Abstract

This community service aims to provide knowledge and understanding of buying and selling to the people of Palabusa Village. The method used in carrying out activities is counseling and question and answer. The results and discussion, namely Community Service is legal counseling involving Law Faculty Lecturers and Amaliah Work College Students (KKA) to provide legal counseling before the Palabusa Village community. Legal education about buying and selling is very much needed for the community, considering buying and selling is an act that is often carried out in everyday life.

Abstract

UMKM KIKA as an Small Medium Enteprise which was formed at the initiative of one of the residents who saw potential in the community around Bulu Lor village, Semarang City. The business has been engaged in is in the form of food processing, such as traditional cakes, pastries and cakes. Through the pre-survey activities carried out, several problems were found that were of concern and needed to be provided with solutions. Solutions related to product innovation will be provided through training on making derivative products from the remaining products produced by UMKM KIKA. Thus, it will minimize the waste costs that arise from the product. Apart from that, training is also carried out related to the preparation of financial reports. The method of implementing activities is carried out in three stages, including surveys, implementation, and evaluation. Based on the evaluation results it is known that 80% of UMKM KIKA members are interested in preparing financial reports, and 100% are interested in managing leftover raw materials into new products.

Abstract

The use of reference manager software in writing a scientific paper is an obligation for students of the Postgraduate Program at the University of Gorontalo. Unfortunately, there are still many masters of management students who don't know how to use the application at all. The purpose of this activity is to train students to get used to using the Mendeley application in writing a scientific paper. The method used is by conducting a direct introduction and training on how to use Mendeley. The results of this activity are (1) Students get new information and knowledge about reference manager software and citation techniques. (2) Students can apply the use of Mendeley software when compiling scientific work.

Abstract

Pupuk Rahman Hayati is one of the UMKM that sells agricultural fertilizer services to farmers and provides fertilizer orders from small and large scale. Meet the needs of both plantation, maintenance and flower growers. Suggestions for the use of organic fertilizers or other materials are intended to reduce the current problems arising from the use of chemicals that have been proven to damage the soil and the environment. Such as the use of chemical fertilizers will result in damage to the soil. From its structure, there are currently circulating organic fertilizers in the form of solid and liquid organic fertilizers. Liquid organic fertilizer is a solution resulting from the decomposition of organic matter originating from plant residues, agro-industrial waste, animal waste, and human waste containing more than one nutrient.

Abstract

Usadha or herbal-based traditional medicine has been widely used by the people of Indonesia, especially Bali. Bali is considered to have a great potential to become an area for developing herbal tourism destinations. Gianyar Botanical Garden is one of the tourist destinations in Bali which is suitable to be developed into a usadha tourist destination. This community service activity aims to provide initial ideas for the development of the Gianyar Botanical Gardens as an usadha tourist destination through focus group discussions, socialization, counseling, and provision of additional plant collections Tulsi "the queen of herbs", and promotional assistance through social media. The entire series of activities had been carried out in July 2022. The activities were also combined with the field visit activities of the Elective Study of Balinese Herbal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Warmadewa University. It is expected that the program will not only be able to increase the branding of the Gianyar Botanical Gardens but also herbal based medicine, especially among millennials.

Abstract

Hormonal changes in pregnant women are a process of preparing for the birth of a baby, pregnant women are very sensitive to infections from various microorganisms. Urinary tract infection is the most common bacterial infection in pregnancy, increasing the risk of morbidity and mortality of mothers and newborns. A white blood cell count of more than 15,000/mm3 is an indication of infection in pregnant women. Caused by viral, bacterial and protozoal infections. Infection in pregnant women must be detected early, in order to prevent preterm labor. One of the tests that can be done is to count the number of erythrocytes and leukocytes. This study was conducted to determine the results of erythrocytes and leukocytes in pregnant women. Community service education for pregnant women about the dangers of urinary tract infections in pregnancy to educate and inform health. Community service activities in the form of creative education through the presentation of poster and presentations are carried out directly at the bancaran village hall. Community service activities in the form of creative education related to education for pregnant women about the dangers of urinary tract infections in pregnancy in the Bancaran sub-district area were carried out well, and received a positive enthusiastic response.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to increase the capabilities of BUMDes Argo Manik in managing coconut/aren sugar production from upstream to downstream to create innovative and productive villages, and increase greening of the environment in order to support tourism and environmental preservation. The method used is the delivery of material from resource persons who are competent in their fields related to problems that exist in the community and training according to the directions of the resource persons. The result of this activity is an increase in the quality of coconut/aren sugar products that have been produced and managed by BUMDes Argo Manik in supporting the tourism potential in Kalipelus Village which in turn can improve the economy of the Kalipelus Village community. The conclusion that can be drawn from this activity is that the role of academics is needed in order to participate in providing solutions to problems that occur in society. This activity can also be input for the formation of an academic climate in tertiary institutions, especially related to the people's economy.

Abstract

Like as the fish processing industry in general, the traditional processing industry also has a significant environmental impact. This community service was aimed to provide counselling related to environmental health management to a group of “pemindang” at central “pemindangan” industry Kusamba. The material provided is in the form of the benefit and importance of personal hygiene and environmental sanitation in fish processing, especially pindang, demonstration and exercise of 7 steps of hand washing, socialization on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and eco enzyme based on orange peel waste, and provision in providing garbage containers to improve environmental sanitation in the area of “pemindangan”. The participants had high enthusiasm in following the activities and from 10 participants who took the posttest, all of participants received score > 70. This empowerment activities are expected to be able to increase the knowledge of the group of “pemindang” on the importance of environmental health for fish processing industry, including “pemindangan” industry.

Abstract

The PKK group and the Farmers' group in Sejegi Village, East Mempawah District, Mempawah Regency have succeeded in cultivating vegetable crops using hydroponic techniques, such as spinach, pakcoy, and lettuce. As an effort to improve the community's economy and utilize the potential of existing land. However, there are problems related to hydroponic vegetable harvesting carried out by partners, namely vegetables that are harvested only in the form of 1 product, namely raw vegetables that are sold to the market or sold directly to household consumers. Partners do not have knowledge about processing hydroponic vegetable products into various products or product diversification. Besides that, partners do not understand how to package packaging products for processed products from hydroponic vegetable plants and a lack of understanding of the importance of branding on products that will give an attractive appearance to a product so that consumers become interested in buying these products, and another problem is the lack of knowledge about how to marketing products online using social media such as Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The result of this community service activity is an increase in public knowledge in processing hydroponic vegetables and good marketing methodsThe method used is lecture, discussion, and practice. The final expected goal of this socialization and training is for the target partners to have knowledge in developing their business so that they can increase family income.

Abstract

This legal counselling activity is carried out to provide understanding to the community. This legal counselling is carried out based on the phenomenon that still occurs regarding domestic violence. Domestic Violence (KDRT) is one of Indonesia's most common forms of gender-based violence. The rise of domestic violence (KDRT) cases is a serious problem that cannot be underestimated. The PKDRT Law / Elimination of Domestic Violence is a guarantee given by the state to prevent domestic violence, take action against perpetrators, and protect victims. The method used is participatory, which is expected to play an active role in this legal counselling activity in the form of socialisation regarding the elimination of domestic violence regulated by law number 23 of 2004 concerning the elimination of domestic violence in articles 44 to 49.
