Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the education management system at the Rumah Melati Special School (SLB), especially in improving the quality of teaching staff. Rumah Melati SLB is a formal educational institution that serves children with special needs from various backgrounds. The research method used is a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that planning, organizing, implementing and supervising educational governance are the main factors that influence improving the quality of teaching staff. Apart from that, regular training, competency development programs, and collaboration with external institutions such as the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Health also support the successful management of education in SLB. However, challenges such as the limited number of teaching staff in line with the needs of the special education sector are still obstacles that need to be overcome. This research contributes to enriching the literature on educational management for special education institutions and provides strategic recommendations for improving the quality of inclusive education in Indonesia

The respondents of this study were 178 students at second year of SMAN 2 Samarinda in the academic year 2024/2025. The data collection technique used in this investigation was a Likert scale with five ordered response options. The Multiple correlation formula was used to analyze the data for determining the relationship of the students’ reading interest and learning style toward their writing ability (Rx₁x₂y). The result of this study showed that There was a significant relationship of reading interest and learning style toward the students’ writing ability proved statistically by the value of Rx₁x₂y which was catagorized as strong correlation, because the value of F test which was greater than the F table. Based on that result, it is important for students to develop their reading interest and their learning style in order that they can enhance their writing ability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing a coastal environment-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on improving the science literacy skills of elementary school students in South Halmahera Regency. The background of this research stems from the low level of science literacy among elementary school students, particularly in connecting scientific concepts with real-life phenomena around them. South Halmahera, as an archipelagic region, possesses a rich coastal and marine ecosystem that has not yet been optimally utilized as a contextual learning resource. The PjBL model allows students to learn through active involvement in real-life projects relevant to their everyday experiences, which is expected to enhance their motivation, conceptual understanding, and application of science. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The study involved two fifth-grade classes from public elementary schools located in coastal areas, purposively selected based on similar socio-academic conditions. One class was designated as the experimental group, receiving instruction through the coastal-based PjBL model, while the other served as the control group using conventional teaching methods. Projects conducted by the experimental group included creating mangrove ecosystem models, organizing coastal conservation campaigns, and compiling science booklets on local marine biodiversity. The research instrument consisted of a science literacy test that measured three main indicators: (1) the ability to explain scientific phenomena, (2) the ability to design and evaluate scientific investigations, and (3) the ability to interpret data and scientific evidence. Data were analyzed using t-tests to assess differences in score improvement between the experimental and control groups. The results indicated a significant improvement in the science literacy skills of students in the experimental group compared to the control group. The average science literacy score increased by 27.3 points in the experimental group, whereas the control group saw an increase of only 10.4 points. These findings were supported by observations and interviews, which revealed increased student enthusiasm, active involvement in projects, and heightened awareness of local environmental issues. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of a Project-Based Learning model based on the coastal environment has proven to be effective in improving the science literacy of elementary school students. The findings of this study highlight the importance of developing curricula based on local potential and providing teacher training to integrate contextual learning approaches in order to enhance the quality of elementary science education, particularly in archipelagic regions such as South Halmahera.

The objective of this ponder is to decide the change in understudy learning results through the application of the show strategy among understudies of the Sarjana Terapan Pengelolaan Perhotelan at Politeknik Negeri Lampung. The populace of this ponder comprises of all 42 understudies selected within the program. The center of this inquire about is on students' learning results and learning exercises utilizing the exhibit strategy. This inquire about was conducted in two cycles. To gather the specified information, tests were managed. The inquire about strategies included a few stages: the arranging arrange (creating lesson plans, perception sheets, and assessment instruments), the activity usage arrange (executing the lesson arrange utilizing the show strategy), the perception organize (utilizing perception sheets to record discoveries), and the reflection arrange, which included the investigation, union, translation, and clarification of the information gotten amid the execution. The conclusion of this consider appears that the learning climate moved forward through the utilize of the show strategy. Particularly, understudy exercises, learning conditions, and understudy reactions amid the learning prepare appeared advance from the to begin with to the moment cycle. As for learning results, the normal score within the to begin with cycle was 68.09, which falls into the "reasonable" category, while the normal score within the moment cycle was 78.21, classified as "great." In terms of authority learning, 59.52% of understudies within the first cycle had not however accomplished authority, while 88.09% of understudies within the moment cycle did accomplish dominance. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how effective the problem-based learning model (PBL) that uses analog clock media in improving student learning outcomes in time concept materials in elementary and elementary schools. This study uses an experimental method with a pre-test-post-test control group design. The experimental group that used PBL with analog clock media and the experimental group that used PBL without analog clock media consisted of two classes. The results showed that the experimental group obtained an average posttest score of 85.7, then the control group obtained a score of 74.3. As per the t-test, there was a significant difference between the two groups (p <0.05). In addition, the student attendance rate in the experimental class reached 85%, while in the control class only obtained 65%. The feedback of the students was very positive, 90% of them enjoyed and benefited from the use of PBL and analog clock media, in addition to their understanding of the concept of time also improved. This study shows that the combination of PBL and concrete visual media significantly improves students' learning achievement, motivation, and interest. Therefore, it is highly recommended to teach mathematical concepts, especially those that must be visualized, in elementary school.
