Abstract

This study investigates the development of tourist attractions at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) following its revitalization, using the 4A framework: Attractions, Accessibility, Amenities, and Ancillary Services. A qualitative descriptive approach was applied, with data analyzed using Nvivo 12 Plus to facilitate thematic coding and identify patterns from interviews and observations. The findings highlight substantial improvements across all 4A components. Additionally, three key post-revitalization dimensions are identified: physical, economic, and social. The physical dimension involves the development of attractions, infrastructure upgrades, and environmental conservation efforts. Economically, TMII has expanded income sources, empowered small and medium enterprises, invested in infrastructure, and hosted events, strengthening its position as a premier destination. Socially, TMII serves as a center for education, cultural engagement, and community interaction, fostering a dynamic and inclusive social environment.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine how service quality influences tourists’ interest in revisiting or staying again at a hotel. This study uses a quantitative method by presenting data variables in a structured, comprehensive, valid, and accountable manner. The sample consists of 100 visitors who have previously stayed at Hotel Salak Bogor, selected using a random sampling technique. The results of the study show that good service quality can influence the hotel's room occupancy rate, which in turn impacts the hotel's main revenue derived from room sales/rentals. The level of service quality is also perceived by consumers, which indirectly affects their interest in returning to staying at the hotel in the future. Therefore, the intention to revisit is determined by the quality of service provided to consumers.

Abstract

This study investigates how the increasing foreign property dominance in Canggu, Bali, fueled by a post-pandemic surge in digital nomads, is pushing aside tourism ethics. This influx has created an unprecedented demand for villas and co-working spaces, leading to a severe land crisis and heightened social inequality. The conversion of agricultural land into tourism properties, often ignoring sustainability, directly threatens Bali's food security and significantly damages vital local ecosystems, including the UNESCO-recognized traditional Subak irrigation system. Moreover, the escalating influence of foreign investors worsens existing social and economic disparities while intensifying the erosion of Balinese culture. Drawing on data from 400 respondents, this research proposes actionable solutions: a moratorium on commercial property permits in green zones, agricultural land rehabilitation, empowerment of the local economy, and stringent enforcement of customary law. Our policy recommendations highlight the critical need for sustainable tourism planning and robust property regulations to safeguard environmental and cultural sustainability. This study aims to deepen the understanding of more responsible and sustainable tourism practices in Bali and other regions grappling with similar developmental challenges.

Abstract

This study investigates how technology adoption, job stress, and the role of supervisors in the hospitality industry influence performance and the supervisor's role as a moderator. This study looks at these dynamics to provide insight into strategic management techniques that increase productivity, increase worker happiness, and drive long-term sustainability in the highly competitive hospitality industry. This quantitative research uses descriptive methods and uses SEM-PLS to test the data. The population is all employees of local 5-star hotels in Jakarta that have been operating for 20 years, with 400 respondents. The data collection technique uses non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. The findings of this research show that adopting technology improves performance but also increases work stress. Managed stress can boost performance. The supervisor's role amplifies the impact of technology and helps manage stress, contributing directly to improved performance. The research findings have theoretical significance and relevance, especially for the hotel industry. The hospitality industry can use the research findings to develop more effective ways to improve job performance while considering the critical role of supervisors in overcoming difficulties in implementing new technologies, paying attention to employee mental health so that operations can run smoothly, and encouraging sustainable practices
