Abstract

This study aims to find out how to instill religious values by parents to their children in the village of Mata Wolasi, Wolasi District, South Konawe Regency. This study employed qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research informants were 9 residents of Mata Wolasi Village who were selected by purposive sampling technique. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was then analyzed through several stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were four methods used by parents in passing on religious values to their children in Mata Wolasi Village, namely: habituation, example, advice and punishment. In teaching religious values to their children, mothers and fathers show the same role in the methods of habituation, advice, and punishment. However, fathers are more dominant in giving examples. Keywords: Internalization of religious values, children's character, parents' role

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning abilities through the use of origami learning media in fifth grade mathematics learning. This study is a classroom action research. The subjects of this research were the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 7 Lasolo, which consisted of 13 students. Data collection techniques used observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis was in the form of quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results of the study show that the use of folding paper (origami) learning media can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. The completeness of student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle was 38.46%, with an average value of 57.69. After the first cycle of action there was an increase in student learning outcomes with a percentage of 61.53% and an average value of 66.92. In this second cycle, student learning outcomes increased with a percentage of 76.92% and an average value of 72.61. Increasing student learning outcomes from pre-action to cycle II was 25.86%.Keywords: Origami, mathematic learning outcome, geometry

Abstract

This research was conducted because the results of students' mathematics learning were still low due to the inappropriate application of learning models. The purpose of this research is to examine the improvement of student learning outcomes by applying the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) model. This research is a class action research, conducted at SDN Satap 2 Konawe Selatan in 2 cycles. The subject of this research is class VI students in the 2021/2022 academic year, with a total of 22 students. The instruments used are teacher and student observation sheets, learning achievement tests and documentation. The research procedure starts from planning, implementing actions, observing, evaluating and reflecting. The research findings show that students' mathematics learning outcomes have increased significantly after the MEA learning model was implemented. Student completeness in pre-cycle reached 18.18% with an average score of 39.22. After the first cycle of action, students' learning completeness reached 50% with an average score of 53.63 and continued to increase in cycle II with a percentage of student learning completeness of 81.81% and an average score of 75.45.Keywords: Mathematics learning outcome, MEA, elementary school

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aims to determine the role of parents in the learning process of children in the new normal era, to examine how children respond to treatments/actions that are made by parents when online learning is carried out. The research data were obtained using interview, observation, and documentation instruments. The data was then analyzed through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the research data was tested by using source and time triangulation techniques. The results showed that the model of parental guidance for children when learning online was parents as directors, acting as facilitators, motivators, and mentors for children. Some children perceive the presence of their parents beside them to ease the child's work in understanding the material given by the teacher. However, some of the other children thought that parents only restrained their children from studying and did not give them the freedom to learn. Keywords: Online learning, parents’ role, student’s perception

Abstract

This study aims to describe the online learning system at SDN 11 Ranomeeto, describe the level of fifth grade students' learning motivation when learning online, and analyze the effect of online learning on students' learning motivation in fifth grade mathematics learning. This research is a quantitative study with a survey approach. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 11 Ranomeeto with 22 students as respondents. Data collection techniques are observation, questionnaires, and documentation while data analysis techniques use descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis. The results of the study show that the online learning at SD Negeri 11 Ranomeeto V during the Covid-19 pandemic used the Whatsapp application. The level of student learning motivation is in the (moderate) category. The simple coefficient value (r) is 0.935 which means that there is a very strong relationship between online learning variables and learning motivation. The results of the coefficient of determination (KD) show that the influence of online learning variables on learning motivation is 87.5%, while 12.5% is influenced by other factors not discussed in this study. Keywords: Online learning, student’s learning motivation, elementary school
