A maximum In indonesian society, menstrual problems are still considered taboo to talk about, so early adolescents lack good enough knowledge and attitudes about the physical and psychological changes related to menarche.  The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge and the level of anxiety of elementary school female students in facing menarche in 2023.  This research used analytical methods with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 133 students of V and VI grades in Public Elementary School 009 Botania Batam. Purposive Sampling Process used Slovin Technique. Data collection by observation and questionnaire distribution. This statistical test using Chi-square parametric test. The results of the univariate analysis of the majority of respondents' knowledge were sufficient with 33 students (57.9%) and the majority of respondents' anxiety level facing menarche was at the level of not anxious with 34 students (59.6%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between the knowledge of female students and the level of anxiety in dealing with menarche. (p.value 0.001). It is expected that the educational institution will take preventive action by conducting education about premarital sexual behavior in students

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of self-awareness training to reduce perceptions of early marriage. The subjects in this study were 6 people who were divided into two groups, 3 subjects were in the experimental group (given training) and 3 subjects were in the control group (not given training). . Data collection in this study used the internal scale of perceptions of early marriage and was analyzed using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U technique. The results of the 2-group differential test using SPSS were Asymp values. Sig of 0.043 (p <0.05), this shows that "self-awareness" training is effective in reducing internal perceptions of early marriage. Subjects who attended training had lower internal perceptions than research subjects in the control group who did not attend training. The end result of this research process is the "self-awareness" training module which is designed as a form of intervention in reducing internal perceptions of early marriage that is feasible to use.

Abstract

This study examines the development of students' foreign language skills in learning English using the Flipped learning design which is designed with self-regulated learning strategies. The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental design. While the experimental group received learning strategies through a flipped classroom model designed with a self-regulated learning strategy, on the other hand the control class group received learning strategies that did not use the self-regulated learning strategy of the flipped learning class model. The results of the study show that the self-regulated learning strategy positively influences the development of foreign language skills in the flipped classroom model. A significant difference in support of groups working with the platform included self-learning strategies that excelled in speaking, reading, writing, and grammar test scores. However, based on the findings there is no significant difference in the results of the listening skill test. This Research also concludes that using strategies to help students be actively involved in activities outside and inside the classroom can contribute to improving their basic English skills.

Abstract

Recent research has found that the Growth Mindset increases one's motivation and achievement, both in academics, sports and work (Dweck, 2006). Individuals with a Growth Mindset will live themselves in the learning zone, and understand that their abilities can continue to develop in line with their efforts so they don't give up easily when facing challenges. Mindset is built through experiences and messages that individuals get when interacting with their environment. This study wanted to find out whether parenting style, which is a series of interaction patterns between children and parents (Santrock, 2014), has a relationship with mindset. Research on the relationship between parenting style and mindset of early adolescents will be examined in junior high school students in "X" Bandung City. It is planned that the research will involve 500 students. Parenting style will be measured using the Scale of Parenting Style constructed by Gafoor & Kurukkan (2014) based on Baumrind's theory, consisting of 38 items which are then translated into Indonesian. Meanwhile, mindset is measured using the Growth Mindset Scale consisting of 8 items constructed by Dweck (1999) and then translated into Indonesian. The expected results can describe whether the type of parenting style is related to the growth mindset of adolescent so that it can provide input to parents in assisting adolescent.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation, supporting and inhibiting factors of the habituation of Al-Qulr'an tadaruls before studying in forming the akhlakull karimah of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Leulwiliang Bogor. This type of research is a qualitative field research, the data is taken using the method of interview, observation, questionnaire and documentation. The data sources in this study are primary and secondary data sources. Checking the authenticity of the data using the triangullation technique. The analysis techniques that researchers apply are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the research indicate that the Al-Qulr'an tadaruls habituation activities are carried out every Tuesday, Thursday starting at 06.45-07.00 WIB in one day completing three Julz, Al-Qulr'an tadaruls activities round students accustomed and istiqomah reading Al-Qulr'an so that reading Al-Qulr'an is getting better. The conclusion of this research is that the habituation activity of tadaruls Al-Qulr'an has a positive impact because many students come on time, improving students' morals for the better, but there are a small number of students who come late so they do not cultivate tadaruls Al-Qulr'an. The sincere intention of students, school policy, participating stakeholders, the role of the Task Force from ROHIS members, Student Council and Class Representative Assembly (MPK) to help the Al-Qulr'an tadaruls activities become a supporting factor for Al-Qulr'an tadaruls activities in building morals. The lack of good communication, the distance between rulmah and school is an inhibiting factor.

Abstract

For students, character education (character formation) for the next generation must be very important, especially in the increasingly advanced and developing digital era, so that students have good morals and character for the social life around them. Principal leadership plays a very important role in influencing, motivating, improving and empowering all existing resources to implement student character development in the digital era. The success of the principal in carrying out character education is determined by: first, firmness and discipline in fulfilling every character building order; second, the principal's leadership encourages teachers and other education personnel to carry out character education; third, creating a conducive school climate and culture; fourth, exemplary school principals in the implementation and success of character education for all school children. The leadership role of the headmaster is shown by example and personality which is reflected in his behavior, understanding, abilities and experience as an educational leader and school principal who is a role model for all school members, especially students to realize character education.
