Abstract

Science education is essential for developing students’ ability to understand and apply scientific concepts in real-world contexts. However, existing studies often examine teaching strategies, worksheet usage, and engagement in isolation, leaving a gap in understanding their interconnected dynamics. This study examines the relationships between teaching strategies, student worksheets, and student engagement in science education. Conducted in junior high schools in North Sumatra, Indonesia, with 51 participants aged 13–15, the research employed a survey method analyzed via multiple regression. Results show a strong link between teaching strategies and worksheet use. Contextualized teaching encourages worksheets for analyzing experimental data, while project-based approaches promote their use in collaborative tasks. Worksheets significantly enhance engagement by fostering participation, confidence, and problem-solving. They provide structure, deepen understanding, and strengthen critical thinking and collaboration. Aligning teaching strategies with well-designed worksheets creates a dynamic learning environment, improving engagement and outcomes. Educators and policymakers should prioritize integrative approaches and effective teaching aids to optimize learning.

Cooperative Learning has quite high effectiveness in improving learning completion, but is not specific because there are many types of Cooperative Learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning in physical education subjects on Volleyball overhead passing material for class VII students at SMPN 42 Surabaya. The cooperative model chosen is the Time Token and Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) types because they are relevant to the potential of students in that class. The research method used is experimental research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The sample in this study amounted to 80 students, consisting of 40 students in class VII-F as the X1 TAI experimental group and 40 students in class VII-E as the X2 Time Token experimental group. From the calculation of the independent t test, it can be concluded that there is no difference between the TAI and Time Token models on the completion of volleyball overhead passing learning outcomes as evidenced by the t count value = 1.66 which is smaller than t table (1.66 <1.99). The cooperative learning model that has a greater influence on the completion of volleyball overhead passing learning outcomes in class VII students of SMP Negeri 42 Surabaya is the TAI type with a large increase of 0.376% in the skill aspect. Abstract

Sexual needs are included in the primary needs of a human being. While marriage is the provision of a container as a place to channel sexual desires in a halal and justified manner. The union of two people of the opposite sex in a marriage bond aims to create perfection in fulfilling the primary needs of both. However, in the relationship of LDR couples, they will encounter several problems related to the maximization of meeting the needs of both. So in this study we show how the Islamic review addresses the needs of LDR couples, especially in terms of their sexuality needs. Because they are separated by a long distance, the easiest thing for both couples to do is to utilize the sophistication of technology by having virtual intimacy. VCS (vido call sex), sexting, phond sex, using sex toys are some options for LDR couples to vent their biological desires. This phenomenon will be analyzed through a literature study by looking for the main references that mention similar discussions and then analyzed comprehensively based on scientific logic. Islamic teachings have rules related to these virtual sex fulfillment activities. Seeing the partner's aurat is permissible and worthy of reward for the couple either directly or through the media. While a further problem is the next action, namely the last effort to release sperm (orgasm) is something that is underlined. If it is done independently or with the help of tools, this is forbidden in Islamic teachings. Islam only allows the release of sperm through the right way, namely with the body of his wife (or slave).

Abstract

Psalm 137 is a very emotional and theologically important passage within the Psalter, providing insight into the tragic experiences of the Israelites during the Babylonian exile. This psalm vividly depicts themes of exile, mourning, and the need for justice, intertwining lamentation and imprecation within its poetic framework. The poem is structured in three stanzas, transitioning from feelings of sorrow (vv. 1-4) to a proclamation of loyalty to Zion (vv. 5-6), and concluding with curses directed at Edom and Babylon (vv. 7-9). The raw emotional intensity of this psalm confronts contemporary readers, particularly its severe imprecations, including the demand for divine punishment against Babylon. This article examines Psalm 137 within its historical and literary contexts, assessing its structure, themes, and theological ramifications. It underscores the psalmist’s plea for justice in reaction to injustice, stressing that these imprecations are not personal vendettas but a supplication to God as the supreme adjudicator. The paper examines the conflict between Old Testament imprecatory prayers and New Testament doctrines of love and forgiveness, illustrating their coexistence within the overarching biblical narrative. The article finishes by examining the significance of Psalm 137 for current readers, providing insights into its implications for contemporary interpretations of justice, suffering, and divine reactions to malevolence. Psalm 137 ultimately stands as a perennial testament to the profundity of human feeling and faith amidst injustice
