Abstract

This study explores the intersection of mathematics, particularly geometry, with spiritual values in Christian education. It poses a fundamental question: Can teaching mathematics also foster character development and enhance cultural appreciation in line with Christian principles? By employing a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative and qualitative analyses, the study evaluates the effect of this teaching method on children's cognitive abilities and character development. The results indicate that using traditional Minahasa cakes significantly enhances children's grasp of geometric concepts and helps instill cultural values, accounting for a notable 36.9% of the variance in learning outcomes. Ultimately, the research demonstrates how integrating ethnomathematics can build a sense of community and cultural identity among students, while aligning educational practices with Christian values of love and service, thereby supporting holistic development in early childhood education

Abstract

School-Based Management (SBM) is an educational management approach that grants schools greater autonomy to manage resources and educational processes independently and transparently. At SMK Negeri 6 Manado, SBM principles such as transparency, independence, partnership, participation, and accountability are applied to enhance educational quality and strengthen community relationships. This study employs a qualitative method through observation and interviews with school stakeholders. The findings reveal that SMK Negeri 6 Manado has successfully utilized SBM principles to address various challenges, including managing the salaries of honorary teachers through community participation. Additionally, collaboration between the school, community, and industrial sectors provides students with direct experience in entering the workforce. However, challenges persist in managing BOS funds, which can no longer be used to pay honorary teachers' salaries. The implementation of SBM at SMK Negeri 6 Manado demonstrates that this approach can support inclusive, relevant, and community-based collaborative education.

Abstract

In learning physics, mastery of concepts is a basic element that must be mastered by students. This is because physics emphasizes understanding natural phenomena and abstract natural principles, so logical thinking is needed to understand this in depth. Without good concept mastery, students will experience obstacles to solving problems, understanding physical phenomena, and applying them in the context of everyday life. However, current learning has not been able to have a meaningful impact on students' concept mastery, especially in physics, which is considered an abstract subject. Therefore, innovations are needed related to learning models and media, one of which is the TGT type cooperative learning model assisted by PPT integrated Quizizz Paper Mode. The approach used in this research is quantitative. The method used is an experiment with a type of quasi-experimental design, namely a non-equivalent control group design. This research was conducted at SMAN Arjasa Jember in early 2025. Sample selection using nonprobability sampling type purposive sampling and obtained class XI-1 as the experimental class and class XI-2 as the control class. Before being given treatment, both classes were given a pretest to determine students' initial concept mastery. After the treatment, both classes were given a posttest and obtained a significance value smaller than 0.05, which showed a difference in concept mastery between the experimental and control classes. Thus, it can be concluded that the TGT type cooperative learning model assisted by PPT integrated Quizizz Paper Mode has a significant effect on the mastery of physics concepts in high school.

Abstract

This title raises the tension between the call to discipleship, which demands self-denial and the willingness to take up the cross, and the reality of contemporary culture, which emphasizes self-image and popularity through social media. This article presents a theological-critical study on the meaning of discipleship in light of digital culture, which affects how individuals shape their identities, form communities, and understand spirituality. Using a qualitative reflective approach based on literature, this paper examines the literature on the theology of the cross, digital spirituality, and the phenomenon of modern narcissism in light of the Gospel. The author highlights how the selfie culture can harm the understanding of faith but also opens opportunities for contextual and creative spiritual reflection. The study's findings show that discipleship in the digital age requires the formation of an identity rooted in the cross of Christ, not in digital validation. This article encourages the church to establish an authentic, radical, and contextual pattern of discipleship in response to today's popular culture.

Abstract

This article explores the concept of fragility within Christian theology, specifically examining how the vulnerability of women in church ministry is encountered through the lens of holiness and the sacrificial work of Christ. Utilizing a vulnerability theology framework, the study analyzes how women live out their spiritual calling amid patriarchal church structures that often marginalize their roles and voices. By engaging with theological discourse on fragility, this article seeks to offer a renewed perspective on how women may embrace their vulnerability as a sacred element of their ministerial vocation. The research employs a qualitative methodology, incorporating literature review and analysis of church documents. The findings suggest that fragility is not merely a sign of weakness, but a transformative space in which women may participate in the broader redemptive work of God.
